Hopeless service
I can only endorse the 1* reviews. Their commercial surveyor has repeatedly failed to reply to emails, phone calls, voice messages, texts. We finally had to go elsewhere. No more Fenn Wright for us!

Wanted to view a property they have listed. The girl on the phone very unprofessional and telephone manner shocking.

On top of that Iâve already contacted them several times to refund the holding deposit with no answer ..

Hollow Promise
Lessons learnt. First buyer months in shifted quickly to an identical property in the block on a small technical issue, second buyer ghosted after offer, third buyer took near six months with no exchange and miraculously secured another property in two days.!!!! Progressing is extremely weak and ineffectual.
Water Heater Replacement
I have been dealing with Mel at Fennwright Maintenance in Stanway for the last few weeks on the above problem and now have had issue fully resolved. It wasn't easy for her, as it was a complex situation, but at all times Mel communicated with me to let me know what was going on. She is a credit to her company.
I would also like to mention Emily who was also very helpful, while Mel was on holiday.
Fantastic service
Fenn Wright were great to deal with during the recent sale of our house. Very transparent and acted very quickly.
We mainly dealt with Shannon Lay and she was fantastic from start to finish. Incredibly bubbly and friendly she really took the stress out of what could be a very stressful period. There was good communication between us and the buyers and she was very knowledgeable with all of our many questions!
We would definitely use Fenn Wright again in the future

Having recently lost both my parents, I was faced with the daunting prospect of having to sell the family home. It was a difficult time for me and my brother, but the help, advice and guidance given to us by Fenn Wright was second to none and made everything so much easier for us.
We predominantly dealt with Steven Geiss, who spent a lot of time with us answering all kinds of questions and concerns we had about the selling process, and his positivity to us made us feel at ease. The photos and details he put together were fantastic and exceeded all our expectations. Shannon Lay helped with the sales progression and always sounded so happy and vibrant, evening during more stressful times!
As a family I would like to thank Steven and Shannon for all they did for us, and we wouldnât hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Fenn Wright Colchester - HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE
Absolutely horrific experience with Fenn Wright Colchester!! We moved into a property a month ago, after pointing out some issues before the tenancy agreement was signed and promised it would be sorted before we moved in, we got the keys and were very excited to move into our home, well the professional cleaning was not so professional, the place was disgusting! Literally old food running down the side of the cooker, hob was dirty, filthy cupboards, floors and bathrooms. Then we had the pleasure of sewerage floating around our garden. A month into our agreement, we still have clothing and stuff that the landlord has apparently left in the house, we have no access to the garage where the boiler is kept, so hot water is not guaranteed! The emergency contact for the after hours contractors donât get answered, and when the one of two did call back 3 hours later, after many attempts snd messages, we were told he couldnât do the job, but even if he could not having hot water is not deemed as urgent! I have sent countless emails to get stuff sorted and I donât even get a response! unless I become demanding! We have metal frames and cement blocks lying in the driveway, a huge safety issue!! The garden has rubbish lying everywhere and also a storage facility for whatever the owner didnât feel like taking with when they moved. Furthermore two garage doors blocking our living room door! Some windows donât have handles to open. Eventually we get some contractors coming to quote on what needs to be done, but the landlord wonât accept the quotes and insists his brother needs to come and look at the issues! Well the so called brother is on holiday for a week and we have to wait for his return! In the meantime we are living with other peoples clothing and suitcases and whatever else is being stored in our bedroom! The garden sheds are full of old broken tools, sports equipment and equipment, and our stuff is lying getting damaged on the lawn outside, as we have no space to pack it, all this whilst Fenn Wright couldnât be bothered to assist or sort anything out! There should definitely be an option for minus stars, as what should have been an exciting time, has turned into a nightmare! Absolute disgusting service from all at Fenn Wright! A full inventory with many of the issues listed had been sent before us moving in, however it probably has not even been read nor acknowledged by Fenn Wright , I have never experienced such un professionalism! But I guess they get their money, so they donât really care!
Zero stars for us
Zero stars for us. We have had bad experience with the Ipswich and Woodbridge branches. Agents like to play games, keep you on your toes, play with your emotions so you can pay as much as possible (we are a one income family with young children). Yet, they accept offers for developers who pay way below the asking price, make up the house and sell it a year later for over 100K in profit. Shame on you all.

I wouldnât recommend Fenn Wright for sales letting. I previously had 20 years plus of dealing with them with no issues, but in the past 6 months I feel the service offered has gone down hill considerably!
I had 3 properties with them but had major issues with them and their contractors on a new tenancy where I was told their cleaners had been in but on visiting the property, I found they hadnât, I informed the agent who arranged for the cleaners to go back but the quality of cleaning was still very poor. I found out myself as there was no inspection from Fenn Wright to assure this had been done. I was even told that the cleaners had been in to clean, when in actual fact they had not.
As I was disappointed with their service, I moved the portfolio to a more reliable agent. Fenn Wright were to hand over the keys to our new agent but Fenn Wright had lost keys to two of our properties. They were instructed to appoint a contractor to rectify the issue but failed to instruct him properly, resulting in yet another failed attempt at resolving issues, which they had caused.
In my opinion the service I received was unprofessional, lack of communication between staff and I felt staff were undertrained or lacked experience in dealing with managing my portfolio and that some staff would benefit from supervision.
I will not be using Fenn Wright in the future!

Shannon went above and beyond constantly throughout the tricky process of a large chain, keeping everyone informed and facilitating everyone involved. After being told that all parties were in line and ready to go we were looking forward to moving to our dream property, as we believed the chain to be in place.
Four and a half months later and subsequently finding that, far from being ready to go; solicitors had not been appointed and mortgages had not been approved; the dream had slowly turned into a nightmare.
No sale, no purchase, no chain, no move and no faith in Fenn Wright.
The tired cliche of âpromising a lot, but delivering littleâ seems fitting for this agency.
We, therefore, consider that we were misled from the beginning.
If you are considering using Fenn Wright; my advice would be: think very carefully.
There are plenty of other agencies in the area.

Needless to say that while renting with them wasnât the best experience ever, I requested a few works like a faulty heater and door handles for them to call me back literally months later to say theyâre sorry their maintenance man let them down and they forgot about the issue.
Later Iâve lost my job and we had no move out, when telling them about it they first tried to make me pay an astonishing amount of money for an early release. We negociated that and agreed I would pay £1000 fine only to be released from the contract and they assured me no further payments will be requested from us.
When we moved out we have cleaned the flat throughout and made sure itâs left spotless.
Now they are harassing us and keep requesting further payments from us because apparently the have don another cleaning of the flat. THEY ARE THREATENING TO DESTROY OUR CREDIT SCORE IF WE DONâT PAY THEM THE MONEY THEY WANT.
Look, It is a perfectly normal thing for a property to need a quick refresh after tenants have moved out but since when that charge was meant to be put on the tenants? Admit the landlord decided to redecorate the flat once we moved out now are we supposed to be liable for that also? What kind of racketeering is that?
I feel utterly disgusted by Fenn Wrightâs behavior and practices.
