After years of customer requests and a new kettle, US Wellness Meats is proud to offer Pork Lard! Pork Lard can be used for frying or cooking. It is also the perfect “secret ingredient” for phenomenal baking. If you give Pork Lard a try, it may soon become your favorite kitchen fat.
US Wellness Meats’ Pork Lard is not bleached, deodorized, hydrogenated, or altered. Although it is labeled as 'refined' per USDA requirements, it is simply rendered pork fat. Nothing has been done to or added to Pork Lard.
Each Pork Lard pail weighs around 1.7 lbs.
Our farms are much different than conventional pig farms. On conventional farms, pigs are often kept in overcrowded pens and also administered antibiotics.
US Wellness Meats pigs are pasture-raised on family farms. They spend their entire lives roaming and rooting in green pastures. Pigs are foragers, and our pigs are outdoors every day (weather permitting) to forage for bugs, sticks, roots, etc. Since pigs have a single stomach, unlike the four-chambered stomach of cattle, we cannot raise a healthy animal on grass alone, so their diets are supplemented with non-GMO grains. They have never been administered antibiotics or added growth hormones.

My family uses many pounds of this lard throughout the year. We use it for almost all of our frying, and we do quite a bit of frying. I'm so glad to have such a pure and clean-tasting product that is great for my family! Buying pure meat, lard, and tallow may be a bit more expensive or difficult than grabbing a bottle of canola and some cheap grocery store meat, but this is the health of our children. I would rather send my money to U.S. Wellness Meats than to the hospital!

I’ve been using this product since 2014 and love it! If you are on a Keto diet, Pork Lard & Beef Tallow are a wonderful addition to your cooking staples. I just made southern fried chicken, in 20 minutes I had the crispiest chicken! Even the left overs were still crispy! There was no heavy fat taste and I know I’m eating health fat that is good for my body.
