I think this is a great concept, but I think people need to be very aware that this adds a whole new challenge to selling your house, because "traditional buyers" do not understand this cocept, or that it is legitimate. So, unfortunately, I am leaving this review, and making it low, as I can see that there are a lot of good reviews here, which is great. I think there needs to be balance. I got one or two enquiries, and once I listed with an agent, the buyers popped up there and openly stated they thought there was something wrong with my house, and thats the only reason that I was selling privately. I wasted 3, very, very important weeks, to try and save money and have control. All I did was add stress, anxiety and tears to my life. The only time I will ever recommend using this site, is if you have got zero timeline of when you want to sell, and you don't care how long it takes. The added stress of doing your own inspections etc...... blergh. Definitely do not recommend unless you are retired, really bored, or have aspirations to be a real estate agent and want to give it a try.

For Sale By Owner were great to deal with. Available to talk to on the phone with any questions I had and setting up my ad was so simple.
the information of the prospective buyers was forwarded quickly allowing me a quick follow up and quick sale.
I had my property sitting on the market for nearly 12 months with Ray White in Craigieburn with no success. They were constantly advising me to reduce my pricing by significant amounts and were giving me feedback stating what the viewers were finding wrong with the property and what they were willing to pay, but no offers.
I travelled from interstate to set the property up and had an offer on the table for exactly what I wanted within a month. My conveyancer was suprised at how quickly and easily this was achieved.

We love the concept but unfortunately it didn't work for us. It may be the conservative nature of the regional city we live in (quite traditional in terms of buying property via agents). I don't know the reason but we didn't get any real inquiries at all, despite our suburb being one of the most sought after in the city and attractively priced judging by the very few properties sold in the area over the past 12 months. As I said, the concept is excellent and I can see it does work for others. Best of luck!
