I cannot recommend Global Teacher enough! Such a fantastic way to mix travel, cultural experiences, meeting new likeminded people as well as professional learning. Komodo was absolutely amazing - from the two day boat trip including snorkeling and hiking to the teacher placement in local schools where both the teachers and students were so excited to host us. Effective organisation and communication from Mike and his team made it a stress free experience.

Global Teacher Komodo was a deeply humbling and rewarding experience.
I was lucky enough to share this with a fantastic group of passionate, fun and generous teachers who are committed to personal development and making a genuine difference. Many friendships and bonds were made, making this trip very special.
Schools were so welcoming and supportive. Working with local English teachers in Labuan Bajo was a privilege and incredibly fulfilling, as was interacting with the keen, appreciative students and I loved learning about cultural sensitivities and traditions.
Presenting professional workshops was again a wonderful opportunity to connect with local teachers and share our practices. "Mindfulness and Wellbeing" was well received, which was heartening.
The cultural excursions were outstanding, from visiting Komodo National Park to spending the night on a traditional boat sailing around the islands, enjoying snorkelling, trekking Padar Island, visiting Pink Beach and soaking in the stunning scenery.
Thanks to Mike, Nathan and Nefi for their sterling efforts to support us throughout.
I can't recommend this program highly enough for any educator who loves travelling and connecting with culture.

I had an amazing first-time experience with Global Teachers in Komodo. Everything within our control was well organised by Mike from start to finish. I met so many wonderful people and enjoyed delicious food. The mix of professional learning and cultural experiences was truly inspiring. I am deeply grateful for this unforgettable journey. Had the most amazing experience on the Global Teachers Philippines Trip 2025. Exceeded all of my expectations, and it was such a well-run and organised trip. It seemed too good to be true when I first applied, but I am already looking at what my next Global Teacher Trip may be - the best PD ever and memories to last a lifetime!

What an incredible experience and opportunity of a lifetime! Being able to mix my passion for teaching with a holiday, surrounded by like-minded, inspiring people, was truly unforgettable. From the fun activities and endless laughter to once-in-a-lifetime moments like swimming with whale sharks….every day was an adventure.

Travelling to Vanuatu in 2025 with Global Teacher was an incredibly rewarding and enriching experience. Being in the classrooms and connecting with local teachers and students was a true highlight—I felt supported, inspired, and valued throughout the entire journey.

The group I travelled with was fantastic. We quickly developed strong friendships and a genuine team spirit that made the experience even more enjoyable. Our team leaders were exceptional—highly supportive, flexible, and committed to ensuring the program ran smoothly, even when plans needed to adapt.

The organised activities and excursions added a wonderful balance of cultural immersion, sight-seeing and relaxation, giving us a deeper appreciation of Vanuatu and its people.

I highly recommend this program to teachers at any stage of their career. Whether you're early in your teaching journey or well established, the insights, experiences, and connections you’ll gain are absolutely invaluable.

Thank you Global Teacher for a truly amazing experience on my recent trip to attend the Bali Green Program. I can't rate this program highly enough.

Communication, organisation and experiences were exemplary. Professional and personal development were nurtured in a safe, supportive environment, and, to date, rate as one of my favourite, practical courses in a career over 27 years.

A highlight was a day visit to Bali Green School, which was an eye opener and inspiring. Active, progressive, hands on learning, "thoughtful risk taking", the sense of tight, committed community was evident. An incredible environment, nurturing and deeply sustainable culture.

A visit to a local primary school, Songan, filled us all with joy as the beautiful student and welcoming teachers clearly appreciated our visit.

Our Wellbeing day touched each of us deeply. Through yoga, mindfulness and meditation and breathwork, we learnt tips to avoid and overcome burnout and to find a healthier work/life balance-which was profound.

Another particular favourite excursion was a half day at the Spa, which soothed the soul and quietened the mind. Absolute BLISS!

Some of eager team members loved the sunrise trek up Mount Batur too.
Being supported by such a wonderful bunch of like minded teachers was so empowering, lots of laughs and tears and firm friendships made.

Our accommodation was superb, meals were fabulous and our drivers were fantastic.

I can't wait for my next adventure with Global Teacher.

I attended the 2025 Bali Green Program, and absolutely loved my experience across the week. It was a perfect balance of sightseeing, adventure, engagement in education / professional learning, wellness and relaxation. The group was amazing, we all made special connections, adding to the overall experience. The professional development day at the Bali Green School was incredible, from the tour, to learning about curriculum and a chanang cultural workshop, it was an inspiring highlight. In the wellness day, we integrated slow flow yoga, with really practical hands on wellbeing workshops and it was really grounding for me. The sunrise hike to Mt Batur was outstanding, and the final day, our spa treatment was just serene. I highly recommend this program to any teacher, it's been so inspiring and I have learnt a lot through it, with practical applications that I am embracing in my life after the experience.

I recently attended the Global Teacher Philippines Program. Engaging with local schools and teachers was such a rewarding experience. Traveling with fellow teachers who share a passion for learning fostered a wonderfully supportive and enriching environment.

It was a truly a unique cultural adventure and was a chance to make a positive impact with multiple opportunities for personal growth.

The Professional Development sessions at the end of the school week to local teachers was so much fun. It was great way to share diverse perspectives and teaching methods and to exchange a range of educational practices and ideas.

All transport was provided with daily breakfast and most dinners included. After school activities were also provided which ranged from historical tours and swimming with whale sharks!

Thank you Global Teacher for getting me out of my teacher comfort zone! My bucket is very full!

I just got back from the Philippines and already can’t wait to go back. The teachers and students at Ozphil College were so welcoming and a pleasure to work with. The whale shark excursion was a highlight of the trip.

This was hands down the greatest experience of my life!. I was looking for something different to just a regular holiday and this delivered the goods. This had the right balance of work and play. I left feeling inspired with a reignited passion for teaching!

Absolutely loved every moment of my Global Teacher experience! From start to finish, absolutely every aspect of the trip was planned to perfection, balancing self-care, wellbeing and relaxation with the best parts of teacher PL. It's about time teachers got the luxury school excursion treatment our students often get. Made a lovely bunch of new friends and had one of the best experiences of my life. I'm getting a group of teacher friends together for our next Global Teacher adventure.

My experience in Vanuatu has been deeply profound, reflective, eye opening and life changing ! It has been one of the BEST experiences of my life and helped me find out my "WHY !" - Why I teach ? The people of Vanuatu - exemplify hospitality. There were big personal wins for me as I was surrounded by a group of supportive, encouraging team members !

My time spent in Vanuatu was a moment I will cherish forever. I found my passion for teaching again and learnt new things not only about myself but about my teaching. The teachers I met have become friends and we will always have the memories we made together for life. Vanuatu was the most amazing places to not only travel to but to teach at as everyone I met made me feel welcome and appreciative. The kids made me feel like a rockstar.

I’ve always wanted to teach and travel in Asia, but never knew how to go about it. So grateful I found Global Teacher as I had everything organised for me from airport transfers, accommodation, school visits, daily drop offs and pick ups, excursions around the island and most meals! Loved every minute of it! The opportunity to present PD to local teachers in Indonesia was also a very rewarding experience that wouldn’t have been possible without Global Teacher!

Global Teacher Vanuatu was a wonderful way to mix professional development with travel. It allowed me to spend quality time in a school; building relationships with teachers and students, and reflecting on my own practice, whilst learning about the Ni Van culture and having a holiday. It was so much more than I had hoped. I look forward to joining another Global Teacher program in the future.

In July 2023 I was a part of the first group of Global Teachers to travel to Vanuatu for the program. I had wanted to volunteer in a school for some time and I'm delighted that I took the plunge and did it. I felt supported right from the beginning with pre departure zoom meetings to meet the other Australian based teachers and find out more about the program. Our facilitator worked tirelessly to ensure we were supported and arrived at our schools on time. Working with local teachers and students was definitely the highlight. It brought back to me my 'why' for becoming a teacher. I enjoyed having the opportunity to present at the workshop day to give professional development to the teachers. I was fortunate to have some time to explore Vanuatu and would definitely recommend getting involved in the program and holidaying there.

I loved my time teaching in Vanuatu with Global Teacher. The program gave me the opportunity to teach and travel and learn a lot about my self- both personally and professionally. The Global Teachers that travelled to Vanuatu with me are an inspiration and so passionate. We had a lot of fun too- it was a great mix of work and holiday. The students and co-teachers were also amazing- I can see why Vanuatu has kept its ranking as one of the happiest places on Earth. My only wish would be to have more time- 10 days is just not enough!

The recent Global Teacher Program in Vanuatu was incredible. The Program was designed well and allowed for amazing opportunities to engage with local schools, teachers, and culture. It was easy to access what we needed to in Port Vila and we very well supported by Jo Little, our Global Teacher facilitator; she was incredible in ensuring that from our arrival, we were safe and informed about our day-to-day activities! I would highly recommend this opportunity to any teacher considering it: I can't wait to engage in future Programs myself!
