Great, well organised and interesting event!

A well organised event. Great to see some organisations taking a real and active lead on this agenda and sharing their learnings.

Speakers with a wide range of experience drew attention to the extent of loneliness, its various causes, and the difficulties in discovering lonely people and their needs. The speakers also described various initiatives designed to alleviate loneliness,, such as regular contact by telephone, help with online communication, and letter-writing by volunteers including children. As an active member of a large church (and nominated by the church to attend the event), it has provided useful information which is helping in the ministry of the church.

I have attended a number of the online Government events and have been impressed every time. The speakers are interesting and thought provoking with excellent in depth subject knowledge. The organisation of the event, including the technology platform, ease of access and keeping to planned timing, is the best I've experienced. I look forward to joining more events in the future. I attended the Achieving Gender Equality in the Workplace conference through Government Events and thought the event was really well organised. The speakers with really informative, not to mention inspirational. Thank you for a really thought provoking day!

‘Thoroughly enjoyable event. Very well facilitated and presented in current pandemic restrictions. Felt supported to hear of challenges others experience regarding the definition of Dual Diagnosis. Was greatly encouraged with the amazing initiatives being used to support people with substance use problems. In particular the Capital Card, and the value and effectiveness of engaging with service users in an allotment - as we are in the process of developing a similar project for our service, enhancing recreational and physical therapy interventions through gardening for service users. listening to the engaging speakers who gave fresh and useful information at this conference I was able to frame our response locally from the national context. The organisation and quality of the governments events conference was fantastic and certainly worth a day of my time.
