Let down

A Jaguar F pace. While the car itself that i bought is in great condition and well presented visually, there are a couple of issues which concern me. There is a constant judder when braking, suspect warped discs and there is a tapping noise from the engine when cold, maybe the timing chain ( i hope not). The owners manuals are missing and there is no jack or wheel brace, no doubt on ebay now. The car was supposed to be serviced prior to pick up, no evidence of that. The warranty value is £350. Not worth the paper its written on. I assumed the car had some road tax put on it as nothing was said. Most reputable dealers would do this or at least advise. Turns out my wife has been driving around for a week without tax.
I have emailed OJ with the faults but not been replied to. Overall the inspection and prep could have been better. Disappointed

Over 1 month later, still waiting for the V5

Miss led information

Good service from the start apart from the fact the sales man said he muted new tyres due to the mot said they are barely league turns out they didnt change them and just swapped them over front to back...
Really disappointed as I worked hard to purchase our fam car from them..

AVOID!!

I would strongly advise anyone to be cautious when buying from Highlanders.

I was told the car I purchased had one previous owner, but the V5C later confirmed two. When I raised this, the dealership became unresponsive and unhelpful, despite repeated emails.

Within months of purchase, the engine warning light came on, and the car became unsafe to drive. Despite contacting them several times, I’ve received no practical assistance. only delays and vague responses.

I’ve since had to involve Toyota Financial Services and the Financial Ombudsman Service, and I’m now trying to have the car repaired through the warranty Highlanders provided, simply to make it drivable.

Overall, I’ve found the service misleading, dismissive, and frustrating. Buying a car should come with transparency and support. unfortunately, I’ve experienced neither.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We value all customer feedback and are happy to respond to the points you've raised.

We note that you purchased a 2018 Model Diesel Range Rover Velar approximately six months ago, and you have now contacted us regarding the number of former keepers listed on the vehicle.

To clarify, you attended our premises to view, road-test, and inspect the vehicle and its documentation prior to purchase. At that time, the V5 showed one previous keeper (two owners in total, including the registering dealership). Upon registering the vehicle in your name, it would then reflect two former keepers, now bringing the total to three owners, including yourself.

This information was available and accessible to you before purchase, and no discussions or representations were made by us concerning the number of previous owners. As such, we have provided all relevant details, and we are unable to offer any compensation in relation to this matter. Your claim was properly reviewed and subsequently closed.

Following the closure of that claim, you reported an amber engine management light, which is likely emissions-related. We offered a complimentary diagnostic inspection at our workshop by our expert technician to help establish the cause of the issue and assist with remedial work, but unfortunately, you have not taken up this offer and have advised that you are instead pursuing the matter with your finance provider.

Given the time elapsed since the purchase and the additional mileage now covered, we do not believe there is a valid basis for rejecting the vehicle. However, we remain open to discussing a potential buy-back should you wish to move on from the vehicle.

In any case, we are still willing to support you in resolving this matter and would welcome the opportunity to work together. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our aftersales team directly if you wish to proceed.

From the get go OJ was fantastic

From the get go OJ was fantastic. He was friendly and happy to show us around.
He was honest with us, there was no “pushy sales” pitch at all. Took us for a test drive, and advised the things we noticed would be looked at and sorted ready for collection- (which they were).
Any questions we asked were answered, and if we needed a couple of minutes to chat, the guys were happy to leave us to talk and come back.
Only thing “bad” thing I can say is, it’s shame about the keys not being in a Keyring (haha).
Such a lovely welcoming environment, the lady on reception is friendly & smiley- which you don’t see very often!
OJ & Gursh in the sales office are great guys, and we were able to have a laugh with them.
Great service all round.
I would recommend these guys!

I dealt with Gursharen Sooch and he was very helpful with everything. Couldn’t ask for any more. He went through everything with me and made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Would definitely recommend dealing with Gursharen and will definitely will be using here again.
