Fbar filing is free, this site somehow is on the top of google search from time to time

This website is a scam. It was the top Google search result for FBAR filing but is in no way affiliated with the government and will charge you a $349 fee.

Be careful — this site is NOT the official FBAR filing site.

I found it through a top Google search result while trying to file FBAR. It looks legitimate and references FinCEN, but after entering sensitive information (SSN, foreign account details), it asks for a $349 fee.

FBAR filing is actually FREE through the official U.S. Treasury site (bsaefiling.fincen.gov).

This site is misleading and could easily trick people. Do NOT use it — go directly to the official government site instead.

This site is dressed like an official US govt website and is top of Google searches for filing an FBAR. The site looks legitimate, takes your drivers license, SSN and signature, and when you submit it charges you $327 for something you can do for free on the regular FinCEN site. Do not use!

This website pops up first on a google search for FBAR. The website, fbar.us, is designed to look like the government website at bsaefiling.fincen.gov. However, unlike the government site, these unscrupulous people charge a large fee to file the FBAR form that anyone can do by themselves. Their business model may be legal, but the business is essentially a scam. Don't fall for it.

SCAM! My husband fell for this site and uploaded all my personal info and copy of DL. Just froze my credit on all 3 sites (Experian, Equifax and Transunion). Shame on Google for not blocking them. Has anyone reported these folks to authorities?
Be warned, the $300 some dollar charge should alert you that this is a scam FBAR submission is FREE at bsa efiling. fabr.us is a SCAM!

SHAME on me for falling for this scam, and now they have my ss, id info, phone number and foreign bank accounts number info. I knew it was fraudulent when they wanted to charge $327, but by then it was too late; now they have stolen my personal identity info.

Its a scam, don't give the people your money. They still come up as advertised with google.

SCAM website that impersonates the official government site. It requests DL, SSN, bank account numbers etc. and pretends that it will file the FBAR for you for $327. The FBAR filing is free. Do NOT fall for this!

fbar.us is a scam website that gets traffic through paid search engine listings from people looking to submit their annual Foreign Bank and Financial Account Report. fbar.us collects highly sensitive PII and financial data and stores it on a consumer-grade Wordpress site on Hostinger. Some of the data, such as an image of the driver's license, is subsequently exposed to the Internet in the unprotected Wordpress /upload folder.
The website does not disclose the fee that it charges until after all data has been entered and uploaded. The fee is currently $325. fbar.us does not offer any value for this fee, as the submission process is essentially the same as on the FinCen.gov website, with the only difference that the former asks for a scan of a government id and a signature, neither of which is required when you file directly on the FinCen website.

This is a scam and I'm horrified that I gave these people my social security number. The FBAR filing should be free but they tried charging me over $300! That's when I started to get suspicious and investigate. The problem is that when I googled File FBAR this is the first thing that came up and I thought I was on the government website.

NOT the real FBAR website. I realized it only after I submitted everything so i went onto the government website and refiled to make sure my filing is valid. Now I keep getting multiple emails almost every day from Equifax saying my personal information is being found on fraudulent websites. SCREW GOOGLE FOR MAKING THIS WEBSITE THE TOP OF THE LIST!!!!!!!!!! I AM NOT USING GOOGLE OR CHROME ANYMORE ~!!!!!!!!!!!!

It deceives users with a graphic that resembles the original FBAR website, and it charges $327. I cannot believe Google advertises these scammers and put them in position no.1 .

Please help reporting it to Google Ad, and to Godaddys as the website domain is registered though trem

BEWARE - this is a scam site. They do not let you know that they are not FINCEN at any point and i never entered my credit card info directly or got my authorization - i think they got the credit card info from my browser possibly. FINCEN filing is free btw.

This website pretends to be the official FBAR site and tries to steal your personal information. They asked me to upload my driver’s license, SSN, and bank account details.
I realized it was fake only when they asked for a payment — the real FBAR filing is completely free.
Do not trust this site. They are impersonating a government website to scam people!
