A fantastic team of knowledgeable travel agents who helped book me and my family onto a last minute holiday. The professionalism they showed was exceptional and checked on us when needed. could not recommend enough. Thankyou Gareth and team.

On the 30th May 2026 I sat in Holloways Travel with less than 9hrs to my flight to Japan. I tried to get flight ticket information during the week and was fobbed off with staff telling me to wait till at least 24hrs before my flight. I still didn't receive the information from them. Hence why calling in on the morning of my flight. They still didn't help me. Thankfully I did manage to get some sense out of the holiday company exottica directly though. I chose to support this local business and wish I didn't bother. I wanted take the worry out of arranging a memorable holiday, instead I ended up stressed out to the point that I didn't have that "Holiday Excitement" feeling. They literally took my money and made a commission on it and left me to it. Any emails sent were for me to print out, but the last email was in really bad taste that I would never recommend or use this travel agents again. Here's a copy of that email:From: Gareth Holloway

The reason why I think this email is in bad taste is that, I had already purchased Japanese Yen currency using them, when I could have just used my bank.
Update to reply: utter rubbish. You have cameras in your premises. So I would like you to show my friends and relatives, where I upset your staff. You have personally attacked my character. Shame on you! I have no wish to enter your premises again thank you. Also calling my phone whilst I was travelling to the airport was far too late. I can provide your business with phone logs showing the calls coming in and out of my phone. My sister can bring them in to dispute your staff lies. No doubt you have my payment details, so my refund can be sent through. Another option is for a cheque to be issued.I can authorise my sister to collect refund. Sending an email through unvetted by a business is poor practice.

We are sorry to read your review and that you feel disappointed with your experience.
We take customer service very seriously and feel it is important to clarify a few points. Following your concerns, multiple attempts were made to contact you by telephone, including by the business owner, however unfortunately these calls went unanswered and there was no facility to leave a voicemail. We are also currently attempting to contact you regarding a refund that is due to you, but again have been unable to make contact.
Our team made every effort to assist you both before and on the day of travel. While we fully appreciate that travel-related issues can be stressful, the language and manner used towards members of our team during these interactions was not acceptable. Several members of staff were left visibly upset after trying to help and resolve your concerns, which is something we take very seriously. Our team deserve to be treated with the same respect and courtesy that they strive to show every customer.
Regarding your flight documentation and check-in, the booking was with Air China through a third-party operator. As explained to you, online check-in was not available for this booking and check-in was required at the airport. This information had been provided prior to departure. The timing of airline ticket issuance and documentation is determined by the airline and tour operator, not by Holloways Travel, and unfortunately this is outside of our control.
Regarding the internal email referenced in your review, this was an internal communication between colleagues and was never intended for customer viewing. The comment relating to travel money was simply a routine business note regarding a product we offer to many customers travelling overseas and was not intended to cause offence. At no stage did this affect the service provided to you or the assistance our team attempted to give.
We are pleased that you were ultimately able to enjoy your trip to Japan. However, we do not accept the suggestion that we “took your money and left you to it.” We have clear records of our efforts to assist, the information provided regarding your booking, our attempts to contact you, and our ongoing efforts to discuss the outstanding refund due to you.
We remain willing to resolve any outstanding matters and would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly. Please contact us at your convenience so we can discuss your concerns and arrange the refund that is currently awaiting collection.

Booked a last minute holiday to Sharm El Sheikh with Holloways Travel and they were absolutely amazing through every step of the way.
I sent messages to them quite late in the night, not expecting a reply until the next day but their replies are amazing! I was back and forth deciding on whether to go or not as it was so last minute and we have a one year old baby. I unfortunately missed the first deal because of this but went to the shop the next day and Gareth was really quick on finding me a new deal at a great price. The others in the shop were even playing with my little boy when I was booking the holiday, they are so friendly and welcoming.
Having been on our holiday now, I can say that the process was absolutely seamless. Our hotel was amazing with great views, transfers were waiting for us and we had an amazing holiday making memories with our little boy.
Will recommend Holloways Travel to everyone, we will definitely be using them again!

As a former owner of properties in Menorca for the last 20 odd years we were totally out of the loop as regards to different holiday destinations. Gareth at Holloway Travel listened to my rather precise picky requirements for a trip to Greece and said that I'd been wrongly advised and recommended a totally different location. I contacted Gareth & asked if he could match or beat a price I’d found on a package holiday. Gareth responded in a timely manner with “let me see what I can do for you” true to his word with a better deal too. From start to finish Gareth was in constant contact ensuring we had everything in place, made sure the booking met our expectations with a welfare passenger.
It was a stress free booking process with a genuine commitment to ensure Gareth had done everything & more for us.

Recently returned from a fabulous holiday to Italy. Gareth was able to meet all our holiday requirements and was always there to swiftly answer any queries we had beforehand. I don’t book holidays abroad as a rule but I contacted Gareth quite late evening about a surprise trip away for my Dad I asked for a few things to be included 1 being a historical hotel in centre and within minutes I got forwarded the perfect surprise get away with every criteria met.
Absolute pleasure to speak to no question was too stupid as I even made a mistake on information and it was corrected by Gareth straight away.
