Further to the above points, while we were looking for logistics partners for shipping to Ukraine during the war period, most of the logistics companies were not ready to take-up such services, whereas Flexport came forward & successfully handled & still supporting us in the crucial needy hours.

We have been working with Flexport Germany for almost 9 months and the portal is just great and user friendly. Our contact person is also very reliable and always gives the best to help us. Recently we had some questions regarding the customs and HS code and the Flexport Broker team give us a very good and professional support.
One small downside is that Flexport's ocean freight rate is not the best deal on the market, and it would be nice if the rate was still in a competitive price range and the price gap could be narrowed.

Great 3 yrs Experiences with Flexport
I have been "partner" with Flexport for 3 years, since 2020 the good year to 2021/22 the "shipment crisis". 3 years honestly was not a long timeframe, but with the shipment crisis, 3 years have become a decay of great experiences with good and bad memories with forwarders and carriers.
With Flexport team during shipment crisis, most are good experiences, as your team know well what we are our priorities and needs. We did see real work done and changes happened in Flexport, your team is able to make things happen instead of just talk and check without outcomes like other forwarders' did.
We could see and enjoy the great works your team has made with our account. Your QBR presentation was amazed us and this is a true highlights with Flexport team, no other forwarders (we did work with) could make such level of details about our shipments performance, as well issues we faced with. As a results via out the crisis, we could manage the minimum lost in shipment cost and being competitive and survived in the global market, which were really challenging years that you all may know.
We appreciated the energetic team we have worked with, although staff movement changes quite often.
Recent year is challenging among forwarders with low price and hope your team keeps competitive to keep our shipment volume and allocation in the highest level.

The platform and the ease of use, it's very easy to book a shipment, and the steps are very thorough, if you need help, there are so many people willing to help you with any questions.
Critical painpoints : 5Y flight delay and PMC mix
I want to let you know two things to be improved.
1) 5Y flight delay
In case of the delay, we have to cancel the nighttime shift-15 temporary workers- and trucks.It's our painpoint to increase labor cost and unstable operation. And we cannot keep our promised delivery date. The delay notice is too late to take actions accordingly.
2) PMC mix in the KE/OZ flights
In case of PMC mix, it takes two more handling hours in the terminal, it'll make the same situation as flight delay.

The team that is dedicated to the Eight Sleep account is super responsive, and that is what I appreciate above all else. When I need a status update on a shipment, I trust the right team in the right location will get back to me asap. Our dedicated account manager turns around quote requests and rate updates very quickly. I appreciate the ease of use of the platform. It's intuitive and has a great UI. Also, we use Flexport not only for international freight but for customs brokerage on truck freight to Canada, and it's always seamless.
Worst ocean forwarder in 30 years
I rarely write reviews or feedback. However, when I read Bloombergâs article 4/17/2023 on Flexportâs 2023 forecast, my blood boiled again, and I decided to write a review.
In my 30 years of importing various varieties of goods and exporting apparel to Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, I never came across such an incompetent forwarder. I worked with them for less than a year then I had to fire them. Had it not for the Covid19 pandemic that started a month after I kicked them out, I would have sued them. I used Flexport for around 20 shipments. We literally had issues with every single one. Their staff, from the sales rep to top management, are incompetent and not experienced in this business. They all repeat the SAME BOLD STATEMENTS they were taught at the companyâs meetings. They are all trained and pushed to brag about this crappy so-called high-tech platform of theirs. People outside the industry could fall victim and get impressed with such big fancy terms as âsupply-chain technology", just as outsiders were impressed with Theranos. As a matter of fact, using their platform is a waste of time for both the shipper and the consignee. Their platform reassigns some of the work from them, as the forwarder, to the consignee and the shipper. As an importer, all I need to know and have a guarantee of are my cost, ETA & delivery date. Flexport ranks No 1 in failing to provide at least two important and key information pieces. FIexport fails to give accurate delivery dates and costs. There is always some "issue" that arises with the delivery date they give us. There were always extra charges added to the cost because of their incompetence and lack of coordination with the trucking companies they use. I do not need a platform to know this basic information. An email is sufficient enough. They are the only ocean forwarder that refuses and gives the runaround to furnish its customers with monthly or bi-monthly GRI rates. Why is that? The other forwarders send monthly or bi-monthly rates. With Flexport, you must submit a booking request for each shipment and then wait a few days for them to send you the rate.
In February 2023, Walmart announced its forecast for 2023. The forecast, unlike Flexport's, is in line with what most in the market anticipate. At the peak of the ports' congestion during the pandemic, I came across an article about Ryan Petersen, the founder of Flexport, taking investors on a boat ride in the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports and suggesting solutions! I wondered at the time how he could offer solutions when he did not realize that his customers felt his platform was just a way for them to do some of his work for him. Why doesn't he hire the right people to do simple coordination between his customers and the truckers?

Completely incompetent company
Completely incompetent company, takes advantage of small businesses and arcane laws to force payment under threat of litigation for their ineptitude.
I've been importing for over a decade and was thrilled with the idea of Flexport, unfortunately they do not know the logistics business but just try to capitalize on technology. The results are delayed shipments and extra charges they force you to pay. Please please do yourself a favor and use a different freight forwarder.
