GUMTREE TOOK £40 FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT AND DISABLE MY POSTED AD AND THEY DONT REFUND TO MILLIONS OF USERS AVOID GUMTREE IT BECOME SCUM WEBSITE NOW 👎👎👎👎👎

Asked for cars or vsns under £1000 all ads sent to me were way over this some were £30.000 plus!!!

Beware that when trying to post an ad on Gumtree not only is their format painful to use but my ad costing me £9.99 for the very most basic could not be accessed by myself and it was not linked to my account- I then had to waste even more time after the painful experience of trying to create the post - the only reason I begrudgingly paid the £9.99 is I only found out they have put their prices up by £8 since I last tried to use them) I contacted them several times to ask what was wrong with the ad I could not see it linked to my account nor could I slide the live notifications on - finally ( meanwhile I’d sold all the kittens elsewhere via free ads and word of mouth) They refused me a refund even though when I asked for it - the ad I’d paid for was not fit for purpose as in not live - I am very frustrated that I wasted many’s hours of my time and was charged £10 just for them to approve it - they definitely have become money grabbing uncaring people be warned I paid £10 wasted many hours and for treated terribly it’s not just the money it’s their attitude they were even aware I’m am unemployed due to long term illness - avoid them use the other on line platforms available!!

They only finally made this ad live after I demanded my money back when I’d already sold the kittens privately and elsewhere their ad didn’t actually sell them just was frustrating and overpriced !!! pets 4 Homes half the price and offers a better service more pictures and even videos !!!

I use to use Gumtree regularly after this I’ll not use them again. A real shame as they were previously great to deal with.

Time wasters who take your address & never show up...Avoid...

Don’t get your workmen from Gumtree they are all inexperienced they will leave your work half completed, Someone even told me he would complete the work the next day, to give him the money I trusted him the money but he never showed up! Gumtree did nothing about it!
Use mybuilders.com tradesmen they are experienced and well mannered, will leave your job to satisfactory level. If not you can at least leave a review which trades person really cares about.

See all the other posts of sellers listing ads and then inexicably taken down and basically told "don't come back!". Exact same for me. I stupidly paid promo fees, which they decided they were within their rights to keep despite my ad never going live. Something else is going on here with this company. Suggest you don't line up for the unexpected whacks and insults coming your way from the 'service team'.

My add for a piano has only been up for a couple of days and so far I've only had responses from people who are clearly scammers. Too much like hard work tbh. Gumtree responded quickly when I let them know about first scammer but after 4th it was more hassle than it's worth. Wish I hadn't wasted my £10 promoting my ad. Wouldn't recommend.

Had 3 immediate lengthy email to and fros from obvious scammers with no intention whatever of buying my iPhone. Gumtree/eBay do absolutely nothing to limit the plague of scammers on the site. Why don’t they at least list how long users have been registered so that you can try to spot scams from people who have just joined for a single try at defrauding then use a different account next time. The amount of care you need when trying to sell something is just OTT.

This website is an absolute joke i tried to sell my old xbox and all i did was post two pictures and a description and they removed it when i asked why they email back

Worst company I have dealt with!!!
Thieves and scammers!
They unjustifiably removed my advertisement, blocked me from any conversation and tried to explain what was going on

Shame really I can’t give ZERO stars!!!!! I posed and sad, 3 times to have them all removed without notifying me. Baring in mind I paid for them all 3 times!!!!!! They then decided to send my other half an email saying we are violating their terms and condition without reason when all we did was post a photo and a description of what we were trying to sell! Absolute shambles of a site! They are meant to contact you explaining why they have removed your ad, and never did. So they have broken their terms and condition also. Gumtree if you’d like to get in contact, please do because I’ll be writing reviews on your pages every day on how useless this site is….

Gumtree have just put prices up by 200% to advertise vehicles was £17.99 now £44.99
Bump up £5.99 now £14.99
Featured advert 19.99 for 2 weeks now £70

Advertisement filter!!!

Tried to advertisement my add couple times once it eas removed because I have gave my personal number in whole text. They removed my addvert without explaining or money returning. Then I tried to advert again as it was removed I have paid fee £30 as advertisement was posted couple times they removed it again without returning the fee again!!!! So in total I have spent £90 and left with no advertisement on! Totally crap website! I would never use it again.

This site should be shut down. There is too many scammers. 1 scammer is enough if gumtree does not do anything about it. A little birdie told me that gumtree sell your details to Indian scam call centre's. Too many people on this site also want something for nothing. The only people that really buy from this site are established businesses like cash generator etc who know they can flip a item for double the price. This site should be shut down and investigated. Rot in hell scamming pr*cks

Why are you not regulating the site!!! Put a petrol scooter for sale and every Tom dick and Harry was messaging and trying to scam us. Why would anyone waste their time to sell on here I have no idea

scammers my advertisement has been deleted, it has not happened to me so far, I have not recovered money for an advertisement that was not posted on the website

Another day, another scam call as a result of advertising on Gumtree. Avoid.
