PS4 HDMI Repair

The HDMI port on my PS4 was broken, and I tried to repair it myself, but completely messed it up. I broke all the contact points on the motherboard and even burnt part of it.
Thankfully though, GAMER-TECH were able to repair it all, and solder a new HDMI port on. And they did fantastic job of it! It works perfectly well now. Top quality repairs and services. I would definitely recommend GAMER-TECH!

MSI Laptop Screen Flickering

I recently sent my MSI laptop to get checked as my screen kept flickering which started to become really annoying. I looked everywhere online as I wanted to be able to trust someone with my laptop and luckily found Gamer-Tech.

My initial thought was that I needed to replace the whole screen, however out of everyone that I tried to get a quote from, Gamer-Tech were the only one to suggest my issue might be caused by something else instead. I was immediately given the impression that they knew what they were talking about and seemed trustworthy enough.

As soon as the inspection started, I was regularly updated on the progress and was told what worked and what didn't. My repair only took a while due to a part that was out of stock, however, if it wasn't for that then it would have been finished a lot quicker.

I just recently got it back and my screen no longer flickers and almost feels brand new!

I cannot express how satisfied I was with the service I was given. Everyone was helpful and fast to respond if I had a question.

If anyone is unsure about Gamer-Tech, I can assure you that they know what they are doing and are definitely trustworthy.

Can not praise these guys enough

Can not praise these guys enough. Fixed a water damaged xbox one and a nintendo switch lite for me excellent service and a thoroughly professional job done on both devices. Hope i don't have to use your services again, but if another unfortunate event means i need to, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to come to you. Very happy customer.

Fixed Switch Charging Port

Recently sent off my Switch to repair the charging port, the kids had been a bit impatient when trying to get it in the charging dock. Fabulous service - arranged collection, fixed perfectly, kept me in the loop the whole time and sent photos of fixed item. Very reasonable price aswell.

You have made my Easter

My iPod Nano 7th Gen had the screen unfortunately smashed through dropping it and I have been trying to get it repaired for about a year and due to Apple not producing the iPod no more I thought 'que sera that's it' Then I came across GamerTech on line and they said it could be repaired.
The service I received was excellent and I was sent emails with regard to the progress of the repair and when I would have it returned to me by their courier service.
I received my iPod back today and it was just like I had gone out and purchased a new one. It has never sounded better! Thanks GamerTech you're brilliant!

Fabulous service!

Fabulous service!!

My son's xBox would only play in low resolution.
I contacted my local computer repair shop and was told that the problem would be the video card, it wasn't worth repairing, buy a new console.
A Google search put me in touch with Gamer Tech.
The website was very informative, and reassuring.
I couldn't see an option for video card, so I called and spoke to a very helpful lady. She told me that it was probably the chip behind the HDMI port.

I went online and booked that repair. The basic repair was a very reasonable cost. I decided to pay extra for a "same day" service, and the DPD two-way delivery was very reasonable.

I had the console at the DPD shop within 2 hours. I think I must have just missed the collection on the Monday, so it didn't get on it's way to Gamer Tech until Tuesday.

I was regularly updated by Gamer Tech with the progress. The fault was as they expected, the repair was completed, and the xBox was delivered back to me on Thursday morning.

I was blown away by this service. It was fast, efficient and I was kept updated at all times.
It is refreshing these days for a company to do what I expect of them. It is nearly unheard of for them to exceed my expectations by a mile.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gamer Tech.

Sorted Switch Fan & Joycons not charging

Switch going to sleep due to overheating Son playing Fortnite) which is a common issue. After another repairer could not locate the fault, sent console to GameTech. Issue resolved quickly, great comms and console sent back next day = happy child...I'm confident that if we experience any more issues, it will be resolved efficiently. Good stuff.

Really great service

Really great service. They did everything from collecting and delivering back my device, to fixing it. Great communication that kept me up to date on every step. Would highly recommend, and they'll be my first port of call if I ever need a device repairing again.

Fantastic customer service and repair work

I Had a very old Nintendo Wii that would no longer read discs, sent it away to Gamer Tech and within a couple of weeks it was sent back in perfect condition with the problem solved. The service was fast and the website is easy to use, they send you many notifications to keep you informed with the progress of the repairs and I was very pleased with the customer service and the speed of the return to me with the console neatly wrapped up. Very pleased and would recommend I will continue to use their services in future.

A terrible experience. Shoddy repairwork that failed just outside the warranty period.

A terrible experience.
Last year I had a PS4 Pro serviced to correct a loud fan and a unrecognised disc error.

It arrived back quickly and all seemed to be working fine for a few months. Then it got loud again and the disc drive stopped working, just outside of the warranty repair period.

Now with the same issues I took the PS4 Pro apart myself (nothing to lose now) and I discovered that the thermal paste had been terribly applied all around the CPU but not actually on it.

Then I purchased a replacement laser and when I took apart the disc drive I discovered that the magnet that holds the disc in place had been put in upside down.

Shoddy workmanship on both repairs which both failed a few months outside of the repair warranty. I will not be using GamerTech again and neither should you.

We welcome all feedback from customers, as it is important to our business to continue to develop and improve our services.

We do however strongly disagree with your review and the statements you have made are factually incorrect. Therefore we wish to respond to address your statements.

Your original order was dispatched from our repair centre on the 27th April 2020, your device was repaired by us 10 months ago. Our repair warranty is for 3 months and your device was no longer covered under our warranty, this was not "just outside" the warranty as you claim.

Had you reported any issues to us within our warranty period we would have happily resolved any problems for you.

The loud fan repair is to prevent overheating issues, we replace the thermal paste and thoroughly clean the console. If this failed after a few months, as we explained to you, this can be totally dependent on the environment in which it was kept in. If the console is not kept in an open space it can run extremely hot particularly with long durations of game play.

You opened your console after 10 months, to allegedly find the thermal paste has been "terribly" applied. We did put thermal paste on the chip but after such a long period of time and the heat stress you have caused to your device it is likely to have dried out the thermal paste we applied in some areas.

The paste is applied to the CPU die, then the heat sync sits on top of the die which can squeeze any excess paste to the edges of the chip, just as you have described.

The application of which is purely based on your opinion and upon reviewing your complaint we have taken pictures of the thermal paste applied by the manufacturers, both by Sony and Microsoft on a PS4 and Xbox One to show you this is sufficiently similar. We would be happy to send you these if required.

To address your comments surrounding the magnet in the disk drive, this part isn't removed during a laser repair. Had it have been removed and placed upside down as you claim, your device would not have read disks from the beginning and not worked perfectly fine for a few months.

Whilst we can appreciate your frustrations that your device required maintenance again, we do not believe it is fair to put blame on us as a business almost a year after we have carried out the repairs.

Great X-box repair

When my X-box developed a fault, I found this company from a Google search. So glad I did as I received an exceptional service from them. Continually updated by email on what was happening from collection to repair to delivery back to me. Extremely professional, personable staff and they fixed the fault in less than a week. Really good value for money as well. Use them, they do what it says in the tin!

I cannot rate these guys highly enough, constant contact, updates and amazing SLAs. I paid for the next day delivery and they got DPD to pick up my PS4 on a Sunday and I got it back on a Tuesday. I'd recommend to anyone who will listen
