Green Motion operates a car hire desk at London Southend Airport (SEN), serving Southend on Sea and the surrounding area. This page also covers the Southend Downtown desk. The rental desk is located inside the Arrivals Hall at the airport terminal, which sits directly opposite Southend Airport Train Station, making it easy to reach on foot for those not arriving by plane. When returning a vehicle, follow signs to the Budget Car Park, enter through the barrier, and head to the return bays on the right-hand side. For queries, call the branch (the number is in the branch details on this page). Desk opening hours (local time): every day 06:00–midnight, including public holidays.

Booker beware
No warning of self-service pick-up and no way to contact them
Booked directly with Green Motion Southend and I wasn't told collection would be from an unattended kiosk. No instructions, no signage for pick up (just returns) so spent over 20 minutes in a dark car park trying to find the car based on sound alone as the parking lights didn’t flash.
The car had noticeable scratches, including on the alloys, and no damage report was provided to record them. That leaves customers exposed to charges for damage they didn't cause and feels like a complete set-up!
I tried to call but the number on the website is a dud. Found a number on a booking agreement where every option cut off after a recorded messages, and the email address bounced as no longer in use.
CarPlay also didn't work when I finally found the car.
Thanks for the unnecessary delay and distress in getting to the hospice to visit my dad!
Beware when booking! Call in advance in business hours and hope to speak to someone to save yourself a do-over!
