What they do is clean the knives and sell them to you as good. They rust and blame you for using dishwasher and not taking proper care (misuse). Even if you dont own a dishwasher at your property.
They refuse to refund.
They claim to be the best well known company. (Shit company)
They give you alternative to buy a rubber to clean of rust. UNACCEPTABLE.
This is how they make money. Dont believe if its expensive its high quality. NO-NO

Cheaper knives are 100 times better. NEVER BUY GLOBAL KNIVES. Even cheper alternatives from different third parties. "As the main suppliers is Global " They all on one hand! SCAMMING PEOPLE.

I recently purchased a global ukon 20cm…
I recently purchased a global ukon 20cm cooks knife. The knife isn’t sharp at all. I’m not a skilled at knife sharpening! But I’m an experienced cook at home.” And have been using many different brands of knives for 44 years. Including sabatier, wusthof, and some very sharp Japanese high carbon knives. I thought this global ukon could be a good everyday knife! Well its sharpness is poor ! And I feel I needed to sharpen it from opening the box.
I couldn’t be bothered to return it ! As I only paid £100 in the sale ! From Harts of sur . Now I know why it was reduced from £175. It’s not recommended by me

I bought a Global G2 more than 2 years ago. I cook everything I eat so pretty much every day. I have not sharpened my knife since I bought it, only honed it frequently. And it can still cut paper!
It's a really good quality knife with a really cool looking design and for a very affordable price!

I'm disappointed at having to give this company such a poor review as I used to think their knives were good. How wrong!
After less than 50 uses a £60 paring knife broke as I was chopping an apple. The knife broke between the blade and the handle, so it was clearly a defect rather than me using it as a screwdriver or lever or whatever.
Contacted Global and they required the knife to be sent back for inspection (fair enough) but then wanted £20 to replace the defective knife. I duly sent the knife back, signed for and according to royal mail delivered. Global claimed they had not received the knife and now will not give me a replacement knife.
Global. You have lost a lifetime customer. I've since found the Procook brand, tested a couple of their high end knives, been satisfied with their guarantee, and will never buy Global again.
Lifetime warranty never honoured
Over many years various of my Global knives have broken, rusted and been generally unsatisfactory. Global will never take responsibility for any faults, making their warranty completely worthless. Don't buy them. I've given up complaining to them.

My girlfriend recently purchased an item from this website. To which she then returned. This was nearly 2 weeks ago. This company replied to her first couple of emails. But as soon as they were shown evidence of her having sent the item back with a picture of delivery confirmation by Royal Mail signed for, they now are just straight up ignoring her emails and have not yet issued a refund. This is beyond disgraceful for a company such as Global knives. If this matter continues to go unresolved I will report them to trading standards. My best advice to anyone wanting to purchase anything is to make sure your item is exactly what you want/need because they are obviously not trustworthy at refunding people the money they owe them. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEISGRACEFUL, UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY.

I wish I did check the reviews before buying a set of Global knives. The knives do not sit straight in the l-shaped block. Called the company 3 times but not getting anywhere. Over 500.00 down the drain. Back to Wusthof next time.
Worst mistake buying a knife from this shower!
Worst mistake ever buying from this company, they may have sharp knives like a lot of companies. But their customer service is extremely blunt, rude, and unhelpful.
Never delivered the knife i ordered, refusing to give me a timeframe of when I will get a refund.
When coming here to write this review I expected to be the one negative review, amongst a lot of praise.
Congrats to any of you that have been smart enough to check the reviews, before parting with your hard end cash.
Don't buy a Global knife if there's even the slightest possibility you might drop it.
My wife spent a ridiculously large amount on a set of Global knives for my birthday last year.
Yesterday I dropped one of them in the kitchen and it literally snapped clean off by the handle!!
It's clearly a problem with the steel being ridiculously brittle and others must have experienced this manufacturing flaw as their website is littered with opt out clauses regarding Global knife guarantee not covering being dropped. You know something is amiss when they specify such a bizarre opt out on the FAQ section.
Apparently you also void the guarantee if you put them in a dishwasher lol!

I bought a couple of awesome knives in Spain , a chef knife and a vegetable knife many years ago and despite having been dropped several times over the years and being put in the dishwasher thousands of times they are still in brilliant condition and hold a razor sharp edge when out on my whetstone.
It comes to something when a couple of thirty quid nylon handled kitchen knives from Spain put ridiculously expensive Japanese knives to shame.
Save your money guys. Global knives are okay if you're never going to accidentally drop them or put them in the dishwasher.

Global knives are part of Knives from Japan and when you buy something from the Global knives site you are invoiced by Knives from Japan.
The knife I bought last night from Global/knives from Japan cost £100 more on the Global site than it does on Knives from Japan- the same company.
When I asked about the error - double the cost of the knife they told me its because I ordered on the Global knives website who charge at full rrp!
This is truly a rip off!

Most offensive customer service I've ever received
Horrific customer service! I bought a global specific chopping board to go with my global knives because it was "scratch resistant". It came with marks on it and then scratches at the lightest touch. Contacted Global who told me it wasn't covered under their guarantee as I "may" have used too much force.... I know how to chop an onion and specifically used the lightest touch to test out how sharp the knife was. Absolutely disgraceful and frankly downright offensive customer service.
Abysmal customer service
Abysmal customer service. G-2 knife snapped in half, returned, had reply to say they had received it but since November nothing. No one replies to my emails. Knives aren’t much better. Avoid, buy Victorinox knives.

Echoing the poor reviews below - great product - shockingly poor customer service. Ordered as a gift and paid the £7 next day delivery, have not received my order still. Nothing but lies from customer service. Very disappointed.
Do not expect a quick delivery, if at all
I ordered a knife as a Christmas present and it was despatched the following day. Unfortunately they use UPS who promptly lost the parcel. As other people have said, customer service is non-existent. Use the high street and walk out of a shop with your purchase in your hand. It is the only certain way of getting what you want.
Terrible customer service
I bought a knife set on Friday morning 3 weeks ago and chose next day delivery and paid the £7.
No email came through to say that the knives had been dispatched. I sent Global an email asking if the knives were not to be delivered over the weekend then to please change my postage to the £0 2 day delivery.
There was no response from Global until the Monday morning when I received a shipping notification - my knives will arrive on Wednesday.
I emailed Global once again asking why my first message was ignored, my request to change postage was ignored and why the 'next day delivery' which I was still paying for was somehow 2 days for delivery.
The response I received was "On our website we don't offer a weekend service. Sorry for any misunderstanding"
No acknowledgement of the delay in shipping nor any mention of my £7 refund (it's about the principle at this point!). There is no mention on the website that there is no weekend shipping, therefore it seemed safe to assume that this is something that is offered, as most big companies offer this as standard.
I replied to Global 11 days ago now and I am yet to receive any response.
*To add to the confusion I booked the day off on Wednesday to be in to receive the parcel and was sent an email from the courier on Tuesday evening to say that the knives would be delivered on Thursday! Fortunately they came on the Wednesday, so no idea what is going on with the communication between Global and their couriers either!
Shocking customer service
Had a couple of global knives and noticed one had started to rust on the blade and had small chips in it. Filled in the online form for them to assess it and sent it to them. 3 months later and they said they hadn’t received it so I sent the tracking number to show they had signed for it. They apologised and said they would send a new knife. That was 3 weeks ago and it hasn’t arrived. Shocking customer service and I will never buy another Global knife or recommend them again.

Avoid this outfit. They damage the reputation of Global.
I ordered a set with the intention of giving it as a present. I paid for 48 hour delivery.
A week later, nothing. No response to emails, nothing.
It transpires that they have charged postage when delivery was free over £50.
After threatening them, the best I got was delivery after this person's birthday - no explanation or apology and no response to my proposal as to how the problem could be solved.
Are they crooks or just pathetically poor? They were quick enough to grab my money ...
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Ordered an item on Thu late afternoon and I choose the next day delivery (I my mind it would be delivered on Saturday based on the info on the website). I received a message it will be delivred on Mon, and contacted them, the only answer I got is: We delivered only next busines day and not next day. No sorry, nothing even the information on the website does create confusion. I will not recommand this company
Poor Customer Service

I thought I’d get a good service from Global knives as they are a highly regarded brand. I made initial contact on 30Apr and was advised to fill out their online form. This was done and nearly a month later I’ve received no correspondence from them other than ‘it’s with our customer care team.’ These knives are brilliant and I wouldn’t buy any other, however, if you have any problems it turns out that their customer service is poor!
