This company speaks a good game but does not meet its promises. In fact, the contract I signed with them was violated by them. I have been paying in excess of $700/mo for a year, and one debt for $918 has been settled. I was sued without any representation per our contract. One month they double-drafted my payment which wreaked havoc with my bank account overdrawing the account by thousands. Thankfully, my reputation with the bank saved me and I was able—after more than a month—to get a refund for the clerical error. Finally, I received a call from the attorney on the one year anniversary only to find she knew nothing about any of these incidents, none of the litigations, or what I was actually paying after dropping a few accounts I managed to settle myself. I just found out the company NEVER sent notices of representation to my creditors per the contract. Attorney sounded shocked to find two suits had been completed with me in default and promised I would hear from a litigation person within a few days—that was almost 4 weeks ago! Scammers!! I am contacting my attorney now in an effort to get a refund for most of the funds this company has been holding for over a year, and starting over with bankruptcy. Don’t get suckered in by the professional representatives: they are con artists!!!

This Law Group has not rendered services to my husband as promised. He never had a late payment to the loan company he had an account with. Guidestone promised they could lower the high interest monthly payments by $200. It has been over a year the Guidestone has been taking montly payments of $313 out of my husband's account and have not made one payment. His account with the loan company has been charged off and now with a collection agency. My husband has call several times but they keep telling him to ignore the creditors, collection agency... and forward correspondes to them. They have not did anything.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS LAW FIRM.

Scam Alert: Avoid at all cost! I was told on several different occasions that I would receive a refund of my deposits. After six months, I did not receive any services. There was never a debt management plan discussed or shared. I was just told month after month, to ignore the creditors calls and that once I received a certain amount in my "holdings" my first debt would be settled. However, upon having 2100.00 in my "holdings", none of my creditors had received any communication. When I requested to remove myself from the "program" due to lack of service, I was giving multiple run-arounds. I was told I would receive a refund, but then, after 31 days, I did not receive any funds. I was denied 1800 for services never rendered. Please stay away from this company. Use a free, non-profit debt management company. You do not have to use a "law" group. All they are good at doing is taking your money for not rendering services.

Has taken advantage of a family member who suffers from mental illness. When requested a rebate he has to legally prove that he was not of sound mind.

A representative on the behalf of Guidestone appeared to negotiate, I advised her that said family member was not of sound mind and yet she still contracted business. Highly unethical.

Totally scam ruined my credit when I wanted to cancel out there were like we just did a settlement paid in over $8000 they have done nothing are giving me back $1000 and telling me to have a nice day. Are you kidding me.. TOTAL RIP-OFF

Horrible company they are only out to make money for themselves! I wish I would have done more research before signing up! I made payments every 2 weeks of $331 and they took $176 out for themselves and that was never discussed! You will never get out of debt with this company they definitely hurt me more financial I paid them over $1300 when I canceled and I’m told I will only receive $400 as my refund! Such a scam company! They don’t tell you all the facts! Beware to read all the fine print before you sign anything! Still waiting on my refund!

I just started with this company back in December and communication is horrible. I had to call and adjust my pay dates and after 2 hours on the phone still didn’t get that successfully completed. Thankfully when I called back a different person was able to do it within 5 mins. After that I’ve had the hardest time getting any assistance. I’ve sent emails through the app, I’ve called, and nothing. I do however continue to get their “automated” emails. If it doesn’t get better I definitely know I need to back out while I’m ahead.

The individual with whom I spoke was very helpful. He was knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He answered all my questions.

I recently received a lump sum that I wanted to use to pay off my debt. When I contacted guidestone law group they said that it doesn’t matter if I placed the lump sum amount in my account that I will have to still wait 6 - 8 months before they can do anything about my debt. Now that baffles me. When I reached out to Alexander Race (my so-called representative who works with Strategic Consulting on behalf of Guidestone law group) who was so eager to answer any questions that I had at the beginning of the process, he ghosted me. Meanwhile my credit score is ruined so much. I never missed a payment in my life, I was only seeking simplicity and organization of my debt payment and I thought they could help, but they haven’t for the past couple of months now; however they have taken their monthly payments from my account. The reviews here are not telling the whole story about how they have to deal with the nightmare of calls and declined credit card usage because again this company wouldn’t lift a finger until AT LEAST 6 MONTHS…so it could be more than 6 months before they even get involved in your debt solution. Well, I hope this review helps someone in my shoes that can get out before it’s too late.

Update 12/13: Nothing is happening with this company. Read reviews on BBB.ORG and see what similar horror stories "REAL" customers are giving about this company.

I am still at the early stage of it, but, they’ve been wonderful and closely in touch.

Horrible 151.00 was deducted from my account had that SHOULD not have occured. Split payment was to be a one time thing..but then they take out 151 on the 15th cause my account to be overdrawn..now I have no finances to hold me over until next month on a fixed income..ehen I called in told it be back on account 24 to 58 hours no such thing happened..so I called on 9/23 only to be told my request was denied..If I had known they have such underhanded practice I Elwood never signed up with them..
