This beautiful perfect condition chaise Longue was purchased on eBay and delivered successfully by a two man delivery service. The item was fully wrapped and arrived perfectly and in pristine condition. The customer had however by their own admittance forgotten to check whether the chaise would fit through an extremely narrow door/ passage down to a lower floor once inside their upper floor. All conversations recorded in writing by eBay and we had no choice to accept a return of the item although this is always at a loss to us due to eBay charges etc. The customer returned the chaise in a dreadful condition with lots of damage to the genuine silver leaf frame which required repair and restoration and whole item needed professionally cleaning as the black velvet was covered in dirt / pet fur and even a pet broken claw! Again photographic evidence was supplied to eBay and this member reported by us. We are allowed under seller protection on eBay to withhold any costs involved for damaged returns under SELLER PROTECTION. Financially we are still at a loss but eBay have covered the repair costs and the member received a reduced refund from us as we are covered against buyers sending back damaged goods. We certainly were not prepared to sell further furniture to this buyer even though they requested it due to the extremely awkward and narrow access door / stairs downwards as nothing suitable was available and we didn’t want to be involved in a further mistake by the buyer. It is such a shame that some buyers are not honest enough to admit their mistakes but luckily we were covered by eBay seller protection. At no point were we condescending or rude as all messages were sent through EBay in writing ( no phone contact) - only professional and clear as to return steps and eBay conditions. Luckily as this was an eBay sale we are protected against damaged returns. It is such a shame that this particular individual / company has made fictitious claims to attempt to disguise the true events. THIS REVIEW IS NOT TRUE REFLECTION as we supplied a perfect and beautiful item as admitted by buyer then abused Ebay returns system and was reported by us and is now on their ebay record

We are disappointed to receive this review which is, however, totally misleading and incorrect. The customer has not actually raised any issues with the great quality of our furniture as actually repeatedly asked for replacement furniture and also potentially required other items after delivery ( all in writing from customer). We have not lied about anything, we have not been rude and responded immediately to the customer – all recorded by us in writing. The customer was offered full refund by us within 3 working days of the customer raising any problems. This customer purchased two chairs after almost a year of first contacting us. The customer received fantastic customer service from us with a quick efficient delivery service. False and unfounded accusations have been made against us. Yes we did have an issue with this customer but the whole matter was rectified extremely quickly by us and it is of our opinion that the damage ( which is unbelievably tiny - a couple of extremely tiny scuff marks and easily remedied) occurred whilst in customers own possession. Prior to purchase the customer had already mentioned that his main doorway was limited, and passage is obscured with a radiator in entranceway. The extremely minor two scuffs were NOT reported immediately. As it was quite clear that the two scuffs had occurred either after packaging removed or rubbed during transit we immediately contacted both the customer and also the delivery company to ascertain the facts regarding the delivery. We know that the chairs were in perfect condition when leaving us and very protectively wrapped.The third party delivery company we always use ( and have done for many years) have always been honest and reliable and are a known entity to us.

The whole matter once raised by the customer was dealt with extremely fast and efficiently by us and concluded completely within just over a week!

The customer repeatedly asked for identical replacements which we were unable to agree and was offered instead a full refund upon return with the delivery company- all within 3 working days of receipt of the order.

Despite receiving conflicting reports from the customer and delivery company it was agreed by both of these parties that all packaging was removed prior to the customer moving the furniture himself into his flat. The customer has not denied the delivery companies statement that he was so pleased with the delivery that he gave the two delivery persons a large tip. No report of any damage was made after being fully unwrapped on day of delivery.

We offered the customer a full refund so long as the chairs were returned to us by the delivery company. The customer did not reply to our email and instead a few days later opened up a paypal case. Paypal cases once opened state that if a case was proven against a retailer then the customer doesn’t have to return the goods and they can have full refund. We had already lost all trust and confidence in this customer, especially when the paypal case had been opened up as there had been no disagreement about a return and full refund offered by us a just a few days after delivery.

The chairs were recollected by the delivery company quickly and paypal was instructed immediately by us to make the full refund which had never been disputed by us. It was our wish to sever connections as quickly as possible with this customer and finalise.

We supply huge amounts of furniture to very happy customers and have done so for many years, especially our many repeat customers. It is only rare genuine customers that contributes to feedback platforms with negative reviews and is done with spite with no regard to complete honesty. We conduct all customer service issues in writing and not over the phone for the sake of complete transparency and proof.

We are grateful to receive such a positive comment about this customers purchase as the item purchased was 100% perfect and exactly as the customer ordered and obviously the customer was delighted and states " I love it"

Incorrect star rating was given to reflect this situation !

We offered FREE DELIVERY to this customer and as clearly stated before checking out on our website it states - Please note that FREE DELIVERY is kerbside one man service. The delivery company will be as helpful as they can be – please see DELIVERY SECTION ON OUR WEBSITE FOR FULL DETAILS"

We cannot be any clearer on our deliveries as is all in writing and customer failed to read this very clear message, which was then repeated twice more by ourselves when booking the delivery and then also by the delivery company...all in writing

Being an online company we have no idea of our customers personal circumstances ie age of customer, intended use of furniture, where furniture is to be used ie could be up huge amount of stairs etc .

The vast majority of our customers appreciate the FREE delivery service which keeps the cost of our items lower than if delivery charges were added. When someone places orders online we do not know their individual circumstances and most people that need extra help normally can call upon their family, friends or neighbours to assist ...we are sorry to hear that this particular customer was not able to arrange this in advance, but in reality the customer was unduly worried as the delivery company did however satisfy this customers needs above and beyond the normal FREE delivery conditions

This is an example how Trustpilot feedback can be so misleading as customer was happy with purchase and received a service from the delivery company as stated at time of purchase.

The worst customer ever. The customer was too busy to accept delivery for 8 months after item was being made to order so we had to store at our warehouse for almost 8 months free of charge whilst the customer was travelling to his overseas holiday homes in Portugal and The Bahamas. Item was exactly as shown on our website and the customer did not take any problem up with us after almost 2 years from initial order. The customer shipped the item overseas himself using his own courier. The customer did NOT receive any refund from us as stated and customer kept the item!
All genuine problems are always acted upon promptly by us.
