Die freie Version von Foxit ist viel schlechter als alle anderen freien PDF-Angebote auf dem Software-Markt. Nicht einmal mehrere Wörter oder ganze Sätze kann man problemlos markieren, um sie später per copy-paste weiter zu verwenden. Dafür bräuchte man zwingend den Foxit-Editor.
Freie Software dagegen bietet die ganze Palette von Editierfunktionen an - also ist Foxit einfach nur eine Geldmaschine. Typisch USA !

Foxit knows exactly what I mean - so why engage me in discussing the problem?

Very easy to use with professional results.

I needed a PDF editor to manage online PDFs for a friends website (all free to download). Looked at a few different packages, but went back to the one I knew from Uni days.

Does everything I need and more. Currently on my 3rd year auto subscription

TL/DR: Buy something else. Foxit is an ok product when the features work. But their Support is slow, contradictory and ultimately not interested in solving problems.
Edit: Foxit DID provide a refund after multiple times saying no.

We purchased Foxit Editor for its form detection and addition capabilities - which are slightly better than Acrobats.

However after a short while we noticed errors appearing in PDF documents editted in Foxit - particularly when we applied different fonts to the fields. In our case it was - if our customers opened the pdf in Acrobat Reader, then they would get a "Cannot extract font" error.

We raised this issue with Foxit support, and that is were the frustration grew exponentially.
* After receiving generic support answers, Foxit CLOSED the support call "Due to the time-related constraints imposed by our ticketing system, I'm unfortunately compelled to close this case for now". Seriously - I am closing your support call that isn't resolved because the system makes me? - No. If you support has a time criteria - then FIX THE PROBLEM!
* And then radio silence for 2 months. I followed up support to be told "its a complex issue", received inane requests for basic steps.
* In the end I provided an example document - with no errors. I added 1 field with Foxit - errors. No response...
* Another month - and I request a refund. I had waited 3 months (at Foxit's request) without any evidence of progress on a resolution or any communication from support.
* Foxit responded with "we have swiftly completed a comprehensive technical analysis" - Swiftly? Either they took three months and didn't get anywhere. Or the parked the issue and decided to quickly look at it, AFTER I requested a refund.
* Their conclusion - "the error only occurs within Adobe Reader, while Adobe Acrobat works normally" - so they conclude its an Adobe issue. They even suggested I tell MY customers to log a call with Adobe. This is a widely reported error in the Internet - and Adobe clearly say - the issue is with a corrupt pdf or the pdf creator software. So this is just smoke and mirrors
* And the final proof of Foxit support "We acknowledge that Adobe Acrobat Reader displays an error when opening the document. However, the presence of an error message in a particular PDF viewer does not by itself demonstrate that Foxit introduced a document defect." So - because I can't technically prove that Foxit "introduced the defect" - they won't supply a refund. But If I use their product to modify a document - it introduces an error.

Finally Foxit said - "refunds are only eligible within 14 days from the original purchase date." Please wait while we (don't) investigate the problem. Now you have waited too long - no refund.

EDIT: Foxit did eventually provide a refund but only after multiple refusals.

Just don't buy this product. Buy anything else.

We approached the product because it was one of the few that managed Remote Desktop Services environments with user-level authentication. Unfortunately, however, the installation limit prevents the cluster from being expanded seamlessly. Although the license is per user, it is limited to two hosts.

Their product is phenomenal. I love it so much more than Adobe. The cost is prohibitive for my small business, though.

We've been using Foxit PDF in our architectural office for over six years. Overall, it offers many useful features and is a capable PDF editor. However, one of our biggest frustrations is the user interface. Many commonly used tools are difficult to locate, and we often waste time searching through menus and toolbars. A cleaner, more intuitive layout would significantly improve productivity.

Our other major concern is the pricing. We were surprised to see our subscription cost nearly double in the latest billing cycle. That increase has made us reconsider whether Foxit still offers good value for our business.

Because of the substantial price increase, we're now evaluating alternative PDF solutions. At the current price point, we may even consider returning to Adobe Acrobat or another competitor.

I bought a new laptop and wanted to add an extra licence. It was impossible and in the end i switched to another pdf software. Your payment and payment renewal process is extremely difficult. Foxit itself - once it works is very useful

The foxit version (PDF Editor) that I am using is very user friendly and corresponds well to my basic needs.

Intuitive to use, I regret however that the signature feature is not included into my paid version

All-encompassing PDF program
With this program I've got everything I need: conversion directly out of office programs, encrypting, decrypting, scanning, combining, and many more features. A great program.

Still, finding the user interface cumbersome and not able to do every word indexing of documents to create a catalog. What also like to be able to use under lennox, mint, cinnamon OS.

The online Foxit PDF version is unable to reduce file size and struggles to organize large files.

I quit using it because the characters got all pixelated and I didn't want to pay for AI I don't want to use.

Tool works well. I like that it's available on multiple platforms so I can use it on all of my devices.

I called Foxit Software to cancel my business subscription because I no longer need the service. The representative, John, was rude and dismissive during the call.

I was told that I could not cancel because the subscription was for a one-year term. However, I do not believe this was clearly explained when I signed up. The option appeared to be either monthly payments or paying for the year upfront, not a non-cancelable contract.

I am disappointed with both the customer service and the lack of clear information about the subscription terms. Customers deserve to be treated with respect.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend Foxit.
