Reliable and speedy deliveries. Fantastic company

After a very poor start causing us to be without heat and hot water owing to logistical delivery problems with Highland Fuels Lerwick everything is now sorted.

Thank you Highland Fuels Lerwick.
This morning Lerwick Highland Fuels contacted us and told us a driver would bring us 100l of oil to keep us going until they could deliver the rest of the oil tomorrow.
Ist March
Emergency delivery has just been made so we can now have hot water and heat.

After a difficult logistical problem Highland Fuels Lerwick has come up trumps.
We cannot thank you enough for your intervention and doing your best.😊
A big thank you to the customer service agents and drivers.

Absolutely Atrocious service! OAPS with underlying health conditions having to wait at least 7 days for a delivery, no hot water, no heating and a boiler system which is locked out and will now require a plumber to repair it once a fuel delivery is made!
Discriminated against due to living on an island!

Okay, so, let me tell you a story:

Last year, an unfamiliar driver to me delivered our oil from you. I had requested 900 litres but he had been told to deliver only 600. I said: 600 litres, is that all? He replied, ‘Well how much do you want?’

Of course I knew what he meant and said ‘No. 600 will do.’

I imagine this has been going on for a while. I didn’t mention this when the area manager came because I didn’t want to get anyone in to trouble, and it sounded like they were going to do the right thing. But I’m not losing money so you can tell the area manager that his delivery drivers are at it—and I’m pleased to say I didn’t take the extra oil.

I am now going to call the police and trading standards and explain it to them. This is theft, straight out theft, and I will not lost hundreds of pounds to let you sweep you every day.

Your area manager was spot on. The sold an extra 300 litres to a customer, and then underfilled my tank and switched the bills of sale on the system after they’d done it.

We won’t be using you anymore. I think you should also know that this email is also my review of your company.

UPDATE: Tank filled. After a week it’s only gone down 1/2 inch.Remaining theory: fuel was stolen. My stepfather checked the delivery ten minutes after it was made. It is ludicrous to suggest someone stole half a tank in that ten minutes.

Cheats! And don’t listen to their reply below. They are lying, cheating dick heads.

After a thorough investigation into your fuel delivery on 28/11/23 which included a site visit, vehicle tracking check, meter reading and meter sequence check we have concluded the delivery of 900ltrs did take place.

Unfortunately, we think the fuel could have been stolen or possibly lost due to leakage.

Terrible company to deal with. They point blank refused to deliver oil to me despite being costumer to them for the last 7 years! They phoned me and told me to change my oil tank, very poor service

Placed order, accepted, paid for. Three weeks later, order cancelled out of nowhere stating they won't deliver to our house despite having done so previously. Fair enough if for whatever reason you change business area/equipment but don't take my money for weeks then change your mind leaving me quite literally, in the cold.

I dont know whats happened to a once great company, but recently highland fuels have gone downhill with their reliability to anyone living on an outlying island in Shetland. They used to deliver up to 3 times a week, now you are lucky to get a delivery fortnightly. Bad news if you happen to run out of fuel. Keep being told they either dont know when delivery will be, or say tomorrow, tomorrow etc.
