I am truly amazed by the work carried out on my Nan’s 1984 gravestone, by GraveClean. I was only a teenager when she passed, and actually believed the gravestone was naturally dark. Well I was shocked... もっず芋る

I was very touched and emotional when


I was very touched and emotional when sent the phots of the cleaning of my mums nans and unckes headstone. It was amazing and beautiful. My mum would be delighted.
Work completed in a timely fashion and i was updated on a regular basis as to progess.
Very professional service and i thank you from the bottom of my heart

Excellent Cleaning

Firstly, our family are all amazed at how good the headstone looks after being cleaned - none of us thought it would look so clean and fresh.
We had very good communication with Lynne in the office who arranged the work.
The price for the cleaning work is very reasonable, especially as other quotes were a lot higher.
Overall an excellent experience with a great outcome.

Outstanding

Lynne & the team are great. The quality of the work is overwhelmingly good. My grandparents stone is next to my fathers and was faded, dirty and hadnt seen a clean since it was installed in 1990. The clean and rewrite service was amazing. I’d recommend anyone to this company.

Difficult job made easy

Graveclean made the experience of getting the headstone cleaned and the Area tidied up a stress free task.
They listened to our requests and kept us well informed of the progress the stonemason was making.
We received before and after photographs. The difference is striking.
We are pleased to recommend their services to all who ask.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that the final appearance of the memorial did not meet your expectations.

The memorial in question is a sandstone headstone and curb set. Our work successfully removed the algae, moss and biological growth, which is the primary purpose of professional memorial cleaning. However, sandstone is a naturally porous and absorbent material. Over time it darkens due to age, moisture retention and mineral staining, and unlike marble or limestone it does not return to a bright white finish once cleaned.

We understand your comment regarding our photos and would like to clarify this point. Our website and marketing materials show a range of memorial materials, including marble and limestone. These stones can appear very similar to sandstone when heavily soiled, but once cleaned they often return to a much lighter appearance. Unfortunately, sandstone behaves very differently and the final result is governed by the stone’s natural characteristics, not the cleaning method.

In addition, the secondary clean and protective treatment applied as part of the service will continue to work over time, helping to inhibit future biological regrowth and giving the stone the best possible chance to gradually improve in appearance as it naturally dries and stabilises.

It’s also important to note that, in many cases, the exact stone type is not fully identifiable until biological growth has been removed. This is why we do not guarantee a specific colour outcome and instead guarantee safe, non-abrasive cleaning appropriate to the material.

We appreciate that this may not have been the transformation you were hoping for, but the cleaning has been carried out correctly and in line with best practice for historic and fragile sandstone memorials.

Customer service as it used to be!

I was totally impressed by the level of customer service from the initial contact through to the clean itself. We experienced a few problems with the local authority but Lynne in the office dealt with them with grace and good humour.
The finished result was just amazing - a total transformation.

Grave re write

Contacted Grave clean to re-write my parents grave, brilliant service given by Lynne so helpful sorting it out for us, and telling us the process, any problems Lynne was there for me, really appreciated your support, thanks Lynne, and thank you yo the team that did the work , brilliant really happy with the outcome, family members that have seen said how good it looks

Beautiful restoration

Due to age and infirmary I have been unable to keep my family grave for a number of years.GraveClean have done a fantastic job restoring it to its original condition .Highly recommended. Very professional and excellent price

I have no hesitation in recommending Grave Clean

I booked Grave Clean to clean my family grave stone which was first used over 100 years ago . From my first conversation with Lynne I could tell that she understood the service I wanted and embodied professionalism. I was sure Grave Clean would complete the work I wanted to a high standard. The communication and the subsequent work carried out by Steve was completed to my complete satisfaction. I have no hesitation in recommending Grave Clean services.

Headstone cleaning

I had two white marble graves in a dreadful state, one of which needed re-lettering. I contacted Graveclean and within a month both graves had been cleaned to a high standard. One grave had to have the lettering replaced as half the lead letters had been lost due to maintenance work with strimmers in the churchyard. The staff at the firm were very helpful. I would recommend Graveclean to anyone wanting to restore their loved ones gravestones.
