Eight years ago, I had a great hair transplant experience with Esteworld. Everything was professional, clear, and well organized. Some time later, one of their former German contacts gave me the number of Kagan Özsarac, who had apparently worked with Esteworld in a leading role. When I contacted him now, eight years later, I assumed I was still dealing with the same trusted team or someone in charge of it.

That assumption turned out to be a mistake.

This time, I didn’t even know who my doctor would be — which in hindsight was my fault, too. But I placed my trust in the continuity of my past experience. What I got instead was a disorganized and superficial setup.

The procedure was performed in a neutral facility — a “medical tower” near the Divan City Hotel in Taksim, not an actual clinic. From what I understand now, Kagan likely just rents a room there, as do other providers, to avoid using proper clinics and to maximize his own margin. There is no real infrastructure, no full medical staff, no aftercare.

The doctor — Arife Genç from Estetoria — arrived late, and although I insisted I preferred to wait for her, the assistants had already started anesthesia and graft extraction. She eventually did important part of the work (graft extraction and channels), but then left to pick up her children, and I never saw her again. At least 50% of the surgery was done without her presence. This is not acceptable for a procedure that costs 2.450 Euro.

No one spoke proper English, which made communication vague and unclear throughout. After the procedure, I was left completely alone. While I was still eating, I was handed medication — and then everyone simply left the building. I was promised a pillow for sleeping — that never came, and nobody followed up.

Then came the confusion: the aftercare materials (medication instructions, headband, etc.) were branded with “Estetoria,” not HealVIP. I had asked Kagan in advance who I was booking with — he insisted it was HealVIP. Until today, I still don’t understand who was medically and legally responsible. This lack of transparency was deeply disappointing.

The next day was even worse: I came back expecting a follow-up — but no one at the clinic even knew I was coming. I never saw the team who had treated me again. I had to ask random staff in the same medical office — people completely uninvolved in the original procedure — to do my hair wash, because no one who really knows Kagan’s oder my operation team was reachable. When I finally reached him on the phone after waiting for almost an hour, he came up with an excuse: he allegedly couldn’t come because his father was sick, he hadn’t slept all night, and had been in the hospital. Whether true or not — this was my only follow-up day, and I was left alone once again.

Even worse: I was charged €2450 in cash, without a proper receipt, and Kagan vanished after the money was paid. We only wrote occasionally via WhatsApp and he organized more airport transfers but when I complained for the first time after the operation day he apparently decided not to show up at all. I felt abandoned and deceived.

Let me be fair: I cannot yet judge the final hair transplant result. The doctor — Arife Genç — seemed technically competent. As I’ve now found out, she and her clinic Estetoria have around ten years of experience and seem to be solid. So, with some luck, the result may turn out fine. But one could also get completely unlucky — especially with such an unstructured and unclear setup. The entire organization, environment, and handling by Kagan Özsarac was unprofessional, opaque, and unacceptable.

This was not a medical experience — it was a transaction in a rented room. No structure, no support, no care. I would never recommend HealVIP or Kagan Özsarac to anyone.
