Awful third rate platform and every single communication you have is with either a scammer, a bot or someone that doesn’t respond or turn up - total waste of online space occupied solely by bottom feeding wasters

Gumtree, what has happened……
Your web page is shocking!!!!!!!!
It’s glitchy,slow and unusable.
I agree with all your other customers,BRING THE OLD WEBSITE BACK.
Your losing a lot of customers with this new web site, it’s so poor.
Listen to your customers.
I wouldn’t recommend this site to others , look at the 1 star feedback and improve from there.
It’s just frustrating as gumtree was a good site for me.NOT ANYMORE.

Put a pet ad on that they immediately took down claiming it was against their rules. Apparently I'm linked to another account that has put 2 pet ads on this year. They charged me £29.99 to NOT put my ad on! Crazy, and there's nothing I can do about it. I'll never use them again and nor should anyone else because they will absolutely rip you off.

Absolute rubbish i tried to sell a guitar on there five times …I tried to post it and every time the ad was removed because it was inappropriate it was just a guitar. Don’t use Gumtree the app is totally useless. Don’t download it it will infect other apps and seriously compromise your operating system

I used to use gumtree every day , with this new app it's truly awful what have you done to it bring back the old app

An awful app to use. Photos appear in wrong order. Unable to view messages. I had an email enquiring about my item. Clicked on it to reply and gumtree doesn't take me to the message. At the top of the screen there is a green circle on messages but no message appears . Gumtree used to be good and easy to use now it's a disaster . Needless to say I won't be able to sell my item if I can't view the messages and the potential buyer would think I'm ignoring them too. Complete waste of time.

the most bad houses with bad conditions one .....hit room cost more then 2 bedroom flat even there does not have nice flats and they took too much money for nothing I can understand if this will be some apartment or residention but too much price for ....hit houses or flat without conditions for some humanity pp flats cost more then anything first conditions then pay as I have seen is not worthy of prices they put on perdon

Paid £75 for an advert feature, immediately removed my advert.
I complained & eventually it was displayed.
I change my price & add some pictures, they then remove the advert again.
What a flawed selling site. DONT USE IT.

Updated/edited ads with different photos and showing correct photo on My Gumtree part of app but showing different one on website and search result of my ads on the app. Bloody useless. Buyers seeing wrong cover photo which defeats the purpose of choosing the right photo for people to see. Also updated/edited price change not showing on Google search. Ad showing old price despite changing on app days ago.

Also people are much more moronic and rude than in the past but that's a different matter altogether and obviously not an issue with Gumtee but the UK! This country really is full of tools.

The worst selling app / website I've ever come across.
My 5 year old could do better.

Newly updated this website is now nearly un usable. Loads of removed ads (which were never placed by me) are on my space and all sold stuff is still on and not removable. This makes it such a long process its not worth it. IF ITS NOT BROKE DONT FIX IT!!!

I was charged £29.99 for my advert to be taken down after a second of being advertised but I was not paid back or told why it was just tuck off just that I will get an email as to why but I never got this so I email them 2 days ago and have still not had an email back or my money back. The price as gone up dramatically to in a short space of time I'm very annoyed right now that iv been scammed! I will be contacting the consumer rights regarding this matter.

Beware sellers!

If somebody contacts you out of the blue via your own listings trying to sell you something, be careful. Firstly they shouldn't really be doing this & secondly if they dont send a link to their listing you can assume it's a scam no matter how friendly & articulate the message is.

I've had a few of these unsolicited messages with people trying to off load on me recently. I just block the account with no response.

Selling without a listing or sending targeted messages to other sellers is super suspicious & not they way to sell an item.

Dont give out any personal details no matter how authentic or friendly the message is.

Keep safe & if it doesn't feel right it probably isn't.

very basic features, don't expect any checking and vetting of users and good luck buying and selling stuff...

Never again! After years of selling on Gumtree I've now deleted the app. Reasons as stated on other reviews. Total waste of energy.

What have they done, been usinggumtreefor years...just opened gumtree and its Been updated..awful.. keeps saying something gone wrong, won't open, no search alerts, hard to track things you've saved..
Better sort it out or bye bye gumtree

GUMTREE IS A SCUM GUM, WHICH NOT ONLY FOLLOWS YOU ONLINE, BUT ANYTHING TO DO WITH MONEY THEY THEMSELVES WILL SEND YOU FAKE MESSAGES FROM FAKE INTERESTS. Then when you click In link in message you have being SCUMED PERMANENTLY ON EVERY WEBSITE ON INTERNET YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MONEY. If you complain they will take your money and STILL CONTINUE TO LINK YOU TO ANYTHING FINANCIAL , TO GET YOU TO CLICK IN FAKE LINKS WITHIN ALL OTHER WEBSITES. THEY WILL SEND YOU ERRORS NUMBERS, MEANING THEY ARE IN THAT CLICK. SO WHEN THAT HAPPENS SWITCH ALL OF YOUR DEVICES OFF, AND SWITCH OFF INTERNET FOR AT LEAST 20 SECONDS, THEN RESTART ALL OF IT AGAIN. THAT WILL CLEAR SCUM GUM LINKS AND KEEP DOING THAT WHEN EVER THEY SEND YOU NUMBER ERROR CODES. So over any website you are on they will send you fake links. THEN THEY WILL SCUM YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN. You would think that you were scammed by other websites, BUT NO BEHIND EVERY SCUM IS GUMTREE PROFESSIONAL SCUMBAGS, BECAUSE THEY KEEP YOUR DETAILS AND EVERYTHING YOU DO ONLINE IN THEIR SO CALLED SCUM BOOKS PERMANENTLY, BUT THE SCUM BOOK CREATOR AND OWNER AND OPERATOR IS GUMTREE AND THE ONLY USER OF THEIR SCUM BOOK IS GUMTREE. THEY ARE SAYING THEY ARE CONNECTED TO FRAUDS PREVENTION, BUT THE ONLY FRAUDULENT PEOPLE ON GUMTREE EVER IS GUMTREE THEMSELVES PERIOD. SO STAY AWAY FROM GUMTREE THEY ARE SCUM FOREVER PERMANENTLY. Terrible company, you write out your listing, but it can't be posted until you have paid your £34.99, when they have your cash it's immediately deleted! message reads your advert has been deleted because of some imaginary infringement, and states you will be sent an email with their reasons for deleting, which of course never is sent! Just set up to rob you! Stay well clear! not the site it used to be!
I feel you need negative stars for this one

They deleted my ad that they charged me £25 for just because my phone number was in the photo . No warning or asking me.to change the photo just deleted it and refuse to give a refund
