Good communication and support whenever you called the helpdesk. Underwriting asked for common sense information for the case and reached Offer in very good time. As a broker I will definitely be using them again

As a broker this isn't my first case using Foundation and always had good experiences. This most recent case had seen declines by other lenders however with the help of BDM Fiona Robertson and a sensible human approach to underwriting by Sajad Nawaz the finer points of the case were understood and my customer received the mortgage offer she needed.

Brilliant service from submission to offer. Deb the underwriter contacted me 3 or 4 times and discussed aspects of the case and then issued the offer. So refreshing for an underwriter to pick up the phone rather than ping pong emails! Will definitely recommend and submit further business.

Great lender when it come's to criteria, and for specialist cases.

Underwriter's lack a little on the knowledge to underwrite such specialist cases, but when you have a BDM like Cheryl, it just makes a broker's job so much easier, and the confidence to pick up the phone to someone who can make a difference to that final decision.

Keep up the good work guys, especially to Cheryl for all her help and support when needed.

I've always found the experience talking to FHL extremely polite and noticeably helpful. Shirli Henry the BDM was pivotal in a complicated case. Andrew Lang the underwriter was very fair and explanatory.

As a whole of market Mortgage Broker, I get to experience the highs and the lows of service from Lenders, Estate Agents and Conveyancers...however the continuing high levels of service I receive from Foundation Homeloans, easily puts them to the top of the pile. It is very reassuring when after a case has been submitted and is passed to the underwriters that you get a phone call from the underwriter assigned to your case just to talk through any documentation required and to ask any questions that may help move a case forward. Corina, the underwriter on this case has in my opinion set a new benchmark for underwriters everywhere to follow!

Our experience with FHL has always been great. The team are very hands on, problem solvers and have a commonsense approach to work. Let down on this case in particular as the case had to be referred to legal department who do not have SLAs and caused a two week delay once all underwriting has already been signed off. Their lack of response really gave a negative impact. Without the help of our BDM Fiona and Cheryl dont know what I would have done.

FHL themselves were fantastic. The BDM Keith Jones managed to obtain underwriter approval at the beginning of the process for a couple of things that were outside of their standard criteria.
Upon submission of the application the applications were being assessed with 1 working day which was incredibly quick.
The only thing that let the application down was the valuation. The clients paid £900 for a valuation report which when returned by the valuer had lots of mistakes and almost let to FHL declining the application. We had to go back with additional information and this took a while to be reviewed by the original valuer. When paying such a high fee, I would expect a better service, however this wasn't an issue with FHL in particular.
