I was very pleased with the way it was laid out with the flash cards and quizzes. The stage checks are great to revisit for a quick review if you haven't been studying consistently. I used this course along with a part 141 school. I recommend this course to all the CFI's and students I talk to.

Used for instrument. Much more engaging than the other solution I used for private. Videos are entertaining and doesn’t bore you to death with walls of text

Great training and test prep for my private pilot written knowledge test. Managed to score a 97% using this and other free tools on the net. Thanks you. Well worth the money spent.

Course had a bunch of great content that was engaging. There were some gaps, but with any ground school, you should expect to supplement the material with other sources including the official FAA publications which gold seal does a good job of pointing you at. When ever I brought some of these to the attention to Russ, he create more content that further flushed out the course. I'm choosing gold seal again for my instrument.

Gold Seal Online Ground School made learning for my knowledge test a breeze. The content was engaging and fun. Complex concepts are well explained through great 3D animations and good audio so any person with average intelligence can easily pass their exams. This is NOT a boring video course with a slideshow. I passed my written exam before I had my first flight lesson and you can too. I highly recommend Gold Seal to anyone, well worth the money!

The Private Pilot ground school was very good. It helped me to pass the PAR exam with a 90%, and I recommend it to anyone; however, the Instrument Ground School is lacking big time. I spend about 60 hours on the course - going through it slowly the first time and more quickly the second time. I passed all of the exams in the green. I did 7 or 8 practice exams, and probably 5 final exams, where I scored 88% to 95%. Despite all of this effort, I barely passed the IFR knowledge test today with a 75%. This should tell anyone that there is something off, big time, with this Gold Seal course.

Easy to understand

I used Gold Seal for my PPL written exam and plan to do the same for my cherckride. The lessons are well structured, accessible and explain the concepts well both for real world flying and to prepare for the exams. It has been an invaluable support.

I signed up for Gold Seal Online Ground School several years ago to prepare for the Part 107 exam. I would get close to being ready for the exam and then life would get in the way and I would not take it. I finally decided to schedule the exam and prepare for that date. Gold Seal was immensely helpful. The lessons are clear. The flash cards, quizzes, and exams help you understand the material, and there are videos and popups that help you when you encounter an area of difficulty. Highly recommended!!

Great ground school. Easy to understand and learn from. Videos were well done, not too long and did a great job explaining.

Information is detailed and thorough, with plenty of visuals and repetition to help you internalize the learning.

I loved the guys and the lady human factors very knowledgeable. I felt like I was in class right there with them. The best was when some of the referrals to some of the restaurants on the low level charts. I will make a point to go to the restaurant in Louisiana and will tell them Gold Seal sent me.

I tried Sportys and Sheppard Air. Sportys course wasn’t really clicking and Sheppard seemed overwhelming The folks at Gold Seal got me over the finish line with my instrument written. I was getting mid to upper 90’s on this practice exams, walked away with an 88% on the real exam. Highly recommend Gold Seal!

Gold Seal is your one stop shop for all things ground school! Russ is so thorough and fastidious in the videos while keeping it light and not dry like most other online courses. I also really love the mini quizzes between some of the courses. Most people dread ground school, but I can confidently say I enjoy it when its with Gold Seal.
