I'm a long-time user of Finch and haven't missed a day in 4 years. It helped me a lot especially in the beginning but it has now become a daily source of stress with crash after crash in my self-care time that was supposed to help and feel reflective, not add stress. Sometimes I can do nothing in the app. Scrolling down a bit can take minutes. It often won't let me type. Since the June event started it has been very disruptive. Fun features keep getting added while the app isn't stable enough as it is. Customer support used to be so friendly and sweet but for the past year or longer, the responses have been unhelpful and sometimes seem unrelated to the issues brought up. Again, this app is very cute and helpful with organization and mental health when it does function, which is the only reason I'm not giving it one star, but I am very disappointed and wish they still listened to us long-time paid users.

Horrible app. Crashes, lags and many other bugs. They are too busy fixing the supergirl theme stuff to care about the app working consistently overall. Customer service is very poor. No response ever. Sellouts. Greed always wins. The app didn't use to be like this and now it's unusable and the app development is horrendous.

My daughter introduced me to Finch. The little bird is very cute and I like the way you have so many choices for costumes, home decor, challenges etc.
It was good as a reminder for things like completing exercise programmes, ticking off my to do list and similar. I really liked sending her on adventures and the questions she'd ask at the end. Plus sharing a task each day with my daughter - drinking water.
I used Finch for about 3 weeks. My problem was, I tend to procrastinate. I began finding it harder and harder to think of things I had done well, or what had made me happy that day. I am usually quite a cheery person and I realise I control the choice of activities/questions. But I was becoming sadder and sadder as I struggled to answer these.
I have missed one day of use now and feel much less stressed. It is very cute and I can see the point. Maybe I just need to revaluate my tasks, but, for now, it's not for me.

I love this whimsical app and how it gently encompasses me to get more focused and consistent in several areas. I would give it 6 stars but I felt ripped off by physical purchases I made in the real store. Items are expensive and poor quality. A water bottle just has Finch content stickers stuck on it instead of what I took to be a printed pattern! And a plushie Finch on a key chain is poorly made with the facial expression looked angry on one and demented on the other ( I bought 2 as gifts). I couldn’t give them to anyone ! The point of Finch is the cuteness and whimsy . I’m still made about feeling ripped off which slightly rubs off on my day to day interactions with the App.

Lost all my data from 3 years. Contacted their support team several times, I finally had to create a new account. They restored a few of my items but the ones I really loved weren't available anymore. Not even a commercial gesture for this, this is really disappointing 😡

The good: the app is not just a ‘habit tracker’ but actively motivates you to engage in self care & develop healthy habits. It’s helpful for those struggling with chronic illness, ADHD & depression.

The bad: the subscription system for Finch plus is poorly implemented & off-putting. On downloading the app, you are offered a ‘free trial’ OR discounted subscription for Finch Plus (without knowing what Finch plus means & never having used the app). It would be far more helpful to be offered BOTH these options after having used the app for a week. I reached out to customer service about this and they were very dismissive when I wanted to upgrade to Finch plus at the discounted rate. It’s really expensive to purchase after you’ve tried the app: £9.99 a month or £59.99 a year. Unaffordable and demotivating for those struggling with chronic illness & finances.

Wie bereits andere geschrieben haben, hat diese App eine kostenlose Version angeboten, die in eine Bazahlversion übergeht. 2 Tage zuvor wurde ich erinnert und ich lehnte dann die Plusversion ab! darauf hin änderte sich die Oberfläche in die kostenlose Version- aber oh Überrraschung: zwei Tage später wurde mit die kostenpflichtige Version berechnet. Die Kündigung kann also NUR über den Google Store stattfindet und die App täuscht einen mit der Oberfläche und der Nachfrage- eine gaanz miese Abzocke, wo ich aktuell noch im Streit bin. Sind "nur" 40 Euro rund, aber es geht ums Prinzip. Ich gebe das jetzt noch an den Verbraucherschutz weiter. Solchen Anbietern gehört das Handwerk gelegt (und ich habe auch Bezahlapps, aber die sind seriös!).

I didn’t want to pay for additional features but somehow was upgraded to Plus. This was not clear to me. I would have cancelled I’d known. The first I knew was when I saw my credit card statement and it was too late. Finch won’t even respond.
Would definitely NOT recommend - especially for children if it’s that easy to spend money and not have an effective comeback

Careful with this app - after I deleted it I started getting texts from their number; claiming they were binance and verification codes for withdrawing from my binance account had been issued and to call them on 0845 132 6002 straight away. Not linked to my binance account at all, just trying to get my details. Be careful of scams!!

It's just a habit tracker, it isn't a therapy or "mental health app". It's also a very immature infantalizing app.

Did the 7 day free trail and being told they would sent a notification before the end of the trial. Never got one and got charged 80 euros for the yearly subscription.

Emailed support to ask for proof of the notification sent on their part and they have never replied.

Trash customer service and crazy expensive for what you get. Don't do the free trial or pay the subscription!

Scam. Advertised a free trial on the app and immediately billed me without offering a refund. Apple Store offered no support as well. Buyer beware.

This app keeps me in check
Goals affirmations, my hugs I can request, i can also shop for her room or bird house, her wardrobe, with points i have collected for self care, and I can see on a chart how I have progressed and more! I love this app. And I can name my finch with a small bird I used to have. I can also choose the sec I want.iy to.be
I've grown quite fond of her. I recommend this app. Keeps me on track.

I'd really love to leave positive feedback as the app itself is really nice!
But I was scammed by a faulty pop-up and can't get any reply from the support team.

The pop-up stated "start your 7 days free trial" and instead of a free period I was instantly charged 79,99€ for a 12-months subscription.

That's even worse as you can get one year gifted by a friend which is only 39,99€ in comparison! Technically it's possibile to gift it to yourself.
A friend of mine is only paying 39,99€ per year in her regular subscription. There is no need to pay 79,99€ for one year at all and I didn't plan to. But the pop-up promised 7 days free and instead instantly charged 79,99€ for 12 months.

I instantly reached out to the support team but haven't even heard back from them yet. I'm sure there is a possible resolution to this, but as I'm not getting any reply after being charged so much money, I feel helpless and scammed.
