We a startup company that were looking for informed agents to manage vat and customs advisory and found services slow in communications they cost us late filing fees without notifying us were not transparent, consultants seemed uninformed, reaching anyone to discuss items is slow. They have very little knowledge it appears overall for a business they could cause you unexpected costs in the long run would not recommend them frustrating experience overall.

I hope this review can help others to make better choices than I have and I also hope it will help GVC to improve themselves.
I worked with GVC for 3 years. In the beginning everything was great, I had an account manager, they replied to queries they did things on time. Then suddenly without information no more account manager and I had to do the first annual VAT declaration for Germany. We filed it on the very last day, it was 1,5 years after the actual year. Their monthly calculations weren't correct but at the time I thought its maybe normal to have a discrepancy at the year end.
The monthly submissions were mostly fine, sometimes nobody would get back to me and I would get nervous but in the end we always filed the monthly declarations on time, sometimes the day of, but it was ok.
Then I had the next year end. I urged them not to file it too late, because again it was approaching the deadline of 1,5 years after the year ended. Then they sent me their calculations and they calculated it by adding each of their monthly returns. This is not logical because there is a year end to double check the monthly declarations - in an ideal world, they match 100%. So I asked them to calculate the annual, instead of simply adding the monthly declarations. I did the same myself and I came across a huge difference. I significantly underpaid VAT each month!
I did the same calculation for the year after and the same difference.
So they are bookkeepers and for some reason they made two major mistakes:
1. Not correctly cross checking the year end (you cannot submit the year end by adding up the monthly submissions)
2. Not correctly calculating the monthly declarations (my assumption is because of refunds of orders, which need to be calculated manually).
So in summary, 3 of my annual year ends were incorrect. 2 of these year ends were filed very close to the deadline, which is 1,5 years after the actual year! The German Finanzamt of course contacted me and wants to understand why we filed late (I wasn't aware it was late) and why there is such a big difference.
I'm now dealing with all these problems and it took so much of my time, because for some reason they make mistakes. When I confronted them they made it questionable if I provided the correct information. But the information is from my sales software - and the year end calculations are also. I doubt that these errors were made by the software, leading to a similar difference each year... and the difference is actually my return rate, so I assume they didn't manually check returns, but they most likely counted them twice.

We are their customer for almost 1 year. EVERY Vat return, they are late, they give me all the file to review the last day of the deadline, and I risk to pay the fee for late payment.
Tomorrow is the deadline, and I have not received any message from them since 6 days
