I ordered my Islander's specifically to take to Nevada and Arizona in the USA but after a few days of walking about the cushioning seemed to give up and lose its elasticity and bounce resulting in an uncomfortable time.
My feet didn't feel "like walking on wet sand" but like being barefoot on concrete.
I queried with customer service who responded "The Gumbies Islander flip-flops are designed with our signature barefoot feel in mind — offering flexibility, grip, and connection with the ground rather than the soft cushioning you might find in more padded footwear."
I found these Gumbies very uncomfortable to walk in

Excellent customer service, Had an issue with one of my products and this was resolved straight away. Even over the xmas period 👍. Used this company for a few years now and always been an excellent products.
Recommend everyone buying there products.

Worlds biggest Brumby fan! I have had my first pair for probably 5 years, wear them every day for 6 months of the year. So comfy and great for a quick nip to the shed. I discovered today the sole is disintegrating which is not bad considering they have probably had in excess of 5k hours wear! Ordered a new pair so quick. In the past I have had to have new slippers every year. These just lasted and lasted and lasted. Only wish they could be sent off and re-soled.

Lightening quick delivery and most of all fantastic service. I am a long time Gumbies fan for flip flops and this time purchased slippers. They are beautiful and so comfy. The lady I spoke to in Customer services was brilliant. Thank you so much 😁

Fantastic customer service! Nathan was brilliant sorting out an order I messed up when placing. As soon as the order was rectified it was sent. Really good service.

Great as long as you don’t go to a hot country. Sole came away while on holiday in the UAE. As I got these 10 months ago I didn’t keep the receipt so not entitled to warranty claim

Started with the sliders because I couldn't get on with thong style flops. Eventually tried them, I'm now a convert. 2 pairs of sliders 4 pairs of Islanders, loving them all. Accidently double an order, Gumbies happily let me return them free post and refunded quickly. Good product, good company.

Ordered my second pair Monday afternoon, had them on my feet before lunch Tuesday.
Really comfortable,great value , hard wearing although did go down a size this time for a slightly tighter fit

Fantastic customer service. Ordered 2 pairs but 1 pair was the wrong size. Emailed customer service, received a very swift response from Vicki who apologised & got the correct size sent out the same day. She also included a returns label for me to send the wrong size back. As the majority of companies now seem to have forgotten what customer service is all about, it was so refreshing to have human contact with someone who obviously cares about her customers. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, great service & quality products. Well done!

Toe post very uncomfortable pulls tight do not buy

Well I ordered a pair of the flip flops a few days ago and they arrived yesterday. I’ve tried them on as I’ve bought them for going on holiday, all I can say is they are REALLY comfy so my first impressions are these are a great item 👍🏻

Absolutely amazing slippers, I’d love to buy another pair and so would lots of friends who I’ve recommended them to but for some reason this company never produces enough to meet demand. Seems silly and counterproductive and it’s almost impossible to get ahold of them

I bought their slippers, and though they were not right for me, the customer service before and after purchase was excellent.

I have had my Gumbies for just under a year now (I don't wear them in the summer months as they were too hot). Now that we are going into the winter months I dug them out again and I am so disappointed, I cannot wear them anymore as they have become so big and baggy they fall off my feet and are unsafe to wear. I find I am either clenching my toes or I'm walking differently to try and keep them on my feet. I'm likely to fall over in them. I have also replaced the inner soles - that was a waste of money too as within a few months again the slippers are loose again. If I had a smaller size they would be too small in the length.

Don't buy as they won't last and I actually don't think they are very safe to wear.

So, I've wasted about £60, all in, on these slippers that I will never wear again.

Disappointed.

2nd pair of slippers just received, my old ones have "grown" from being worn so much. I'm keeping these for the garden.

I also have flip flops and sandals, they're my go to choice.

And good for our environment too.

Disappointing - Oversized and Uncomfortable

I purchased a pair of Gumbies slippers after reading so many glowing reviews, expecting ultimate comfort. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite.
First, the sizing is way off. I ordered my usual size (UK 8), but the slippers I received were at least one or two sizes too big. They were also incredibly wide, making them impossible to wear without slipping off. I had read a few reviews mentioning that some people needed socks to wear them, but these weren’t just a little big—they were huge!
On top of that, the slippers were not comfortable at all. They felt hard, rigid, and rough on my feet, which is definitely not what I was expecting for the price (£37.95). I had hoped for a cosy, cushioned feel, but these slippers were too firm and uncomfortable to walk around in.
In summary, these slippers did not live up to the hype. For the price, I expected much better quality and comfort. I returned them immediately for a refund. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend these to anyone looking for soft, cosy house slippers.

Lovely colour and came super quick .2days after ordering. but i have very thin feet and they are a bit too wide on me and slip off when walking😕

Ordered on a Monday and it’s Friday now and still no sign of the item. So no item to review but the delivery service is shockingly bad. Won’t be a return customer that’s for sure!!

Received brumby for hospital who won’t allow my gummies felt mules. The elastic join with the felt is uncomfortable actually hard, so need a sock inside, not the point, if you want bare feet in slippers. Without sock might create blister
