Total scam wile they advertise “full ownership” the reality is far away from what they claim

You advertise “full ownership”, “one‑time fee”, and “no renewal costs”, yet the reality is different.
If I cannot create or manage a simple subdomain such as sofiaellemorgane.preventesbillets without paying an additional $99 per year, then I do not have full ownership of the TLD I already purchased.

Full ownership means full control — not partial access locked behind an annual fee.

To clarify:

If I must pay $99/year to manage or activate subdomains under the TLD I already bought, then the TLD is not fully mine.

If I cannot use my TLD unless I pay extra for “optional features,” then those features are not optional — they are required for basic use.

If the interface blocks the creation of subdomains unless I pay an annual fee, then the “one‑time purchase” claim is misleading.

If I do not have access to the smart contract or the ability to manage my TLD independently of your platform, then I do not have true blockchain ownership.

You are redefining “ownership” in a way that benefits your platform, not the customer.

I purchased a Web3 TLD specifically because you advertised permanent ownership with no renewals.
If I must pay more to actually use it, then the product does not match the promise.

This is why I consider the experience misleading scam. If you want a truly low‑cost Web3 TLD with real ownership and no hidden yearly fees, I strongly recommend comparing alternatives before choosing Freename. There are platforms that offer transparent pricing and do not lock basic TLD functionality behind extra subscriptions.

When purchasing a Web3 TLD through Freename, ownership of the blockchain asset itself is permanent once minted and is not subject to annual renewal fees. This ownership remains yours regardless of whether optional services are activated.

The optional yearly fee you reference is not a fee to “keep” or “own” the TLD, but rather for access to additional platform-based tools and infrastructure that simplify advanced TLD management, including certain subdomain monetization and management features.
