Uncomfortable earplugs for too much money! I ordered the trial pack to try out the size. Unfortunately, they all hurt more or less and offer little or poor hearing protection. Good marketing, unfortunately bad product.

It is a scam. I bought a couple of plugs for my girlfriend. First of all, the marketing is slick and looks very high-end. But when I got the product in the mail they seemed cheap and nothing like the quality I expected.

She still gave them a go, of course. She used them and said they were less useful than other cheaper ones from the pharmacy. Wouldn't stay in place when sleeping and the db levels were lower than others she had.

After some days they ask for a review. I write a negative review (no offensive language or anything), and they reply that the content has been "moderated" because "it did not meet their corporate guidelines". What the? I go check the reviews on their site. Turns out all bad reviews are just people saying it didn't fit, and they always respond that they should've bought the Discovery Pack (which is also refundable). Funny--no mention of actual bad experiences with the quality of the product.

So, I decide to write another review, with much less content but still negative; again, no offensive stuff or saying it's a scam whatsoever. Of course, it gets rejected again for the same reason.

So yeah, it's a scam. Should've known as they were advertised via Google, otherwise wouldn't have even appeared on my search. If you must buy, do the Discovery Pack which is refundable. But to be honest, do yourself a favor and buy from brands with actual quality instead of just marketing and shady business models.

I am astonished by the bad reviews. No, no one is paying me. No, I don't work for them. I think people should be more careful with the reviews. You are talking about a company, and not just a scam, and bad reviews damage their reputation a lot. I bought the discovery set. And I had to try all sizes and move them in and out to find the perfect fit. I am a frequent user of earplugs, and I can tell you that the level of comfort and insulation is the same or even better than the Alpine earplugs of silicone ones like sleepdreamz. I can understand that these earplugs can not work for some people, but since the company gives a refund, I can't see the point of advising against buying them. They worked for me and for many other people. Just let people try. They are not cheap, but it's worth the try. They are incredibly comfortable for me and to other people.

I was so surprised to come on here and read all the bad reviews!! My happy ears are AMAZING. I live in a party area and it gets really loud so I sleep with my happy ears and don’t hear a thing. What I can imagine is that people either have the wrong size (make sure to buy the discovery pack at first so that you can try them all out - size really matters!!). I’m a 5,4 ft petite woman and the small was too small for me (I could still hear everything) so I use medium. Secondly maybe people aren’t putting them in properly? It takes a bit until I have them in the right spot but once I do I literally can’t hear anything anymore.

So yeah - I would 100% recommend (which I have done to so many of my friends).

I read the reviews and got myself some. I soooo wanted them to be good but alas no. Not only the most expensive earplugs I've ever purchased but also the least effective and not very comfortable. The search continues.

These plugs are extremely hard to remove from the ears. This morning I couldn't grab and remove one, so I had to go to the emergency room to have it removed from the ear. I'll never touch them again.

Great earplugs - gave my father a pair and they work fantastic!

No complaints anymore when I am playing "loud" music and he can take his "well earned naps" without being disturbed.

Recommendable to anyone dealing with these issues listed above!

Even though the ear plugs didn't work for me but I am still glad to say that their customer service is fantastic. And the company kept their words "money guarantee". After I contacted them, one day later I got my money back.

Are the good reviews about Happy Ears a joke?
To be true, this is the worst (and most expensive) earplugs of all the earplugs I have tried. I bought the Discovery Pack but will send them back tomorrow.

Love the earplugs. Would recommend to everyone, my sleep has become so much better.
They works great to lower noice in noisy place, so that you are still able to have conversations.
These have been by far the greatest tool to help me not to increase my headache, i have due to my concession.

I ordered and received the trial pack of all three sizes (given I hadn’t tried them before I wanted the size options). Unfortunately they weren’t for me - they seemed good at first, but I couldn’t wear them for an extended period of time without sharp pain from the pressure/digging into parts of my ear that would then hang around after I had taken them out.
I feel like the company knows this is an issue, and that it must be a widespread issue, because not long after I received them I got multiple emails from Happy Ears pretty much saying if I didn’t like them to let them before leaving a negative review. In order to offer that suggestion/request unprompted to me feels like this is a common problem that they are trying to get in front of.

not for me (earplugs too small) BUT I must say their customer care is amazing they refunded me the same day I asked them out...so I guess it was worth a try

I have small ear canals but bought the medium so they would fit tight and hoped this would help so that I don’t hear my husband snore. First off they are uncomfortable as I can feel the end post and they don’t block out the sound like I heard they would. It’s not what I expected.

I'm a 5'2" female and none of the sizes fit well enough to block sound the way 25 cent foam earplugs do. Complete waste of money. Just buy the cheaper kind if you really want to block out sound because you'll be able to hear your dad snore in the room across the hall with these.

I have recommended this product to anyone who had patience to hear about my love, yes love, for these ear plugs. I am a light sleeper and have suffered months of sleepless nights next to a newborn neighbor and a loud business. Their best point, they are comfortable and you can sleep with them without the discomfort of conventional cheap earplugs on a pillow.

I've read some of the negative reviews and don't understand why other people have had such a bad experience. I wonder if it's a matter of size, or unrealistic expectations. If I were to give it one critique, is that they occasionally fall out during the night. However, that may be because I don't wear them properly. They are very comfortable and mute most noise, but aren't magic. Case and point, my partner used them for the first time on New year's eve, which is a very loud affair in Spain, and slept through the night easily.

I'm a 6 foot tall male and found that the Large size fitted my ear well. They consistently did a better job of filtering out noise, requiring less manipulation than my usual foam plugs. I found that the plastic kind of dug into one of my ears over the course of the night meaning that I had to remove it before dawn... frustrating but I had similar discomfort with foam plugs as well.

Would I buy them again? Yeah, but they still aren't my perfect set of plugs - I think having a few different styles on hand is the safest bet

I was skeptical about these earplugs, the SNR rating of 25 seems pretty high, with most other concert earplugs going to around 19-21, and as you can probably see a lot of the reviews on Trustpilot seem to be unhappy(ears) with these earplugs.

I was pleasantly surprised, having tried both Senner and Apline earplugs, these are the only earplugs that successfully lower large night clubs (printworks, ministry of sound) to a pleasant volume. At first it can seem like they lower the sound too much, but after a couple hours you'll be thankful they do.

As for fit, these are the least compliant earplugs I've used, and I had my reseverations because I've often had trouble with earplugs either staying in my right ear, or going too far into either ear and being hard to retrieve.

However I am happy to report that I haven't had any issues with these going too far into my ears, and while they may not be the height of comfort, they have a much more consistent fit and require less fiddling with throughout the night, allowing me to forget that they're there to begin with.

As for some help on sizing, myself and a few friends have all picked these up for clubbing, and so far all four of us have come out as a large.

Please trust the negative reviews. They’re so painful, it’s hard to get them to fit in and barely block out noise. You’re just sticking a hard piece of plastic in your ears :( pretty pricey as well, just leave it.

I bought the discovery pack but unfortunately not one of the sizes worked for my ears. They look decent and felt comfortable but sadly didn‘t work for me.
When I contacted Happy Ears they helped me out with the problem straight away.
I'm thrilled. Wether I bought the products or not. Thank you for making the return so easy.
