Top business directory and top customer services and still free

I have been with FreeIndex 14 years. I have over 300 reviews & held number 1 position in Mobile hairdressing in the U.K on Freeindex for 12 of those years; thanks to FreeIndex and their time. I have received the greater part of my leads from this Fab company & it's crew.

We used airport taxi service, On Time Travel, and Danny picked us The taxi arrived on time to pick us and when we returned Danny was there to greet us at 3:30 am in the morning with a smile! So happy with the service.

I can honestly say without a doubt that meeting Julie has been a wonderfully positive experience for me.

She is kind, she is honest, she is direct and scarily accurate. A very warm person too. Immediately she will put you at your ease, no matter if your scepticism is evident, once she is able to tell you things that no one else could ever possibly know except you, then there is only one answer to that. She is gifted and has insight only few are born with.

This is not only of intuition but candour from a spiritual power which is something we cannot understand. Julie's inner talent is a gift to those who need that spiritual guidance in life and I would have no hesitation in recommending Julie for those who feel they need advice along life's pathway. There is no way that Julie could have known some of the challenges which popped up, absolutely no way. I will definitely be seeing Julie again in the future and will embrace the changes which are already unfolding…

Popped up years ago as a sort of 'Yellow Pages of the internet' way before any of the big boys had a chance to get their feet under the table, probably started as a hobbyist thing and took off from there.

Randomly found some of my customers placing reviews on there and it was generating presence.

Don't get me wrong it's not super-duper amazing and the only reason i came to write this review was because their widget's giving my server content-security-policy issues as trying to remove 'unsafe-inline' for no reason other than the fact i'm a pedantic over-polisher with a nervous disposition for green ticks and nonsense star ratings because i like seeing A+++ on them fancy screens at securityheaders.com and the like, where in reality fact my site doesn't handle payments and is no more than a pig in a silk hat where CSP/CORP/COEP etcetc is concerned because what hacker in their right mind would target a site with pictures of bricks and people on top of ladders with their spotty backboxes half hanging out :)

On that note, could you work out a way for me to implement the .js code locally so it doesn't breach CORP because right now that is the biggest thing in my tiny tiny world.

Was on a retail website and wanted to know their prices. "Free Index" title appeared on their page and I thought this was a list of the retailers prices. After pressing realised this was a separate organisation who informed me that they had placed cookies on my phone. No consent was requested or given. There is legislation requiring this which has been ignored

Must accept what you say - more open/fair if placed at top/beginning. May have pressed something trying to figure out what site was, and by 'using' site unintentionally taken as concent. Definitely didn't see or press "allow cookies" but told I had them anyway.
Received email from Trust Pilot. Freeindex requesting my email, phone number and further info so they can better assist/look into my experience. Have nothing I can add. Informed if I don't give them this private info, my review may be removed. So be it.
** T.Pilot sent reminder to contact company direct who have requested personal info (so they can help me) - or be deleted - despite my response above which is honest and accurate.
Ironic that a complaint re gathering private info gets a demand for more (too much of this going on - data is valuable to companies, many of whom are paying lip service to the legislation, if at all). Has it occurred to Trust Pilot this is a useful way of deleting negative reviews, and makes a nonsense of their purpose. I have responded to Company stating my private info is none of their business. I do not require their 'assistance'. I do have a right to privacy.
Under 'P.E.C.R' (data protection/cookies), cookies must be fair and transparent, if not the latter, they are not fair or legal. Subject must give 'affirmative' consent (take deliberate action to give consent). It must be as easy to remove consent as give it.

I passed my driving test today with only 4 minors,thanks to Lumi.
His way of teaching is excellent, lumi is very patient,he explain things very well and clear.
Lumi made me feel very comfortable in the car.

Advanced Removals arrived as planned today to remove some goods to storage for me.
I can’t emphasise how pleasant and efficient the two operators Mel and Chris were. With good humour they completed the job swiftly and I couldn’t have asked for anything more in friendly efficiency.
They are part of the reason that I wouldn’t consider any firm other than Advanced Removals to carry out any removal or storage jobs for me.

I have been with Freeindex for years and have had a number of equiries for my line dance class. This is perfect for someone like me who only runs a very small business. I would highly recommend.

I have my business listed on freeindex with nearly 300 reviews in the dressmakers category. The site is well maintained and I get notified of leads really quickly. If ever I need to raise a ticket for support it is dealt with really quickly and professionally. Seems odd to write a review for a review site!! But it's one of the best Sue Tye Dressed to Impress

My interior painting and decorating business has been listed on Freeindex since 2009 and I can not fault them. I have a premium listing and although I do receive quote requests from time to time, they are often from potential customers wanting work done within the next couple of weeks. Like many decorators at the moment my diary is very busy so unfortunately I can't accomodate them. I also receive work enquiries from potential customers direct by email after reading my profile and reviews, rather than using their online enquiry service. The Freeindex review system provides reassurance to potential customers because all reviews are vetted and independently verified by Freeindex before they go live. They also have an excellent support team who deal with enquiries extremely quickly and efficiently. Well done Freeindex and keep up the great work

Amended - Freeindex have even pledged to update the text in the website that lead to the issue. Any company that works this hard to make a customer deserves to be forgiven! I have gone from unhappy to delighted. Responding to customers is key to good business!

This review has been edited because following a negative review I was contacted by Freeindex and they resolved my issue promptly and handled the situation very well.

They lose a star because despite this their website bluntly states that no contact regarding reviews will be responded to unless regarding a negative review…which is why I initially felt unable to reach out to them with my issue.

I'm a self employed boat surveyor and have been listed in the FreeIndex for years. All the enquiries I've got through the Index have been genuine and as long as you respond quickly there is a better than even chance of getting the job

I've had a site on Freeindex for years!
Had about 5 so called requests in that time!
I have a rubbish collection company but the category's you can use are not for normal people!
I get referrals from Google, Yell and my own website! Because the category's are there!
They say get 10 reviews to get great stickers to show your on Freeindex? Why would you ask your customers from the site's that work for you to leave a review on one that doesn't? After years I've give up!
I bet they say thank's for the review or can't find you or please get in touch!

This directory is absolutely awesome I have received quite a few leads from it now.
it is great, it shows all your details and you're allowed to put on photos of your work.

Currently I use the free listing, but am considering using the premium one, as its costs less than £10pm.

I've been using FreeIndex on my site for a great many years now and whilst initially hooked by it's completely free service, I found the service was so good it was a service I was willing to pay the small sum of £10 a month for for nothing other than to hopefully keep the company in business and continuing to develop the service. (although the paid subscription does come with a few extra perks such as enhanced listing etc).
Compared to the rediculous fees charged by "other" review sites FreeIndex absolutely deserves the highest praise possible.
