Jose is a great tour guide with lots of local knowledge and experience. The Galapagos islands are so beautiful and I had many unforgettable close encounters with the wildlife. I was on a group land-based tour with Jose and it ran very smoothly and he got along great with everyone in the group. He cares deeply about preserving the islands and supporting local people and always had lots of useful and interesting information to share with us. Thanks for a once in a lifetime experience!

Hands down, without question, my guide José made my trip to the Galápagos unforgettable. I have traveled all over the world and have had hundreds of different guides both good and bad. José is on a whole other level. His treasure trove of knowledge, attentiveness, infectious enthusiasm, and meticulously sharp eye for even the smallest of details made this experience for me. His organization skills and tailored ability to select the services that have both the best quality and value, enhanced the adventure on multiple levels. Beyond that, his kind and friendly demeanor made me not only feel welcome in the Galapagos, he made me feel like a member of his family. His willingness to bend over backwards to be certain that not only myself, but every person on the tour was having their needs met and enjoying themselves was incredible! There were a few moments a few of the other people on the trip were being difficult and giving him a hard time. He was unfazed by this, and handled the situation with grace and a level of patience that was astounding. I am a professional photographer. Not only did he do everything he possibly could to ensure that I got my shots, at one point a crucial piece of my equipment broke. While still handling the needs and concerns of the group as a whole, in the background he was calling people he knew to see if they had what I needed to fix it. He successfully found what I needed, and without it my trip would have suffered greatly. I honestly cannot say enough nice things about José. He is one of the most genuine people I have ever met, and his extremely advanced level as a guide showed through in absolutely every aspect of the tour.

I am so happy I chose Pacha Travel for my trip to the Galapagos! I could have never created such a fun and fulfilling experience on my own. The tour was so well organized. I didn't have to spend one second stressing about logistics or worrying that I wasn't making enough use of my limited time in the Galapagos. The people at Pacha Travel booked beautiful, clean hotels to stay at, organized seamless transportation between and on islands, scheduled all the essential Galapagos activities, were always happy to answer questions, and, most importantly, they knew the best restaurants to recommend! Thankfully, the tour offers free time, so everyone has chances to choose their own adventures. I was worried I could be a little lost without scheduled activities, but the people at Pacha were amazing and extremely personable. They helped me figure out what to do by giving me multiple options and talking me through what to expect and where to go. I had so much fun, and I really can't recommend them enough!

This trip was a dream come true! José was a star, he took all the hard work out of it! He's extremely knowledgeable about the place and everything was organised perfectly, it didn't feel rushed but we managed to see and do so much in the 8 days we had on the islands. There is a lot of travelling between islands which would have been a pain to navigate on my own, but instead it felt like a holiday within my travels! Such a magical experience, easily the highlight of my trip through South and Central America, and I wish I could return! Thank you 😊

Probably the best trip I have ever done! Jose was the most incredible guide, so much local knowledge and such passion the islands and the wildlife. We absolutely loved every second of it! People tell you that the Galapagos is crazy expensive, but when we got there Jose was able to find 3 course lunch menus for $6-8. The choice of dinner restaurants was also fantastic! We did have some difficult people on the tour and Jose handled them with great patience - more than I would have! Thank you so much again, the Galapagos Islands are a place me and my sister will never forget!

Jose was an awesome guide! He had answers for all of my questions about the Galápagos Islands, its people, culture and of course the amazing wildlife. He was always helpful and made sure we had a great time! I would always book with him again!
