I've purchased quite a few parts from Forge over the years, from Twintakes, to blow-off valves, hoses and gear knobs. Unlike a lot of other companies Forge customer service has remained excellent. I had some questions before purchasing and found their technical support team answered all my questions but went above and beyond the normal service, even heading off to the warehouse to put one aside for me to make sure I had it next day....so onto the product review.

I spent some time looking at the various options before choosing the Forge Intake, (Cravenspeed, K&N, Mishimoto, AWE) and after considering all these filters the Forge intake seemed the best value for the money. I was also keen to purchase a filter that came supplied with a CNC machined intake housing for the MAF sensor, from the quality and accuracy of the other parts I've owned from Forge I had high expectations and as soon as it was uboxed I was pleased, having seen some of the welded efforts that look poorly constructed this was very important area for me.

The airbox/housing construction is ver well done, it's an all metal constuction and powder coated with the fitment (size/shape) being bang on, it slotted straight into the old airbox mounts with ease and married up to the cold air ducting perfectly.

The filter itself is made by Pipercross and is a foam type, having owned different element types of the years I prefer the look of the foam filter, I also think they sound slightly better, but in terms of flow performance very much doubt there is much in it between the differing constructions.

Installation only took 15 mins with very basic tools needed, I removed the old airbox and replaced it with the FMINDF56 Intake following the detailed instuctions, the only one criticism I might have to the absence of a clip to re-mount one of the loom connectors that traverses past the airbox, on reflection the orginal clip makes very little difference and in no way effects the performance or function but from an OCD perspective it would be a nice to have... another clip to give it an even greater OEM look.

Onto noticeable differences, the biggest is the sound, the spooling/dump valve sounds are much more audible and a real improvement. Without putting it on a dyno I can’t comment on a performance side as it’s totally down to an individual own experience. The old backside dyno points to spooling being slightly keener, but for me it was the sound improvements after and it ticked the boxes there.

Overall I’m very happy with this purchase, it arrived next working day, the quality was up to the usual high standard, fitment is excellent and straight forward, finish is very good and it looks almost OEM. Ok it's not draped in carbon but unless you drive about with your hood up I really don't see the benefits, or the justification in price and when compared to others is certainly the best value.

Since I have an engine fault ,but if I put the stock dump valve I don't have engine fault
After I buy the forge service kit for m'y dump valve
I have the same engine fault

I like the friendly attitude of the staff. I'm not quite getting the drop in IAT I was expecting from my FMIC after reading the description, so I've purchased a turbo blanket. It's stumped me as to how to fit it without removing stuff so waiting on a reply about that. Overall prompt, efficient service. The quality of manufacture is very high on the products.

From ordering to delivery , top, had the Turbo Muffler Delete mounted today 29.07.17. A big difference to the original piece and it sounds great. Quality hardware 😄
Added to this is the intake from Forge too and the engine reacts significantly more precise 😁

The fit and finish and quality of instructions included with my BOV and Intake for my 13 Tiguan were all top notch. Above and beyond happy with the product I received and look forward to adding more of the Forge line up to my vehicle.
