The game academy bootcamp really increased my confidence and helped me to understand what I want to be doing in terms of my career. The support you get from the staff is second to none and you get the sense that they really care about supporting the participants and making a difference. The whole experience also provided an amazing networking opportunity which genuinely opened doors for me.

Where do I start, the founder himself is super friendly and always happy to have a chat if you have any issues or concerns, the community on discord is a nice place to be with like-minded people that're happy to answer any questions or even just chat. But to the main part of this review, the course I did was 6 weeks long, with some great talks with people that have worked in the gaming industry for various years and in various capacities, going through the motions of the game development cycle, from the start to the very end of that cycle, lots to learn and even some interesting things that you wouldn't even think of as jobs or things that happen that may interest you, with weekly skill builders with a concept artist, Unreal Engine specialist, QA and even if you're skilled enough somewhere in game development and confident enough to teach people they'd be happy for you to do that as well. The staff are great and always friendly, helpful and always coming up with new things to do even after the course had finished, so it's worth sticking around for more oppertunities in the future
