"Misleading Advertising & Arbitrary Rejection Without Explanation
Extremely disappointed with Fondy's business practices. Their website explicitly advertises: "Can I open a Fondy Business Account if I'm not based in the UK? Yes â you can open and manage your account online from anywhere in the world. Unlike a traditional business bank account, Fondy does not require UK residency or branch visits."
This is completely false. As a UK-registered company (with a proper UK business address) where I, the director, am based in Turkey but travel to the UK regularly, we were rejected without any specific explanation.
When questioned about this contradiction with their advertising, they simply stated: "We reserve the right to onboard clients in line with our Risk Appetite and our Compliance department has declined this application."
No specific reasons. No transparency. Just vague references to "Risk Appetite" without any actual criteria shared.
Businesses considering Fondy should be aware:
Their advertising appears misleading about international accessibility
They provide zero transparency in their rejection process
They offer no meaningful appeals process
I would strongly advise international business owners to look elsewhere for financial services that actually deliver what they advertise. This experience has wasted valuable time for our legitimate UK-registered business.

Messed me around for almost a monthâŠ
Messed me around for almost a month waiting for application approval only to be told that my client and I are high risk when all heâs doing is selling items through a manufacturer. Donât even answer the phone when you try to call up and ask why. Their office sounds like it has 5 people working in it from home, they canât get their act together and theyâve been established for 9 years. They are the high risk.

Fondy offers an appealing website with promising features for payments and banking, and the sign-up process is straightforward. However, my initial interactions with their customer service were mixed. While the onboarding process was smooth, the communication was unclear and somewhat discouraging when trying to verify if my site was appropriate for their services. Though I recognize the effort of helpful individuals like Pierluigi and Baran Ulgar, who provided excellent support, the overall experience left room for improvement. Without having experienced their services as a full customer, I feel a 3-star rating is fair.

This was a real dissapointment
This was a real dissapointment. For clarity I am not a customer, I did not get that far. On paper when looking at the website it has everything I need, great features for payments and banking. On contacting them they sent me an email back, strangle y through the contact from on my site even though I gave them my email. They answered half of my questions then gave me a warning how some site are not accepted due to reasins (did not say what) I had not even applied at this point. They said I could apply and they will consider me. Like they are doing me a favor.
I then tried the chat function to clarify my questions, also to see if my site was okay for them, I got a very negative message back how again they will consider me but no guarantees. Total negative experience.
Not accepting is fine but be clear as to why.

Wanted to sign up and sent a message through the contact us form. Got a response to speak to the chat team. Thought this would have been a smooth process but no. Just an agent talking riddles and not answering my questions. Asked for a phone number to which one was given only for nobody to ask. Thankfully I found out now. I really should have looked at the reviews first before I wasted my time. Oh well first hand experience of this is not a compny that you want to do day to day business with.

We recently opened our business multi currency (fond flow ) account with fondy. Baran Ulgar made our onboarding very smooth . He kept communicating with us till we got our account opened which is a true sign of a great account manager.

Not worth time and effort
Iâve signed up with Fondy as it seemed like a reputable payment processor for my small business. Unfortunately, to my experience itâs a lie. Completed all tasks, sent over all required paperwork and got declined due to itâs outside their risk appetite. Thank you Baran Ulger at Fondy UK for wasting 3 weeks of my time. Why you still proceed with applications, if you know youâll decline them anyway. Not recommend this business as theyâre only interested in big enterprises.

Yes, it did take 3 weeks, I signed up on 12th of July and got declined on 3rd of August. Iâve submitted some additional documentation and got a declining email a few hours later. You would let me know, if youâve submitted my application to your acquirer and they would take around a week to process my application. Yet, you didnât tell me youâve submitted the application and like Iâve mentioned above, the email stated âWe have decided not to process your application at this time, as it's outside our risk appetite.â, so I canât see whereâs the acquirerâs fault.

It declines all cards for no valid reason
After trying 6 different cards to make a payment on an Ukranian website and they ALL got rejected, I came to the conclusion the issue isn't with the cards, but with this crappy payment system. I have cards from multiple countries and I used them all over the world, it's extremely rare for them to get declined, yet, this "payment solution" managed to fail with each card.
As a consumer, I highly recommend business owners not to use this, because if I couldn't make a payment with 6 different cards issued by different countries, you can bet lots of people had the same issue.
