From the moment I got in touch with Matt, everthing went smoothly and I was happy with the result. I would recommend Fantasy Road if you are looking to lighten a load at any point.

I collected comics throughout my teen years, anything and everything, and I only really religiously read the Spider-Man stuff. When I moved out of my mother's at the tender age of 27, I left everything behind and never really looked back. Ever since I've been stuck with 10 longboxes I knew I was never going to crack open again.

Cut to adulthood: I'm married. I have a house and a cat and 10 longboxes that my mother insists she can't accommodate anymore. So now they live in my "guest room", which consists solely of these 10 boxes and all my washing. Fair play to my wife, she has said literally nothing about them cluttering that room up for the last 8 months or so.

But it's time, yknow? After trying unsuccessfully to reach out to a couple of local places, I turned to Google and found Fantasy Road. Obviously, some things seem to good to be true, so I sent off a query with trepidation and fear. That was last Tuesday. It's Monday now, and I've just finalised the sale and been paid! In less than a week, 20 years of baggage was packed up, shipped out, received and paid.

Matt is a true gentleman, he was upfront about the prospects at the start, and we have a very genuine conversation about expectation and what was realistic. I could definitely have gotten more money for my collection if I had split it up into titles and event collections and sold them off on eBay one at a time, but that's the last thing I want the hassle of doing. I wanted someone to take the lot off my hands and give me a fair amount in return, and that's exactly what I got!

If your collection is your nest egg and you hope to sell it all and retire, this probably isn't the way to go. It's a business, and the business only works if they can make a profit off what you sell them. But if you want someone honest to sell your unwanted collections to, someone who will make things as streamlined and simple as possible, then these guys are your guys.

I work in customer service (for my sins) and I know that the experience and reputation of your business rests solely on the communication you have with your customers. It was Matt's initial contact, courtesy and upfront nature that immediately reassured me that I'd made the right call.

I truly wish I had another collection to sell, because this experience was an absolute treat.

I found the experience so easy and very personal .. I sold a wee collection of comics as a down sizing exercise and Matt and team where great at looking closely at the comics and giving me a good price … don’t fear these guys …they seemed to really care about your comic books ,

Fantasy Road deliver on their promise to take any comics and give you money for them! Within a few weeks, we reached a deal, the boxes were picked up by courier, and I received the money a few days after. Matt is great!

A very good experience selling my collection to Matt. Clear communication, honesty and transparency on his offer, came to collect in person (although I am reasonably close) and paid promptly. Could I have made more selling them myself - maybe... but maybe not. Did I want the hassle and time cost - definitely not. And that's the equation you need to be clear on when selling you collection. Matt is a retailer, and needs to make a profit. He is also shouldering all the risk. Based on this and his clarity on the offer made, I was more than happy with the whole transaction.

My experience with Matt was smooth and professional from start to finish. I appreciated his upfront style and his appreciation for my collection, as well as his fair pricing in the modern climate. 100% would use again if I sell the rest of my collection and have already recommended him to others.

I have to say , Matt who dealt with me , through the whole process of selling my comics, was one of the politest , professional and helpful a person , you could wish to deal with. I completed a quote form on 13th September to sell some comics. As I never had a response I subsequently sent two emails one on 18th September and another on 9th October. Still no response from Fantasy Road. Finally I completed the websites customer form last week but again no response. It's disappointing not to get a response considering all the good reviews Fantasy Road get.

EDIT: After finding out from Matt my emails where disappearing into spam folder I had a very good exchange of emails with Matt who explained the current situation with selling comics. Even so I still wanted to sell what I had and supplied him with a list. Matt came back to my with a price I was happy with and after Royal Mail collected and delivered my comics over Saturday/Sunday I received my payment as promised. I have therefore change my rating to 5 stars considering the very good customer experience I received from Matt who comes across very genuine fella.

Found the company online as I was looking to sell a very old collection of childhood comics from 60s & 70s which had been in boxes for years. These were not pristine encased in plastic. I read these comics many, many times! Matt came back asking for more information - photos, condition of covers etc. Matt always responded quickly to any queries or follow up questions I had. In the end Matt made a very good offer as far as I was concerned to buy the collection. Once agreed he arranged labels for postage and after receiving & checking the items Matt made payment within a couple of days. Very happy in dealings with Matt. The process was clear, transparent & pretty quick. If only all companies were this helpful & efficient! Thanks again.

Having decided to sell my collection, the whole process was excellent. The knowledge of the books and the genuine interest and guidance really helped me. I would thoroughly recommend them.

I have been using Fantasy road for at least 12 months or longer now, Matt breath of knowledge is second to none and no where else could I find that rare key issue that no one else has or the flexibility he has given me where there has been something. I wanted but need to wait a bit of time to pay for it. Matt has also helped me to sell a collection that I no longer required and providing a more than fair price for the collection.
