I bought a vango tent from the shop. It was a lot cheaper than other retailers.

It arrived very quickly and seemed like a lovely tent but I had problems with the poles. Simon (the shop owner?) was helpful to resolve the problem with vango and I got a new pole delivered rather than having to return the whole tent which vango wanted me to do at first.

The problem was resolved, new poles delivered and I was able to go on my planned trip with the tent.

Since then, after my positive experience, I've bought more stuff like a cookset and that arrived fast as well. This website is now the first place I check to see if they have it, when I'm buying camping gear.

Ordered a helm compact 2 tent . Arrived within 3 days . Great price and the tent is perfect . Exactly as ordered.
Only problem was that I emailed the company to ask a question and did not receive a reply . I tried to phone them on the mobile number advertised and after ringing for a while a message said number unavailable. So I have dropped a star off my revue because of this . My worry would be that if I did have an issue with the tent then I would not be able to contact the company .

Ordered an item and then received an email stating their returns policy for climbing harnesses. The very next day they cancelled my order because I had not replied to the previous email which had only been sent the day before.

I ordered Wild country helm 3 tent from fresh air junkie recently due to the fantastic price offered . It arrived quickly along with a groundsheet protector I ordered .
I’ve checked all the contents are there and everything is in good order - I’m ready to roll!
Before I ordered this I did read reviews on this company and personally I completely understand the policy on returns . It’s there for all to see and I felt a few were harsh .
I highly recommend fresh air junkie and I will happily buy from them again !

Great price and fast delivery with decent tracking.

Ordered a pack of meals and not only were they cheaper than anywhere else, they were delivered in 2 days in perfect condition. I could not ask for better service.

I would avoid ordering from Freshair Junkie. Read the reviews. If you get what you order, in the condition it should be in, you should be ok. But any problems with the order, condition of the item, etc. is your problem not theirs. Not a way to get return custom.

I ordered some gaiters for my dad's Christmas present. They arrived quickly and as described. I was surprised when a few days later a second set arrived. Long story short, I definitely only ordered once, the second order was an hour after the first (Freshair Junkie sent me screen shots from their system), I checked with my bank who couldn't confirm if I authorised the 2nd payment and suggested it might be a problem with the system Freshair Junkie use.

I contacted Freshair Junkie and was told I would be reimbursed if I returned to duplicate item, but would need to track the postage.

I hadn't read the review for Freshair Junkie until that point. Upon reading the reviews it was clear why I would need to send tracked and signed.

I was reimbursed for the duplicate gaiters, but although I sent receipts for the postage but have not been reimbursed for that.

It seems that the reviews are right, Freshair Junkie seem to think that everything is your problem not theirs.

Ordering from a more reputable company might have cost me a few £'s in the first instance, but would have saved me ££'s in the long run.

Avoid buying around Christmas! Item bought as gift didn't fit and they refused refund as outside 30 days. All other retailers I have dealt with make an exception for Xmas buys but not here! Lesson learnt, will not buy from them again...

Wish I had read the other reviews first. Usually independents provide better service than the big chains but definitely not this one. Seem like it's one guy's spare time hobby and he can't quite contain his bitterness over returns.

I bought an item which turned out not to be suitable for my needs. I wrote to them and explained why and asked for the return details. The email I got sounded like a stern warning, almost accusatory, and that I had better not have used the item before I return it.

If you read the returns page on the site, the guy had clearly had some bad returns but makes the chip on his shoulder very clear to any new customer requiring service. Detailing steep charges for any damage to packaging of the item so make sure you photograph everything before you post it back!

They had my item back and it took a week for the refund and I did not receive any notification for it. I sent an email after seeing the return had been delivered 5 days prior and received no response.

I've seen many others with similar or worse experience. You might be lucky if you never have any issues with your order but don't expect service with a smile. Steer clear of this box shipper.

Great company to deal with. The advice I received when looking at the pros and cons of each item was above and beyond. I have ended up with some great running accessories. I will definitely be using this website again.

Avoid like the plague if you think you might want a refund. They dodge and weave at every opportunity. Eventually got my money back. Even after they had received and signed for the item (in perfect condition) they insisted that I forward to them proof of delivery. Personally I will never shop with them again.

Bought an item which was not fit for purpose, but can I get hold of anyone at the store to sort it out? No chance. Sent several emails, from different accounts too and haven't heard a dicky bird. If I lived nearer they'd be getting a visit.

Purchased a Platypus bladder, but the band on the valve end of the hose failed spectacularly after a few uses (a couple of months after I bought it) by shearing off - no idea how it happened. Asked for it to be resolved as the product didn’t pass the durability test of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, but all the store kept saying was that it ‘wasn’t a warranty issue’. Eventually got a replacement part from the UK distributor, though unfortunately they also didn’t understand the same consumer legislation and accused me of breaking it (I didn’t, it was not of satisfactory quality for its intended use). By this time the store had stopped replying to me. All in all a bad experience from a store (and distributor) that apparently feels consumer legislation doesn’t apply to them.

Excellent customer service! Had a few questions about the sleeping bag once it had arrived and Simon was extremely quick to reply with very helpful responses - this was way after work hours at 22:30.

I bought the very last Trisar 2 2D tent that Freshair Junkie had in stock, for about half the price than everywhere else was charging. It was the weekend so I didn't expect shipping notice until Monday at the earliest (let's face it: a lot of companies are still doing weekend orders the following Tuesday) but I got the shipped notice & tracking code on SUNDAY! Seems they're in the warehouse working hard every single day. The tent landed so fast & is perfect. Delighted in every way by this company. Thank you Freshair Junkie! I'll be back. :)
