Holmes Carpets 

Companies actually awful they closed down on the 1st of March didn't actually contact us to inform us that they were closing down yet they went through and took a deposit down for work booked in for the week commencing the 20th of March so I would not recommend using this company at all disgusting service

Easily the worst company I’ve ever dealt with!
I’ve now had 5 appointments (which I have to take days off work for) they have arrive for 2 of them. This has been going on for about 5 months now… still without a carpet. I’ve left 20+ messages with them over this time, not once have I been called back! Absolutely shocking

When i went to the shop,they were nice professional people.Then they sent this grump around to my house to give me an estimate for a new laminate floor.He came round 3 hours late on the day arranged then rang me to say he was outside.So i opened the door after he rang me on my mobile and got this really miserable strop complaining that i didnt hear him knock.There`s a knocker on the door,why didnt he use that? Anyway he came in and just said here`s the wood samples and started the measuring.I cannot tolerate impoliteness from a company i`m paying to do work on my house.Someone ranting at me my door where my neighbours could have heard.So i had a go at him and he left and he had the audacity to question my attitude.Just stupid because i was the customer.

I had an lvt floor fitted by Karl today. He did an excellent job, great attention to detail. I could tell he really know his stuff and cares about what he is doing. Nice guy, great fitter! Thanks

What a letdown!
Visit to showroom on 30 July was good. Provisional estimate supplied and appointment made for measuring. Man came to measure on August 3. He didn’t bring samples as agreed.
Same day received an estimate by email. Without explanation it was £224 more than the one previously supplied . I rang the office. The person who responded knew nothing about my case. He said he would make enquiries and get back to me. He didn’t. Rang again
the next day. Different person - same result
I sent email to firm expressing my extreme dissatisfaction. I had no response

I had been let down by a different fitting company and Holmes’s Carpets assisted by installing in a very short space of time. The work done was so meticulous. Thanks Karl

Excellent service from start to finish. Didn't have to wait long to have our floor fitted. Kept us up to date by text when and what time they would be with us. The men did an excellent job and and finished in 2 days. We would recommend this company, and will use them again.

Had my new carpet fitted this morning, it looks fabulous. I had two lovely men who were a pleasure to have in our home, they were bubbly, polite and left everywhere spotless, excellent workmen. Holmes Carpets are a professional firm and they put the customer first, definitely will use again, thank you.

Holmes Carpets offer a first class service.

My first contact was with the owner, who carried out a home visit to measure and so that I could choose suitable flooring. He was professional in every way but also highly personable. Being able to choose the flooring and carpets from samples at home (rather than going to the store) made such a difference as I was able to see them in the light and shadow as they are at home.

I live in a flat and so many firms expect all furniture to be moved, which simply isn’t possible. This was not expected and the fitters were perfectly happy to work around what I couldn’t move.

Although I was concerned and surprised about the need to pay in full at the outset, I was kept informed at every stage and didn’t have too long to wait for the fitting.

The fitters were excellent, utterly trustworthy and reliable and very pleasant. They carried out the work to the highest standard. I’m delighted with both the LVT and the three carpets.

So often, carpets, fitting and door joinery have to be arranged and paid for separately but not with Holmes, who operate as a one stop shop, which I greatly preferred.

I had Holmes Carpets out today to fit carpets & LVT in my new home. We had Carl and Jordan out to do the work, and they were absolutely brilliant from start to finish, and are an asset to the company. Besides from the quality of the work, these guys were amazing, making sure I was happy with everything - they listened to everything I wanted and made it perfect. I would never go anywhere else now, not only for the quality and finish of the floors, but for the fantastic staff and customer service too. Overall, I couldn’t recommend enough 😊

This is the third time I have used Holmes Carpets and I have been extremely satisfied on each occasion. A superb showroom is well stocked with every quality of products and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. I should like to give a special mention to Steve who dealt with me in the showroom and came to measure. Also Carl and Jordan who did the fitting quickly and perfectly with no fuss and cleaned up afterwards. Carl even went the extra mile by mending the broken handle on the door for me.

Laid new underlay for carpet, including 2 different thicknesses. Other companies were reluctant just to lay underlay. Did a good job. Arrived at time specified.
