bus drivers were on time and great all week!

We are very disappointed with the charter service this morning. We booked and paid for two charter busses to depart from Bolingbrook High School at 6:30am today 2/9. One bus arrived at the school until 7am, the second bus did not arrive at all. The initial call to dispatch informed us that the second bus broke down and another bus would be sent to him to arrive to the school no later than 7:30am. Our final call to dispatch informed us that the second bus broke down again for the second time and will not be arriving to the school. This resulted in having our students squeeze into one bus with their band instruments along with band parents volunteering to drive their own cars and take them themselves. We understand that situations happen but, in this case, there was no attempt in communication from your end to us to let us know what was going on. We had to reach out to dispatch multiple times to ask what was going on.

Drivers were very kind. Everyone felt safe and well cared for. (Post trip, one of the drivers (Rose) even met me half way to bring me the bag I had left on the bus.

The reservation process was straightforward. The bus driver was punctual and polite. The bus was clean and well maintained.

Our driver, Thomas, was extremely patient and flexible with us when we had to leave later than our originally scheduled time. He was also ready to pick us up right when our event was over. Thanks to him, everything went smoothly!

We had a great experience with First Charter. The person we booked with - Jessica - was extremely helpful and friendly. Our trip was planned out perfectly.
The driver - Bill - was on time, reliable and friendly. I will use First Student every time I need group transportation!

The best . On time . Friendly Both Buses

First Student accepted my requested charter that included a 4:50 PM pickup for the return trip. The bus did not arrive until 5:23 PM. Additionally, we were not told that the bus would not be staying with us on the trip to Six Flags, and we had nowhere to put all our band instruments.

First Bus is extremely accommodating and goes out of their way to work with you. Very good service!

We have used First Student in the past and have never had issues. However, for this trip our bus arrived to pick up our group of students much later than the time on our trip confirmation. The driver also appeared to struggle to stay focused on driving on our way back to the drop off location. He appeared unable to stay awake and focus on the road, even swaying from the road lane at times. It was obvious to the staff members on this field trip and even to some of our students, which was not appreciated for the safety of our group
