We’re sorry you were unhappy with the matching results from our lenders. Fiona is a free online search engine that matches users with personalized financial product offers. All determinations of creditworthiness are ultimately decided by our lending partners and not Fiona.

Thanks for contacting us. We would like to provide some clarification and assistance.

Using Fiona to get matched with personalized loan offers has zero impact on your credit score, and Fiona will never submit a “hard inquiry” of your credit score. Fiona may only perform a “soft inquiry” of your credit score upon your use of our service, and you consent to us performing a “soft inquiry” in utilizing our service. A soft inquiry, sometimes known as a soft credit check or soft credit pull, happens when you or someone you authorize checks your credit report. Soft inquiries don't impact your credit scores because they aren't attached to a specific application for credit. If you applied for one of the personalized loan offers with a lender and filled out their application on their site, the lender may have performed a “hard inquiry” on your credit score at that time, which does impact your credit score. This is a required step in securing a loan from a lender.

Fiona is a free online service that only requires users to fill out a simple and brief online form. Our platform also utilizes soft credit inquiries only, which have zero effect on your credit score.

Please note that Fiona is not a lender. We are a search engine that enables you to search for and get matched with personalized loan offers from our expansive network of premium providers. By filling out our form, you are not applying for a loan but are simply generating offers that may be available to you based on the information you’ve provided. Fiona cannot guarantee pre-approval or pre-qualification, as all determinations of creditworthiness and rates are decided by our lending partners.

Once you choose a lender on our platform and go to their website to apply for a loan, the lender may ask for additional information and documentation in order to make a determination on loan approval. Fiona, however, is not involved in the formal loan application process with the lender.
