Spent a number of years with Forbes Young as my sole trader accountant and never had an issue whatsoever - efficent and supportive - thank you

Forbes Young accountancy are simply the best we could ever have wished for. Our company is now dissolved (due to retirement) but over the last almost 20 years their support has been nothing short of magnificent. Claire Thirtle in particular has been the shining star and there has never been a time when she could not answer our many questions, never a time when she could not guide us through the myriad paperwork tasks with HMRC, personal tax, company tax and beyond. Of greatest importance is the fact that we had 100% confidence that our business was on a sound legal footing with FY behind us. That is work more than money itself.

They did not just act on our requests but were pro-active in always bringing any pertinent matters to our attention, and always in good time. This meant that we never transgressed any rules or fell into any traps. We simply could not have done this without their expertise. There were never any waits on phone lines, talking to 'bots' but we always dealt with real people who were always willing and keen to help. What a relief!

A company needs to have confidence and trust in their accountants and vice versa. Forbes Young are without doubt the most professional accounting organisation that anyone could work with and we shall miss them not just as accountants but people too. Thank you so much for everything.

We got in touch with Forbes Young Accountancy in 2015 when we needed accountancy services for our Software Consultancy business. They were recommended to us by another Software consultant and we have been completely satisfied with their service ever since.

From our first business conversation with Graeme in 2015 and subsequently over the last few years with Claire, we’ve found them to be very thorough, professional and most importantly competent. They prepare your accounts/reports at the earliest opportunity and promptly inform you when information is needed from your business in order for them to prepare the obligated accounts/reports and subsequently submit them to the relevant authorities after your inspection and approval.

They also keep you up to date with the latest business rules and allowances and are only an email away if you have any questions or things which need clarifying.

They are security conscious as they use secure software to send you documents which require your inspection and make provisions (as part of the service) for you to do the same when sending them documents.

They respond to emails promptly and always explain things clearly. We are thoroughly satisfied with the service we’ve received from them over that last six years and based on our experience, thoroughly recommend them for any new/existing business looking for competent accountants.

I have been using Forbes Young accountancy for more than 8 years till I had to close my Ltd company due to IR35. I cannot praise highly enough the support and advice I have received from both Graeme and Claire from starting my company, during and closing the company. They have both always prompted me immediately when important things needed to be done and also they have always replied back to me immediately when I have had a question or when I have confirmed things. Everything has always been submitted on time with no issues. I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for an accountancy team to take there business forward.

Excellent service and good value for money for my contractor company. Always reactive to queries and timely reminders throughout the year. Also provided wider personal tax and government policy information as appropriate. Highly recommended for similar small contractor limited companies.
