I use FastReports in both apps for internal use and for our clients, and have done so for many many years. I don't think there is a comparable product on the market in terms of maturity, ease of use, or functionality.

Especially for apps developed for our clients (we're an IT services and support company based in the City of London, so app development isn't our core business) it allows us to quickly and professionally deliver product which has the look & feel and usefulness of software written by much bigger teams over a longer time frame. It just works, and works very very well, and allows either really quick, simple reporting all the way up to intricate and advanced reports via the inbuilt 'coding environment within an environment' scripting capabilities.

I haven't had a single reporting requirement yet where I haven't been able to produce something that either helped us as a business or that the client didn't love. It should be a default part of any developers toolkit, having tried most if not all of the Delphi reporting options this is by far the best.

I've worked with several tools for generating reports with Delphi, FastReport is, without a doubt, the best choice I made.

I am one man army, developing software for something like 25 years.
I'm the user of FastReport since... I don't remember :-) it might be early version 3 and still activelly using it. I've been able to prepare any printout or report my customer requested. Standard, cross-tab, unusual paper size (like receipts), interactive reports. And what probably encouraged me to switch from QuickReports was ability to export report to different formats. I use this feature intensively and what is worth mentioning it is still being improved (like size of the pdf document). In one word - excellent choice for reporting tool for Delphi C++ Builder and even Lazarus.

I've used Fast Reports VCL for 10 years now. It was purchased to provide numerous corporate reports and certified Timesheets in multiple native and web applications. I was able to utilize its stable and robust reporting engine to produce pixel accurate report forms. Whenever I had any issue, the tech support was responsive and very helpful with advice and code examples to solve my problems. I've since moved on to reproducing many of these reports utilizing the .NET version of Fast Reports. I'm finding that experiece to be just as good as the VCL version. Overall, I am very satisfied with Fast Reports VCL.

FastReport ist dabei ein wertvolles Tool zur Erstellung und Druck der Belege und statistischer Auswertungen. Besonders wichtig ist uns die Möglichkeit die Belege gleich im PDF-Format auszugeben. Sie können dann auch direkt per Mail versandt werden.

In der Anwendung ist FastReport leicht zu erlernen und bietet eine klare Struktur für den professionellen Einsatz.

Auch wenn umfangreiche Scripts eingesetzt werden, die den Report steuer, können wir keine merkliche Performance einbuße bemerken.
Die Bedienung des Designer ist trotz des Umfangs übersichtlich und schnell erlernbar.

We use FastReport for our merchandise management system Oktopus Pro. We have never regretted switching to FastReport. The reports are generated super fast and the possibilities we can offer our customers with FastReport are enormous.
Even when extensive scripts are used to control the report, we do not notice any noticeable loss of performance.
The operation of the Designer is clear and easy to learn, despite its size.
I am already looking forward to the next updates and the further development.

FastReport VCL ist dar beste Reportgenerator den ich seit meiner Programmiertätigkeit kennengelernt habe. Ich habe die unterschiedlichsten vorherigen Versionen (vormals Borland/ Embarcadero) der Reporttools kennengelernt, aber kein Tool war mit so vielen Möglichkeiten der Reportgestaltung ausgestattet, bei gleichzeitig einfacher Bedienung. Hervorzuheben ist auch der sehr gute Online-Support.

FastReport VCL is a very helpful and efficient reporting tool in the Delphi Embarcadero environment. We have been using it for over 10 years. Successive versions of the product bring corrections, it is worth being up to date with the latest version of FastReport.
FastReport is useful both for creating reports by programmers and end users, by being able to edit the report already in the running program.
FastReport seems to be the best tool for creating reports in desktop applications.

FastReport is a great and mighty product. For creating versatile reports of complex scientific data the possibilities are almost infinite making the learning curve quite steep. They offer, however, a fast and competent support, which makes reporting a joy.

I am a small company (one guy show) and using fast-report since version 2. I switched from quick report and the difference was day and night. Since using Fast-report the process of creating and modifying reports has been streamlined and the process times have been improved exponentially.

If your on the fence about this product i would advice you to switch immediately. it will save you countless time and effort in your projects.!
