The only app that has stuck with me. Really responsive support
Really responsive support. I have been using for 3 years already. This has been one of the only apps that have stuck with me, which is surprising, considering my ADHD. It helps me plan restriction for the times I am messy and can't restrict or focus myself.

Best Productivity App I Have
I've been using FocusMe for a long time, maybe 5 or 6 years. It's what allowed me to finish my PhD during COVID and it helps me practice the Pomodoro technique when grading papers or writing. Most of all, it limits my social media use to less than 5 minutes at a time, which has been the #1 reason I still use it. Sometimes it has its little bugs (don't forget to do your updates!), but the team is super responsive and has always been able to fix the issue.

Would you go to work in a movie theater, an arcade, or a stadium? No, of course not. So turning your computer back into a simple typewrite equipped with dictionaries, a couple of useful programs, and a few essential web pages might be a good way to gain incredible efficiency. That's what I do with FocusMe. The energy spent on self-discipline can go where it needs to go: into work. It's a relief. And once you get the hang of it, the program never lets you down. I've been using it for years
I've been using it for years, and it can cover all the corners other apps don't. I block everything I don't need for the task at hand, and have a few hours where there's nothing else to do on my laptop other than work.
If there's a technical question I send an email to support and they always respond with useful advice.

Some basic functions are missing
Without ChatGPT I wouldn't know how to set up even basic functionality. The interface is unnecessarily complicated, and some basic functions are missing. For example, I can't set the maximum daily and hourly time, say a maximum of 15 minutes per hour, and 2 hours per day. In addition, I can't set the ban to be for the entire YouTube except for exceptions for individual channels that are business-useful. You advertise that you have a Windows and Android app, but the Android app can't read Windows settings.
I regret paying for the entire year up front.

I'm sorry to hear you found the setup confusing. I also sent you a detailed email yesterday to help with the points you raised — in case you missed it, here’s a quick summary:
You can have multiple plans — one limiting daily time and one limiting hourly time. As a tip: after setting up one plan, you can simply right-click to duplicate it, then edit the duplicate to set the different time period you want.
Whilst direct filtering of YouTube channels isn't available yet, you can partially allow specific channels by using Website Title filtering.
We also offer a 60-day refund guarantee, so there’s no need to regret your purchase if you feel FocusMe isn’t the right fit.
I also apologize that our online chat service has been temporarily unavailable, as one of our colleagues was taken seriously ill and hospitalized. Being a small team, this has affected our support availability.

Its a nice app but in android you can…
Its a nice app but in android you can just avoid the blocking by starting a blocked app in shared screen mode like youtube. Then you can swipe the app to fullscreen and now you can use the blocked app.
Update: I got the new beta version of focus me from one staff which fixes this problem. Focus me is in a flawless path to block distractions

Do yourself a favor and get this app, take the free trial, two weeks i believe, you will make the purchase decision on day 1, the level of control on this app is just amazing, my fav feature is the fact that when a certain plan is on, it is insanely hard to stop it and unblock what ever u blocked! the use cases of this product are illimited, i hope the team keeps surprising us with new features
PS: DeepSeek recommended me this app, i signed up for the yearly plan, and it was the best investment i made this year so far!
