The Great Wine Company is the best wine merchant in Bath! Their packaging for delivering wine is superb. Their orders arrive on time and without any damage. Would recommend without hesitation!

good service, good prices and good advice

I have only been using the Great Wine Co for a few months and am disappointed that the shop has closed. I have always had good service and excellent advice from the staff and my first online order has just arrived. packed perfectly and securely, delivered when promised and in good condition. I shall continue using the online service until a new venue is found. Prices are fair and reasonable

Disappointing Company

Wine never arrived but I should have read the numerous reviews which indicate that this company uses a low end courier so not really a surprise.

Thank you for your comments - we use DPD because in our experience, overall they offer an excellent service across the country. We could use a very premium courier although we would need to pass this cost on in full. We're sorry to hear that your wine was not delivered but DPD looked to have done what they were asked and attempted delivery on two occasions, and it isn't clear why delivery was not possible. Please do let us know if this account is inaccurate. As part of their policy, and ours, they require proof of age from a signatory and hence the wines cannot just be left. From looking into the detail the refund for your order was made and although we far prefer to deliver wine we hope that this process was straightforward. Please let us know if you have further comment. Many thanks.

I obviously rushed that order

I obviously rushed that order - only got 9 bottles and 3 of them were tiny. My fault but there could be a message pops up before payment to say are you sure you only want 9 bottles as you miss out on the lower price which was the reason you were ordering them in the first place and maybe it could be more obvious they're half sized.
