At 62 and newly retired
At 62 and newly retired, Iâve been figuring out what âmy styleâ looks like in this next chapter of life. Iâm dressing more casually now, but I still want to look put-together and feel good in what I wear.
Thatâs where Frump Fighters came in.
I decided to try their calendar on a whim â and wow, am I glad I did. The calendar is so easy to follow. It gently walked me through my closet and helped me make practical decisions instead of emotional ones. I was able to:
âïž Create a clear list of what I actually need
âïž Identify what was too dingy, too old, or simply never worn
âïž Let go of pieces that didnât fit my current lifestyle
Somewhere â maybe on the Frump Fighters blog â I read the question:
âKnowing what I know now, would I buy this piece again?â
I was shocked at how many times I said no.
Iâve tried the Marie Kondo âdoes it bring you joy?â strategy before. The problem? Every bargain I ever scored brought me joy â because I was so proud of my bargain-hunting skills!
But hereâs the truth I had to face:
A $100 blouse you bought for $10 is not a bargain if you never wore it.
That one question changed everything. It helped me see my closet through the lens of who I am now, not who I used to be or who I thought I should be.
The result? SIX boxes of clothes gone!
Now my closet looks better â and I feel better getting dressed every day. Itâs amazing how much lighter you feel when your space reflects your real life.
And I want to be very clear: I do not know the woman behind Frump Fighters. Iâve never met her. She doesnât know me. Iâm not being paid or asked to say any of this. Nor am I an influencer or marketing professional. Iâm simply a 62-year-old retired woman sharing what genuinely worked for me â woman to woman.
Iâm including a photo of my very first Frump Fighters outfit â and I can honestly say I feel comfortable, current, and like myself in this new season.
If youâre in a season of transition like I am â retirement, lifestyle changes, or simply simplifying â I hope youâll check it out.
