Unable to create an account for vet advice which is included in my policy as they can not verify my policy details and there is no customer service available until Monday to resolve the issue so now I have to wait until Monday to seek advice and my dog will suffer over the weekend. I’ve visited a vet but believe the advice and medication they given is incorrect as my dog has an eye ulcer and has been prescribed conjunctivitis gel which is not working at all.

I recently ordered some dog food from the new first vet shop. The correspondence from Mary in the customer service team has been impeccable!
I managed to mess up and order the wrong thing and she was so friendly, kind and helpful with getting things sorted for me so that my dogs would have what they needed.
I honestly cannot remember the last time I had such a good experience with someone in customer service who actually seemed to care!
So refreshing to have a support team that do just that support rather than judge or seem annoyed when people ask for help.

Don't get me wrong, the vet was fine, so if this is a free service for you, use it! If you're looking to save on full price vet costs, this ends up being even more. As now we are paying the FV fee and our normal vets fee on top, due to needing another consultation to get the recommended test. Seems like a completely pointless process if this isn't included for free with insurance.

We have the use of First Vet for free as part of our dogs insurance. We've used it a couple of times and always had a great experience. It gives peace of mind and helps us to know whether we can manage a situation ourselves or whether we need to consult our vets in person. Excellent.

Had a call today 1st Jan 2022 from Dr Patrick Lennon this was to get advice on our new Cavapoo, "Olly" Patrick was fantastic he put us at ease and assured us that our dog would be OK.
I was asked if I had some pictures I coukd send for assessment which I did and was asked to show Olly playing and I checked his gums and gave feedback to Patrick I was reassured he was not dehydrated by carrying out a simple test whilst Patrick monitored this I would highly recommend this service.

I had a consultation with Dr Laura Stapleton. She was incredible. Put my mind at ease and diagnosed my pup in approx. 5mins. She was so helpful and personable and really made me feel at ease. Thank you so much Laura.

Firstvet is fantastic. I didn't have to pick my dog up and take him to the vet. The vet managed to see him on the video call and diagnose him properly. She was really kind and lovely. Saved me a lot of time and worry. Thank you!

This service is a life changer! It came free with my insurance and I was sceptical to say the least. I’ve had a few issues with my pup whereby I have called the vets immediately but in this case on a Saturday at 9pm I thought I’d give FirstVet a go. I had a call back within 30 minutes, I spoke to Dr Cathy who was amazing, so personable and lovely. She had a good look at my pups eye (as well as you can over a video call) and gave a few differential diagnosis’ and suggested that unfortunately I should attend the out of hours vet practice for further investigation. She was very calm (I’m not sure I was) and reassured me that eye problems are very common in pugs and that it’s best to get it seen to ASAP. I attended the practice who diagnosed him with a corneal injury - Dr Cathy’s diagnosis was spot on! I cannot thank you enough, realistically if I hadn’t have called I probably would have waited until I could get an appointment in the week (my little boy didn’t look unwell just had a few odd symptoms) and things could have been so much worse!

This service is honestly worth it’s weight in gold! Out of hours it’s £30 to call firstvet for advice/to put your mind at rest and it’s at least 5 times that to see a vet in person!

This service came with my insurance and it has been absolutely invaluable for me. All my virtual appointments have been on time, no technical issues, and always got thorough and helpful advice from the vets. No complaints here!

Really happy, actually able to really spend time working out when symptoms appeared, where/ environment etc. Due to covid and dogs getting handed over at the door, Im just not getting the time with a vet at my local surgery to look at real cause of problems and ended up with antibiotics that wernt necessary, the FirstVet I spoke was really brilliant, and happy to go into detail and properly diagnose an allergy. Very happy and relieved. Very happy my pet insurance Bought by Many pays for this service as part od my cover. Excellent combo :):)

I had a consultation with Dr Clare Sparks at 8.15 am today.
I am so grateful for her expertise and kind, gentle attitude. I was very worried about my Miniature Dachshund, Larry, who has diarrhoea and was up several times in the night.
We did some checks over a video call and Clare made several recommendations, which were followed up with a detailed email.
It put my mind at rest and I was able to get the gastrointestinal food and products easily and quickly.
Larry is still bright and cheerful and I’m sure he’ll be completely well very soon.
I’m feeling a lot better, too!

Used the online vet booking for help with our pup and they were brilliant in the 10 mins that we spoke for followed by an email with all the details and help included. Would definitely use again.

THE 24 HOUR SERVICE WITH A VET IS WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN "FREE" GOLD. Reduced so much stress with ZOOM call with vet in 15 minutes call back. Who would know a 'cancer lump' behind the ear was actually an overfed tick?!!

This is such an excellent idea. No cats enjoy vet visits and they become very stressful for the cat and the owner, so being able to video chat to a vet if you have concerns is fantastic.

I've so far used the service twice and both vets were first class offering great advice and reassuring me which is often all a pet owner needs.

The appointments have been available within minutes with lots of alternative times, again a very good service I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Firstvet, a really first class company.

I had a query about my dogs nails and I was quickly schedule into a call with a vet. This is a great service which connects you to a vet for great advice.

A highly professional service. I had a very young pup with a loud rumbly tummy and no appetite. My mind was put at ease by the vet and we were given a constructive Diagnosis and remedies... which worked a treat. All the information discussed was also emailed so as an anxious pet owner I didn’t have to remember it all. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Very good service. I was worried about my cat but wasn't sure whether I should go straight to the vet so tried First Vet for the first time. I would recommend it.
