One star is too much for them. If I were allowed to go below 0, this would be the option.
I placed the order through a different platform Mega Flooring UK works through,
I placed an order that included the 305 Flat Easy Clean Palmate Rug Green/Light Beige. The website clearly listed only three available sizes: 170×170 cm, 230×230 cm, and 290×290 cm. These were the only options provided (I have saved all the screenshots). I selected the 230×230 cm rug priced at £129.10, and I paid for this exact item (screenshot saved).
Despite this, on 19/03/2026, I received a rug measuring 160×230 cm—a size that does not exist on the website and was never available for selection.
On 20/03/2026, I received two contradictory emails:
• One stating that a 160×230 cm rug was sent at £129.10
• Another stating the same rug size £160x230 cm was sent at £107.08.
I attempted to resolve this directly with the customer service. I received an email stating that I must pay £27.00 for the collection of the item I did not order, because the rug I had to receive should be 230x230 cm instead of 160x230 cm.
This demand is entirely unreasonable. I would not agree to pay £27 to cover expenses for their mistake, nor will I accept any attempt to shift responsibility onto me.
My husband and I then spent nearly eight hours attempting to resolve this through the customer service team (screenshots saved) from 20/03/2026 to 23/03/2026. The experience was appalling. We were repeatedly transferred from one person to another, spoken to dismissively, and given contradictory information. Several staff members openly acknowledged that this is not my fault, yet still insisted that I must pay the collection fee and that they were unable to process a refund. Their behaviour was unprofessional, unacceptable, and far below the standard expected from a company of this size.
I made a complaint on 25/03/2026 and still have not received a reply.
The treatment my husband and I received was disrespectful, dismissive, and wholly inadequate. The customer service failed to provide solutions and failed to take responsibility.
This situation has caused severe stress. I suffer from diagnosed depression, and this experience has worsened my condition. My husband, who is diabetic, has struggled to stabilize his blood sugar levels due to the stress caused by their mishandling of this issue. This is not a minor inconvenience—the customer service has caused real harm.
Still expect this matter to be resolved and hope to have my £129.10 back.
If I could give zero stars I would! Absolute con artists. I ordered flooring through the which turned up the wrong size and the only options they gave me (for their error!!) was a 20% refund or I could return the item which I'd have to pay for and organise myself and then I wouldn't get 25% of my refund because I would be charged for a restocking fee. None of this is transparent with B&Q or Furnishings UK Ltd or Mega Flooring UK or Home Furnishings UK Ltd (whichever version they are because they've used 3 different names, who knows which company it actually is). They also listed on the B&Q returns form the reason for the return was that I changed my mind, which is not correct. God knows they are a B&Q "verified seller".
This is the most useless company ever. Totally incapable of cancelling an order and getting it returned by the courier. Communication is useless, they just feed a load of sh1t! Why B&Q have them as a verified seller I will never know.
Purchased a rug online from B&Q. Turned out it came from this lot "trusted sellers" .
The rug is a different colour and quality than expected so I have tried to arrange a return, however mega flooring want £30 from me to return!!!!!! I have never heard of a return costing this ridiculous amount. They obviously don't want to accept a return, trying to ask me to keep it for a 10% discount, before coming up with this ridiculous claim. AVOID

I purchased Elka solid oak flooring & subsequently found some if it affected by wood boring insects. The manufacturers, Unilin, have had 2 more packs sent (via Flooring Megastore) & are waiting for an invoice number to pay a £200 refund to me through Flooring Megastore (payment towards labour costs for replacing some of the affected flooring). Unilin requested this on 27 March and it now 20 September.
This is the only way I can get anyone to respond! After leaving a 1 star review I got an email. I have emailed every hour for 2 days and had no reply.
You have sent the incorrect order and I need this resolved ASAP!
I have sent a form to your owning company Nestware Ltd to also try and get someone to reply!
Not having a website and no phone number is a disgraceful way to run a business!
If anyone is looking at this business I would advice you pay the extra and o to Carpetright direct!!

I read a few negative reviews on here which could be off putting however if you dive deeper into some of the negative reviews are moaning for the sake of it.
I purchased via flooring mega store as I had picked out the flooring at carpet right and done a quick comparison (44% cheaper with flooring megastore)
Once purchased the same team will reach out to you via email to confirm a suitable date (ours was a day late but it’s fine I emailed and they spoke to the courier came the next day)
I have had a slight issue with a pack of flooring and James emailed back fast and is arranging for a new pack.
The company use email as their method of contact rather than phoning which is really highlighted in the more negative reviews however this method really suits me as I have a record of all communications.
Overall this company is great and saved me a lot of money on my flooring and the service is really slick - highly recommend

Good range of vinyl at competitive prices. I found they offered the best price for the particular vinyl I was looking for compared to all other online and bricks and mortar stores even after delivery charges had been added. I ordered on 27th Dec and processing and delivery were within estimated timeframes. All very straightforward and smooth.

Extremely poor communication. Stock shown on website but once you have paid for it, they tell you there is insufficient stock to proceed. They cancel your order and it takes quite a while to get your money back.
I question if they hold any stock at all! I did email asking if someone could get in touch and advise me of what flooring they did have in stock, but I never received a call or email regarding this. Nobody answered their phones either.
Very disappointed indeed. Go elsewhere for flooring and save yourself the grief.
Thank you for your response to this review, but ignoring a customers request to advise on stock levels for different flooring from that range just goes to further my point of terrible communication. A lack of customer service is not ok in this financial climate where small retailers are fighting to keep businesses open. Larger and online retailers need to step up and improve not lay back and be lazy.

Ordered my new vinyl flooring on 9th December which was in stock ready for Xmas it's now 28th December and still haven't had a delivery or confirmation of a delivery date yet wish now I'd bought it from a different supplier, I won't be using or recommending flooring mega store again

I am currently waiting for an order placed 11 days ago. I have received confirmation of delivery date, no communication, although payment has been taken. No telephone number and no reply to emails or contact form.

Placed order 6000000012378 4th Dec.. No delivery arrived. No refund and no communication. When you call you can’t speak to anyone as they only reply to emails, also no reply to emails.
No order recd, workmen waiting to lay it and unable to understand what’s happened. Still trying. Would love a call to update 07957637429

After placing the order and paying, I then received a confirmation. The following morning I noticed a refund had been made so checked my order by tracker. Shortly after I received an email telling me that delivery could not be made. I asked about alternative arrangements......no answer! Very poor communications and terrible attitude.

Website not up to date, items that are stated in stock are not. No telephone only email for contact. They did cancel my order and process a refund but after nearly a week of waiting for responses when they informed me they did not have the stock items and they would take possibly a month to re stock.

Things have got even worse, I got a message from their courier and its for the 19th December, nearly a month after the order. I dont expect Amazon but do not believe their 7-10 day delivery guidance.
