Couldn't get my key, but got a refund.

I have pre-ordered the Last of Us and I have yet to receive my key.

My order is #265390 and nobody from the helpdesk is answering to my emails. It's now been 3 days and I got nothing. On the website my order is still at "License Requested" and doesn't change.

I would like to receive it or buy it elsewhere if I could get a refund.

I ordered before from this seller and never had any problem, if only the helpdesk were more responsive...

Update: after posting this review the staff answered and explained that it was an issue with the publisher. The refund process started immediately and in one day I have received my refund, which is admirable, although I would've preferred getting the key.

All in all, the staff could have been a bit quicker in answering and I shouldn't have had to write a review here as a last resort.

No vuelvo a comprar aqui

compré una key de antes del lanzamiento el dia 22 de marzo y esta salía el 28, cuando yo la compra ponia que la entregaban el 28 a las 2 am...el dia 28 no me la entregaron y les envié un correo y me contestaron pidiendo paciencia y me dijeron que el mismo día a las 3 pm mas o menos la tendría, les volví a escribir a las 6 pm porque seguía sin tener la key, diciéndoles que ya no la quería y que me devolvieran el dinero, ya no me han contestado a ningún email y no me han devuelto el dinero

No deliver of a pre order last of us on steam

I pre ordered the game last of us on steam.

The delivery should have been done the march 28h at 3:00 pm UTC

Nothing until the next day (15 hours later) so I bought the game somewhere else to have it the day it was out

I ask for a refund threw 5 mails
.. still no answer

No chat possible, their mail system in not very operational,

I hope I ll get my refund

Payment methods lacking.

They claim you can pay with credit card, but I wasn't offered that option at all. Just Sofort, CBC, and something else. Also no paypal which I would've preferred. At least the delivery was quick

Got my code this morning, fine... there was a delay but who cares, it's a game. Anyone calling this site a scam is a moron, they gave you the game at a decent price, therefore it was not a scam.

Was playing RE4 so I wasn't stressing about getting my code on the second it released.

Bought TLoU key last night, still haven't recieved.

Edit: Just received my code 6 hours later than they quoted me and 18 hours after launch. Granted I at least got the key, but still not that happy with the service. Not planning on pre-ordering again.

Bought TLoU key last night, was excited to play the game today. Still do not have the key. At this point, it is already 2 hours past the time they told me I would receive the key, and it's been 11 hours since the release on Steam. Very disappointed. Used to buy keys from here all the time, always received the keys within seconds. Have not even received an email with explanation. Not to mention, all the games on your website are set as "Out of Stock," very sketchy.

I pre-ordered Last of Us on March 24th. The game has been released for hours, but the key has not been delivered. Zero communication from support.

The Last of Us Preorder

EDIT: I got my key a little over 24 hours from the initial time I was supposed to. It was a good price so I can’t complain there. I just hope in the future games for play is a little more forthcoming with information regarding key deliveries.

I preordered TLOU and my preorder email said I would receive the key on March 28th 0:00 UTC. It is now 19 hours past that and still no code or response from support.

Prepurchased the last of us a week ago. Releseased 3 hours ago and this guys are not sending the keys while other keyshops sended hours ago. 0 professionalism here. i will never try to buy here to save 2€, not worth it.

TLOU Preorder

I haven't received the key of TLOU, which is obviously bad, but even worse is no communication from GamesForPlay. I understand sometimes there are some issues with distribution, etc. sending just one email to customers explaining the situation is the minimum GamesForPlay can't do.

Still no The Last of Us key

Pre-ordered The Last of Us for PC on this website. Was not able to pre-load since the key was supposed to come today at launch, not amazing but okay. Launch time comes... No key. 4 hours after launch and still no key in sight... No information about it nothing.

EDIT: Ended up getting my key 6am UK time, so 14 hours later than launch

BAD: Pre-order TLOU Part 1 for PC

While pre-ordering TLOU Part 1 for PC, there was no indication that the game code would only be sent out when it actually launched on Steam.
I only became aware of that via a post-purchase email. A bit fishy, I wouldn't be able to pre-load it before the release, but no problem, I could wait some 20-30min for the game to download after its launch.
It is now almost 4h past the launch time GamesForPlay provided me (March 28th, 2023 at 3:00 PM UTC), and still no sign of the code.
The game listing on their website no longer mentions the time, only saying March 28th, and is "Out of Stock".
This experience is definitely not worth the 30% discounted price over Steam.
Support was pretty responsive, until I asked for a cancellation of my order so I could buy the game on Steam instead and actually start downloading and playing it.
I'm looking forward to get this cancellation done and deleting my account with them.

The Last of Us Pre-order

I have never had any issues with ordering from Gamesforplay in the past, and I'm confident that I will receive my order at some point. That said, I would not recommend pre-ordering games with them unless you don't mind waiting longer for your order than with other sellers. As of writing it's been 3,5 hours since the game was released, and still no key in sight, nor any communication as to when to expect the order to be delivered.

Edit: Received my key 15 hours after the game released. Happy to have received the game, but again, would not recommend pre-ordering here.

Wheres My Preorder Code?!!! (Update)

I am trying to be incredibly patient, but the Last of Us part 1 has already released, and i have yet to get my code from when i preordered it. This is my first time using this storefront...and tbh, it might be my last after this experience.

Update: I have updated this to 2 stars, the reason for this is solely because it seems this was a developer problem. If true, then at the very least it would have been beneficial for Gamesforplay to let ppl know this ASAP. If there is a delay due to a situation like this, dont wait 72 hours to inform of this, inform me immediately!!

Edit: Finally got my key, but never preordering again on this site. You preorder so you can play on the day of the release and because of poor service I couldn't and as a streamer I also couldn't show my viewers how it looks and works on PC.
