I joined Hear and Play because I wanted to understand chords and play more by ear instead of just following sheet music.

The lessons have been really easy to follow + they explain things in a way that actually makes sense when you sit down to practice. Already started noticing chords and progressions I probably would have missed before.

It’s been a good experience so far! I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to feel more confident playing piano.

HearAndPlay has been innovative, inspirational, challenging and supportive. The program is so engaging and it is lively interactive. While I had some knowledge of music HearAndPlay move by playing beyond notation to actually making music. May not be ready for the stage or Sunday service but I am growing daily. Thank you Bro. Hear and Play has been one of the best applications on the internet today. No matter what Gospel /Christian song you want to learn, you can find it here. And not only do you learn the song but you learn how it applies to other songs as well.

Hear and Play Program is an excellent program to learn and develop your piano skills. The concepts and techniques you’re taught and trained are absolutely amazing 🤩. When I started this journey in the program I knew zero, maybe where C is on the piano. My family and friends are shocked as to how much I have learned. The Director, Coaches and Staff are the best. The program also offer you a bundle of classes and workshops to attend for growth and development. I highly recommend this program to anyone that has a desire to learn piano as a beginner and others that already play and want to play at a greater level in piano. You will not be disappointed in this program.

At this time I would give a low rating not because of their methods of teaching. From the workshops' attended the teaching sessions have been outstanding. What is disappointing I have had two different times scheduled to find out information about the VIP program with confirmation emails concerning my appointment by a phone call,only not to get the call based on a scheduled appointment. This does concern me regarding commitment on their part. Left messages and texted as instructed but no response.

What can I say about Hear and Play! It's simply a world class music program. I've always loved the piano and went from one music teacher to another for years but still couldn't play. At Hear and Play, especially the VIP Coaching part of it, music is explained so that anyone can understand the theory. Not only that, Dr. Onye doesn't just explain and teach us how to play the piano; he trains and develops us into true musicians. I have truly found my last piano teacher and my last music school at Hear and Play, and I'm so grateful!

The Hear and Play VIP program is Awesome. The coaches are very knowledgeable and supportive. My piano knowledge and playing has really leveled up since joining. I would definitely recommend joining, if you’re interested in learning to play the piano.

I have been in the Hear and Play program for eight months now, and the knowledge I have gained in this short time span is amazing. I’ve implemented just a few concepts taught and now friends and family notice the difference and compliment me each week on my growth. I would highly recommend this program for everyone and all ages. I am a senior, but the concepts are taught in a way where everyone can understand and quickly implement the theory.

I highly recommend Hear and Play Music to anyone wanting to learn and grow as a musician. The coaches and teachers are knowledgeable, encouraging, patient, and truly invested in their students success. The lessons are easy to follow, practical, and designed to help you make real progress.

What has made my experience great is being able to practice with instructors who have actually been through the program, understand the program and can relay the message of the program over to students I enjoy being able to learn and grow in my musical journey being able to ask questions and even when feeling overwhelmed I can reach out to instructors and peers and receive encouragement. The road isn’t easy but being able to learn makes it endurable, if you don’t get it the first you can repeat it again, I feel I have grown more in this program in my ability to stretch my piano playing and understanding of what I am doing. I look forward to greater learning in the weeks to come.

Hear and Play is an awesome program. I love the fact that the coaches, staff, and students are supportive and encouraging. There are multiple opportunities for growth. There are a lot of systems in place to ensure a successful time in the program. The experience is better than I can put in words.

The VIP Program at Hear and Play is very knowledgeable in the music community across the globe. People from all musical levels have learned to play, or have become better players in playing by ear. This program has been around for over 25 years or more, so it has stood the test of time. The Instructors who teaches the classes are very knowledgeable in their craft. Most people who have came through this program were blessed in learning to play, or learning to become a better player.

This is the best piano program by far I encourage everyone who really wants to learn piano Join hear and play the coaches are amazing and they will help you to reach your goal in learning piano need extra help they will help they never leave a student behind. Your treated like family from all aspects the community is awsom your never alone there is always someone to help if you don’t understand ! I joined knowing nothing and now I can play and understand the basic fundamentals for piano and understand music language. This is my home! I started my piano journey with VIP program here at Hear&Play in October 2025 (I could not play a song) and I have been blown away with all that I have learned and by my progress in this program. This program is so well organized and everyone is so helpful, from the Music Director and from all the coaching staff. The staff maintain a high level of professionalism with a spirit of excellence that is demonstrated in every class.

I believe that this program is so in depth that the students should get a certificate of completion at every level because once you complete the progressive level, I believe, you can play anywhere and be successful and sought after.

I would promote this level of music training for beginners all the way to advanced players because there is so much to learn that everyone benefits from this training program.

To anyone who is contemplating whether or not to join this program, I say, jump on in and watch how God will elevate you in your musical journey. The financial investment is worth every penny.

The VIP has given me multiple ways of learning in order to advance my piano and music skills. When I first started almost 3 years ago, I attended classes live almost daily. This was essential as I strengthened foundational music concepts and learned new ones. As life's challenges interrupted my piano schedule, I was still able to continue my growth through VIP class playbacks, Coach and student video posts, and class breakdown sheets by Dr Onye and Coaches. When feeling a little disconnected or discouraged, the weekly emails or Coach comments/calls kept me grounded. My investment in the VIP program has been a blessing to me, my piano skills, and my musicianship.

It is an absolute blessing to have found this program that focuses on teaching people how to play gospel music! The fact that you have a replay page that allows you to get continuous music lesson is priceless! I love my new musical community that I have found. Everyone is so encouraging and willing to share what they have already learnt. Absolutely great program!!

Watching the Diminished Chord tutorial video answered so many questions! Overall the entire advertisement was such an enjoyable experience as well. The material was not overwhelming with difficult collegiate musical just enough term, that students don't know yet. I also enjoyed seeing the fingering patterns as well.
