One sales guy knocked on my door today. He asked me my name and thought I was joking.

D’oh

So my boyfriend was talking to one of their sales guide at the door and informed us someone would call us back to confirm the appointment. I was in the living room next to my boyfriend when the phone rang and somebody named Emily Bishop called on behalf of this company but during the confirmation call she couldn’t decide if her name is Emily Bishop or Rebecca? That was quite offputting which is it Emily Bishop or Rebecca? Anyways we cancelled the appointment because if they can lie and make things like that up so easily what are they going to do when they come to your house to quote and have to see the reviews on here wow absolutely stunning but not for the right reasons. Please remove our system details and do not call us again.

My partner and I had a quotation and decided to get some work done from this company but because we were on our cool down period of 14 days related decided to go and cancel the order we went into the office to hand the papers in that we could get our deposit back but when it came to receiving our refund from my deposit it didn’t happen as easily as it should’ve done eventually we had to contact the bank to get them to step in to resolve the matter when we were at the office we spoke to the manager Shaid who also goes by the name of Charlie or Gary (all the same person, not sure if you have multiple personality disorder or not or if you just tries to be all these different people) anyways my partner she asked if she could use the ladies room and when she went to use it the floor was soaking wet. There was water everywhere and toilet rolls constantly on the floor and the place looked in absolute mess, I can only imagine prison being for cleaner and suitable to live in the state of this place, but that’s not the end of it even after multiple attempts to get her money back as stated we had to go to the bank to get them involved and the company refused to hand our money back saying they did not get the paperwork back in time even though we hand-delivered it personally ourselves 

Constantly harassed on the phone, but feels like almost a weekly basis, I’ve repeatedly asked for so long now not to call me again and to remove me from your system, i’ve been for to put a TPS online to report you all from contacting me so if you do not stop it, I will see you all in court and look to shut this company down

Just before Christmas I’ve last year I was talking to somebody at the door and gave them my contact details for the summertime of this year for a quotation on a new build Orangery or an extension for my property I did not give my details to any other company prior or since because the person I spoke to at the time was quite friendly and polite well mannered and charming unlike a lot of canvases that I get at the door you are quite pushy, however I received a call from Shropshire home improvements today I had five missed calls from their number and based on some of the reviews I have read I strongly believe this company has been sharing my number also which is quite disgusting and will now be seeking legal advice against this and the other company I spoke to somebody named Ben he said he had one of Shropshire home improvements and apologised for any problem caused and states somebody used to work at First Choice and since rejoined the company

Fifth job completed by First Choice. This time the External cladding. Opted for the Anthracite Grey, Astonishing!!!

Some lad gotta be middle-aged all thereabouts come knocking on my door today late morning to tell me my windows need changing as they are more than 10 years but only just and thought he could try and convince me they need to be done but when I told him I am a next builder and retired he didn’t expect that for a comeback but instead of leaving me alone he tried every sales tactic possible to have a quote to which he knows for well if I want my windows changing I could do them myself for a fraction of the cost so why would I use another company to take my hard earned pension especially given the mixed reviews on here?

But when he couldn’t get anywhere about the windows, he then tried to get me on the guttering and make out I’m too old to climb ladders. I’m not even 70 years old yet and I’m fitted a fiddle.

So last summer, my wife and I made an appointment for a quotation and our windows to be changed they offered a 12 months no obligation quote and offer offered interest finance package if we wanted it
Sadly we failed the finance and couldn’t quite afford to pay the price they were offering just at the present moment however we thought that would be the end of the matter but it wasn’t well a few follow-up calls to see if they could convince us to use a different broker which we did consider, however felt it was best to leave alone until early 2026 and a few weeks ago I received a follow-up call from someone in the office to see if we were ready to renegotiate I decided to pass on the opportunity but no I’m getting phone calls from a company in Telford you are not connected to this company. We’ve only had one quotation for our windows and not shared our information with anybody else so why is the company having our details without consent?

Trying really hard to push me into having an appointment with them for my windows
The guy at the door didn’t seem to want to take no for an answer and will try every trick in the book to convince me otherwise having an appointment with him

This was the experience of last year, but since then, what do we get constant phone calls asking for more work when they can’t even rectify the mess they made in the first place

So I live in Redditch and I’m at work this morning when my phone rings not supposed to answer my phone unless it’s vital important anyways I get a couple of missed calls from an 01952 number and I’m thinking to myself I don’t know anybody in this area so I automatically think it is a spam number after doing some research on Google against the number and checking it it belonged to a company called Shropshire your home improvements so I decided to return the call to find out who it was and this middle-aged woman named Toni answered and I thought to myself hang on a minute I recognise that voice I spoke to you a few weeks ago but not at this company then it dawned on me. He heard that voice before and it was First Choice doors and windows who I gave my details to some months prior for a quotation on a door and two windows so this company seems to be sharing my personal information with other people

I’ve experienced this today with Shropshire home improvements in Telford as I received a call from this company who I’ve never interacted with before and found out today that First Choice Doors windows in Wolverhampton have been sharing my data with other companies

After a great job of doing my flat roof on one of my dorma windows, I decided to come back for my conservatory. And wow what a fantastic job your have done (husband and wife team). It's now been a month since the fitting and I'm very impressed with the quality of my new conservatory 😊. Thank you again for such a great service, sure to see you soon.

Pushy sales guy at my door today some Welsh lad telling me my gutters need to be changed when all they needed was to be cleaned
When I told him I wasn’t interested, he didn’t take that lightly, in fact either tried to come at me again to say that I needed all the work on my house doing like the garage on my roof but it only felted last summer
After reading the reviews on this page this evening and then the comments back from the company I would find it hard to believe the comments from this company or accurate but would be more inclined to believe the reviews listed based on my experience today alone

Has this company merged with another company in Telford called Shropshire home improvements?
The reason being a few weeks ago, someone called me from this company a woman not sure of her name but the same woman called me today from Shropshire home improvements or are they selling my details to another company?
Rather concerning to say the least especially given the experience I’ve had with this company some years ago, this company was rubbish then so if you are not sharing my details, I would like you to get them back and remove them and if you have merge, remove my details regardlessly absolutely unacceptable

Some woman named Toni contacted me a few weeks ago from this company now today I have received the same person called me from another company on an 01952 number in Telford. I know it’s the same person because I recognise the croaky voice as she spoke, why is this company sharing my details with other companies without my consent? Isn’t that law breaking?

Fuming is an understatement
So a few years ago, I gave this company my address phone number ETC for a quotation on some work
I’ve since received phone calls from Shropshire home improvement in Telford. I would love to know how this company has got my details transferred to this other company without my consent and before anyone asks no I did not give shops you home improvement my details whatsoever.
This is absolutely disgusting
