I spent a lot of time researching who to do my PT qualifications with and I made the right choice with HFE. The course was very comprehensive and the practical weekends were fantastic.

Special thanks to my support tutor, Eleana, for her motivation and constant availability; to Frazier, for the fantastic practical training and assessment weekends; and to John, for his prompt feedback and detailed responses to the case studies.

I would highly recommend HFE for anyone considering qualifying as a PT.

I really enjoyed this course and the experience I have gained from it. The feedback was extremely helpful and insightful and Eleana, my personal tutor for the course, was honestly amazing, very supporting, professional and overall aided me in completing this course so thank you! The online platform was also easy to use and access as everything was clear and laid out well.

I have been completing this course and have found the content support style of learning all exceptional. I have dyslexia and I am an older learner who lacked in confidence however all the way through I have been supported guided and challenged in a way that has lead me to feel I CAN DO THIS

I had a great experience with HFE. The course was excellent, with support available throughout whenever I needed it. The online learning platform was easy to access and simple to follow, making the whole process smooth and enjoyable. Everyone was professional, friendly, and supportive, especially my tutor Dani, who was incredibly kind, encouraging, and helpful. I highly recommend the Mat and Reformer Pilates course.

I have recently finished the level 3 mat pilates diploma and whilst there was some good factors about this course, I feel that there were more negatives during my experience than positives unfortunately. When doing my research on this course I saw so many brilliant reviews both written online and in video format on Tik Tok, however I do feel that there are some aspects of this particular course that are lacking which need to be reviewed in honesty.

Good points of this course include:
- Detailed and helpful hand books
- In depth anatomy multiple choice exams
- An easy to navigate online system

Negatives points of this course include:
- unpersonal tutor experiences, I felt that the tutors wanted to get me off of the phone whenever I called and I felt annoying. Their attitude is sometimes as if you should know the anwser already but having not done a course such as this before, I didn't know.

- In person weekend tutors - the tutors on the inperson weekend are very harsh and strict, I felt like I was treated like a child at school majority of the time not like a 31 year old woman who has actively chosen to pay above £1000 for the course, we were being told to be quiet, sit down, put our phones away, pay attention, looked at strangely for asking questions.

- The in person tutors contradict themselves and each other a lot, if you get multiple in person tutors a lot of them give out different views or advice, this is so confusing and left everyone on the course constantly confused and worried.

- The information is packed way too tightly into a few days, we were teaching on the 1st day with little to no information on how or what was involved. It felt so overwhelming and there was lots of tears within the group.

- The teaching felt like tick boxes on their end, there was little to no explanation and when we asked questions.

- If you made a friend on the course, you were split up. Again, felt like I was treated as a school child not a paying adult.

- My course tutor left throughout my course and I wasn't made aware, I then got given a new tutor who told me to change parts of the assesment plan, when going back to the in person weekend with the new assesment plan the course tutor for the in person weekend told me it was wrong, meaning I had to change this the NIGHT before my exam leading to a lot of stress.

- I recently rang to get help on setting up now I've qualified and was asking questions about health and safety, risk assesments and Par Q's, I was told 'google is your best friend' which I dont think is good enough really for such an expensive course.

I am really proud and happy to be qualified now and feel that aspects of this course I would recommend. However, sadly I do feel that given the price of this course there are many things to be improved and changed. I think all in person tutors need to be working off the same information and syllabus, they need to speak to paying students as adults and issue the help they are there to give.

This course is expensive and I feel that the level of professionalism is mediocre in reflection to the price on the whole.

Would highly recommend the Yoga teaching HFE level 3 course. If you are wanting to branch out and become a teacher, this is the best way to do it. It teaches you so much knowledge about where Yoga originates from ancient text, religion and practice, health and fitness as well as anatomy and physiology. It truly has a bit of everything to extend your knowledge to safely tech and practice. The tutors on the course are wonderful and helpful and really do everything to ensure you pass.

Great resources to assist in completing coursework. Weekly support from a designated tutor. The option to complete training either on-line or face-to-face helps fit the course around people's schedules

Tutors were amazing.. there when you need them and always willing to answer the phone if in doubt . I didn’t enjoy the filming in one whole section. But over all a great experience

Did my level 2 and 3 PT course with them and it all went smoothly allowing you to get it done as fast or as slow as you want and whenever any extra help was needed my tutor Sarah Cole was always able to help out.

Just achieved my L2 Gym Instructor Certification and had the lovely Eleana as my tutor. She was so helpful and always reassured me along the way. Thank you so much HFE and especially Eleana!!!!

Giving a five star rating as I felt continually supported when needed. Eleana and the team were great with answering queries when needed. Course was challenging at times - but that’s down to my concentration span and not the course content. My only complaint is that when my practical video assessment was referred for two mistakes I had to pay a small fee to redo to resubmit, which took the course cost higher than advertised. My personal opinion is that we should be able to submit as many as needed as long as it’s within the 6-month window - or increase the price to cover any potential referrals.

I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to begin a future in the health and fitness industry. The depth of information and level of detail is second to none. Although the requirements for instructing and course work is of a very high standard the participants will benefit from becoming a level above the competition. I had an excellent tutor (Sarah) who brought the best out in me knowing just what to tell me enabling me to learn and not be coached through out the course. I will be advancing my learning with HFE and hope to complete more courses with them in the future.

Where do I start
Level 3 matt pilates
-on line training material poor, delivered by someone with a monotone voice - not engaging
-the WORST format for on line assessments, the form is poor you cannot modify the boxes, you cannot see what you are writing
-Tutor - waste of time, never calls when they are suppose to if they bother to call at all its obvious that they are just going through the motions & cannot wait to get you off the phone so they can tick the box
-Workshops -no consistency in tutors, 3 weekends, 3 different set of tutors all with their own opinion of what is required to pass the practical exam.
The only plus point is a chip could pass the course

I did my Level 3 Pilates Practitioner qualification with HFE, and had great experience. Really good training resources, super interesting f2f sessions, tutors that are going extra mile to support us. My tutor Dani was amazing, always available, helpful and positive.

The tutors were very helpful and got back to me very quickly and the courses were very interesting

Great user interface with this company's learning portal - really easy to use and track your progress.

The support tutors are very supportive and helpful throughout the course and the course content is always very in-depth and interesting.

Highly recommend to anyone wanting to level-up their fitness qualifications!

I wish there were a zero-star option. My experience with Health and Fitness Education (HFE) has been extremely disappointing and stressful, mainly due to the lack of genuine learner support.

HFE strongly advertises excellent learner support, transparency, and a student-centred approach. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. When I faced difficulties during my course, I was repeatedly met with rigid policy-based responses, dismissive communication, and refusal to engage in meaningful dialogue.

I contacted HFE on multiple occasions seeking guidance and support, yet the responses felt defensive rather than supportive, and at times abrupt and unprofessional. Instead of helping resolve issues, I was simply referred back to policies, with little empathy or flexibility.

I dealt directly with:
• Arron Ryan (Careers Coach) – communication was rude and unhelpful.
• Sarah Cole (Learner Support Coach) – offered minimal practical support and relied solely on policy responses.
• Rick Gardiner (Manager) – refused further discussion and stated HFE’s position was “final”.

The complaints process felt one-sided, with no genuine attempt to understand the learner’s position. At times, phone conversations were rushed or ended abruptly, which added to the stress rather than easing it.

HFE promotes values such as support, care, fairness, and professionalism, but in my experience they do not practice what they preach. When things go smoothly, the course may seem fine — but when a learner genuinely needs help, the support simply is not there.

I am also concerned that my experience does not reflect the overwhelmingly positive reviews seen online, which makes me question how representative those reviews are when real problems arise.

This course has caused me significant emotional stress and financial strain. I strongly advise anyone considering HFE to get everything in writing, read every policy carefully, and be prepared for very limited flexibility or understanding if you encounter difficulties.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend HFE.

Really great experience, completed the online course and there was a lot of help available to successfully complete my qualification. Eleana was especially helpful, always able to call me to talk me through it :)

Danielle was amazing as my support tutor, she was eager to help and was readily available for any questions.

And the in person sessions were very informative and made passing the course so much easier

Highly recommend HFE- I done my L2 PT and now I’m back for my L3!

As a military girl on the go all the time and unpredictable work hours my fantastic tutor Eleana made my studies so much smoother. Eleana provided quality mentorship and easy guidance when navigating my end assessment. Eleana went above and beyond to accommodate my changing work patterns to make sure I still got my coursework / assessments done!! What a gem.
