We were looking for a law firm to help us navigate an inheritance process in Spain, followed by the sale of the assets from the inheritance. We are on the other side of the world and could not travel to Spain for this process. Initially the entire process seemed unsurmountable from so far away.
We interviewed various law firms and were sold on GB Abogados because while other firms needed 10 days or more to get us some initial basic government information, Dulce Illescas got the information to us in 24 hours. We had no documentation regarding the real estate assets, access to bank accounts, there was no will, and expenses from the properties were seriously in arrears.
Other law firms made us feel that our circumstances made this process very difficult, while Dulce assured us they could help us obtain anything needed to move forward with the process. Just as she claimed, she helped secure all the needed paperwork, processed the Instate Inheritance successfully, filed the inheritance tax return, and helped us pay the inheritance tax due.
After the inheritance was settled, we started dealing with Lisa Wantz for the sale of the properties. Lisa is absolutely amazing and a top-notch professional. First, she helped us find a trustworthy realtor in Benidorm, with whom we are also extremely happy. Second, everything that has come up during this process she handles immediately and always communicates in a timely manner, both in perfect Spanish and/or English (since in our group some do not speak Spanish, so we go back and forth).
Personally, we feel blessed and we are so thankful for this incredible team of top-notch professional lawyers who helped us successfully navigate a complex inheritance/sales process.

I organised a POA for Spain covering sale of a property and some banking responsibilities for me and my wife. The process was very simple, executed very well, couldnt be happier

Non responsive.. don’t waste your time

So, we were 'stuck' in the UK unable to travel to Spain... but needed our Spanish Wills sorting. We did an on line search and using GB Abogados seemed an option. The price was favourable [compared to other such companies] so we went ahead. So, we outlined to Matt Rogerson our needs and he promply emailed us the draft in both English and Spanish. So after approval he came up with a Notary near us [Derby] and we went to do the signing. This part cost us £350.00 inc VAT. We then sent the Will to the Foreign office at MK to be officially stamped. I think it was around £70.00 which included courier to GB Abogados in Spain. This was received by Matt who forwarded it to the relevant department in Madrid for registration. Finally Matt posted the completed document back to us in UK. The whole operation took about 6 weeks in total. Total cost around £650.
I must admit it all seemed a bit complicated at first...but in hindsight it wasnt. Matt was always prompt to reply to any of our queries too.Recommended.

I can assure you the positive ratings are fake they must have paid to write those.
Terrible company to deal with, they never do their due diligence therefore be ready do deal with that after sale as been completed which is gonna be a problem for you as new owner.
God forbid you ever need their assistance and contact them expect not to get response after finding out they messed up.
I wrote them for an after sale support something they could have done before completing sale but they didn’t reply me I had to contact the real estate agency which then contacted them.
I will never recommend them! The only person from their office that speaks English Dulce will never reply your email.

PS:
What part exactly is inaccurate? Did Dulce from your office get back to me even after sending numerous follow up emails?
Did anyone from your office get back to me to pass the information you provided on here? (No response up till date).
I only got reply to my review now which shows the level of incompetence and not taking responsibility for the poor service.
I had to email the real estate agency to help contact your office on my behalf, fortunately for me she got a reply. I was your client but you refused to respond to my emails, you prefer to relay messages to me via the real estate agent.
I still think you provide a terrible service and you don’t even deserve the one star rating. I wouldn’t recommend you.

Having been very badly let down by our Spanish lawyers in respect of an estate and property sale in Spain we turned to Gascon Bernebeu in their English office and they immediately transferred us to their Spanish Office who were able to deal with everything efficiently and transparently. Very well recommended company for your Spanish needs , I had been dealing with uk probate for 6mths and needed affidavit of Spanish law !!
