Flymo quality has dropped through the floor!

On a whim I bought a new Easyglide 360V last week. Big mistake! The quality is awful. Flimsy - not easily to construct and feels as though the plastic will break at any moment. The cut is poor even with all the spacers in place. Also the electric cord is far shorter than my previous one. In all I think they are just cutting (scuse the pun) corners to make production as cheap as possible. It is now in a dark corner of the garage where it can rot and I have purchased a new blade for my 10 year old Glider 330 which still works very well.

DO NOT Purchase a Flymo battery…

DO NOT Purchase a Flymo battery Lawnmower.
Flymo has a problem with the rechargeable batteries for their battery operated lawn mowers. One battery would no longer recharge after using the mower twice. Their customer service centres provides a third rate service, taking 55 minutes to answer my telephone call. When the phone was eventually answered, was told they would send me a replacement. It took from 30 April to 20 May to arrive. And, the second battery has now failed.
Trust Truspilot. Fylmo is a rubbish company and do not do any business with it. You have been warned.

Flymo Lawnmower

My Flymo Venturer 32 developed intermittent fault then stopped working,got in touch with Customer Services via email who instructed me to take to local authorised repair centre who quickly identified and repaired fault, very happy with service and result.

Flymo spare parts replacement is awful.

Flymo spare parts replacement is awful.

I have a flymo lawn mower and the belt need replacing.

Ordered the belt, not in stock but 3 months later was emailed that the item was in stock. Paid for the item and three weeks later, still have not received the belt paid for.

Would I buy flymo again? Hell no.

I recently purchased a Fly PowerVac 3000 - great machine - I had a lot of collage debris from a 60ft conifer which had feel on top of my nice white chips but this machine sucked all the debris up but no the stones

Do Not Trust!!! They will just take your money and try to keep it!!!

I placed an order with Flymo on 29th March 2020. After a few days I received nothing, not even an order acknowledgement despite emailing them to chase this up. On 1st April I called Flymo and was advised that my order was not coming as although the Website had allowed orders they could not be fulfilled as there was no stock, therefore I would receive an automatic refund. I asked for this to put into an email but they advised this was not possible due to a shortage of staff!?
I placed an order elsewhere for a different lawnmower and awaited my refund.

On 4th April, I then received a shipping notification from Flymo!? Needless to say, I emailed them yet again advising of the above and yet again - nothing received back from them. Delivery was naturally rejected a few days later and I sent yet another email only to be ignored. Today is 14th April, and despite a further email regarding a refund I have heard nothing from them. I am now going through my bank to force a refund. This will be one of many reviews I post to warn others. Be warned - DO NOT DEAL WITH FLYMO, DO NOT TRUST!!!

Flymo Garden Vac Not Fit for Purpose

I purchased a Flymo Garden Vac 2700 in November 2019 to replace a previous reliable model that lasted 18 years. Within the first couple of uses the shredder became detached exposing the workings of the motor. Having re-attached it, it happened again.
I returned it to Homebase who did not quibble about replacing it. The adverse weather for the remainder of November restricted the number of times that I could tidy to garden but on the few occasions I was able to use it everything was O.K. Today,19th December I ventured out into the garden and the same issue occurred again. The shredder detached itself from the motor and became "lost" in the leaf bag.
I am sure that there is a H&S issue here. In the unlikely possibility that the shredder forced its way through the leaf bag it could cause a nasty injury to the operator. Sort it out Flymo.
I contacted Homebase and again they have been extremely helpful and they have agreed to take back the Flymo Garden Vac and issue me with a full refund.

I will be looking at an alternative Garden Vac in the future

My flymo garden vac failed after 10…

My flymo garden vac failed after 10 minutes of use and machine told by UK main agent was scrap and not willing to repair or replace. I would not recommend anybody purchase any machine showing flymo brand as very poor standards

less than 2 years after having bought it

I bought a flymo 330 glider mower one year and a half ago.

Recently the lawnmover has started to be more noisy. This was a bit disapointing but not that important.
Then, the turbine and the blade have fallen on the grass.
Luckily no one was injured.

After having looked closely at the pieces of the mower, it appeared to me that the ball bearing has too much clearance.
The bad ball bearing has caused vibrations, that made the device noisy and that have broken the fixing system.

I think all this is due to the poor design of the product. So my advice is stay away of this product.

Also flymo has a poor customer service.
My first mail to them has stayed without any answer.
They answered to my second email but very partially anyway

Mower working very well, but free grass trimmer is a different issue.

The Lawn Mower that I bought came with a free mini grass trimmer.
2 years later, the Lawn Mower still working and in good working Order!
The Mini Trimmer, however, is still useless then as it is now. the nylon line still does not cut. I have emailed Flymo regarding this issue heres their response:

"All of our products are tested by independent bodies to ensure they comply with CE approval & we can confirm that we have had the MiniTrim in our product range for a number of years with great success, as with all trimmers it is the rotation of the nylon line that trims the grass & therefore we are unsure as to why you feel it is not operating as it should.

We hope the above information clarifies the situation"

Bought hedge trimmer just over year …

Bought hedge trimmer just over year ago. Either the charger or the battery is not working. Spoke with customer service, as just over the warranty period and they will do nothing. A replacement battery and charger is almost the cost of a new machine, and they will not offer the replacement at a discounted price. Needless to say I will not be buying Flymo ever again!

Shocking customer service on live chat

Shocking customer service on live chat. Very slow to reply to your questions and many times completely ignored. When I complained I was told I was one of four customers on live chat and that was the reason for the delay. Great to feel like a valued customer!!
